The Obama Presidential Center is gearing up for its grand opening in June, but there is still lots to do before the doors open. One of those things is getting people in place who will staff the facility. But if you thought that working in Chicago's newest "unique" building might land you a decent salary, well, think again. Your "salary" will come in the form of getting to be part of the "experience."
The Obama Center is looking for unpaid volunteers to make up the workforce. While volunteering for something you believe in is a noble cause, it's just that — volunteering — and volunteering doesn't put food on the table.

At the Oscars we got to see a presenter say Free Palestine and no Wars. An Oscar winner said we should not elect anyone who doesn't care about the children.
They demand to Free Palestine but they never demand that Iranians, Venezuelans, and Cubans get freedom from tyrants.
They didn't protest as tens of thousands of Iranians were mowed down.
They haven't protested when the women's Iranian soccer team was threatened. Where are the women's athletes that always protest anything Trump does? Our sexist, racist President who hates foreigners and Muslims is the one trying to save them.
The Pope and others say wars never achieve peace.

oday, most of those self-identifying as LGBTQ are young women. The growth has been dramatic. In the US, some thirty percent of Gen Z women (age 18-27) are self-identifying as LGBTQ, etc.—mainly lesbian and—compared to around 1-2% for women in the World War 2 generation. This means that almost a third of traditionally marital-age women are likely disinterested in traditional marriage. This is a significant factor in why almost half of Americans are unmarried.
As a result of the decline in marriages, the American replacement rate continues its slide south of the 2.1 children per couple needed for replacement. It is now hovering at 1.6. If one argues that lesbian couples

The Communist dictatorship in Cuba is on its last legs. For decades, it had a parasitical relationship with the Soviet Union, which kept it alive economically, militarily, and politically. The Soviet Union was able to last for as long as it did because it was truly gargantuan, spanning two continents and filled with natural resources which the government utilized to stave off the inevitable end of all Marxist regimes. But when it, in turn, collapsed, Cuba’s economy took an even deeper dive than before, euphemistically referred to as the “Special Period.”
Then, oil-rich Venezuela, the wealthiest country in South America, became Communist and extended a lifeline to Cuba while it, too,

In modern journalism, narrative comes first.
The storyline is written before the reporting begins.
Facts arrive later — if at all.
A now-deleted social media post from CNN offered a striking example of how easily reality can be reshaped when facts collide with the wrong storyline. When two suspects were arrested after throwing homemade bombs near the residence of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, CNN initially described them as “two Pennsylvania teenagers [who] crossed into New York City … for what could’ve been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather.”
The attempted bombing was mentioned only afterward.
The framing read less like a crime report and more like the opening line

The rumor that's circulating in Middle Eastern political networks claims that Iranian cleric Hojtaba Khamenei may be in poor condition while he struggles to command respect among key figures inside the regime.
Mojtaba Khamenei remains widely viewed as the center of Iran's leadership after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who served as Iranian supreme leader for over 30 years and whose death created a sudden leadership vacuum.
Iranian state media later confirmed the killing and declared a 40-day national mourning period as the regime moved quickly to maintain control and reassure supporters that the government remained intact. The Iranian supreme leader has held ultimate authority over Iran's military forces,

"The desire of power in excess, caused the angels to fall; the desire of knowledge in excess, caused man to fall: but in charity there is no excess [emphasis added]; neither can angel, nor man, come in danger by it."
Francis Bacon (1561-1626)
In his active political career, Bill Clinton, at times, displayed genius. However, his post-presidency defines how an arrogant, proud person can cruelly destroy a charity’s ability to perform good works lawfully.
Francis Bacon, an intellectual giant, understood that true charity only benefits the recipient. Bill is the opposite. In thousands of pages of word torrents, Bill seems to suggest that activities pursued through “his” foundation served as a kind of

Not only is the Democrat party anti-American, it is shot through with an anti-democratic streak that is ever more apparent.
Like every tyranny throughout history -- communist, Marxist, socialist -- citizens are disarmed.
After every gun crime here, as with the murder of a professor at Old Dominion University the other day, the Muslim murderer who was previously charged with a terrorism crime and went to prison, is not blamed; his acquisition of the gun is. If the Iranian citizenry were armed, they would not be sitting ducks today.
The Democrat party is fervently in favor of the gender mutilation of persons suffering with gender dysphoria,

Colorado used to be a pretty good place. When I moved there in 1989, it was still mostly South Wyoming. Oh, there was downtown Denver, where the urban Dems clustered, and there was the People's Republic of Boulder, where they kept all the hippies. But most of Colorado was still pretty sensible. Now, though? It's East California, and nothing makes that case more clearly than the Jefferson County, Colorado board of education defying Title IX by allowing boys in girls' locker rooms, overnight accommodations, and on their sports teams.
It wasn't an isolated case, either. Up to 60 male students may have been given the opportunity to occupy spots for competing

The U.S. military devastated the military installations on Kharg Island, Iran’s major oil transport facility, but left the oil infrastructure alone. President Trump threatened to blow up the oil facilities, too:
“The United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island,” Trump said in a statement Friday evening, referring to an island in the Persian Gulf where most of Iran’s oil is processed.
“I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island. However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and

Is he alive or is he dead? When it comes to the new ayatollah, the answer is ultimately Yes. If he is alive, it won’t be for long. Who wants to tell him?
Sadly, I don’t have any memes yet for Judge Lawrence Van Dyke’s amazing dissent at the 9th Circuit Friday. (If you haven’t heard about this, see the third item here.)

If you vote for Gavin Newsom for president, what do you get?
If you find out, tell him. He would love to know.
The Democrat governor of California recently had occasion to explain what to expect if he entered the Oval Office on January 20, 2029.
Alas for Newsom, his not-ready-for-primetime response recalled other politicians who had no clue why they ran for office.
In Michael Ritchie’s film The Candidate, Bill McKay (the great, recently late Robert Redford) wins a U.S. Senate seat. On Election Night, he is adrift. He is a victorious, albeit empty, vessel. He hides from his adoring crowd just long enough to corner his campaign manager (Peter Boyle) and plead:
