Jill Biden's ex-husband has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his current wife.
Linda Stevenson, 64, was found dead in late December. Her husband, William Stevenson, 77, was arrested Tuesday, Fox 29 reported. He failed to post $500,000 bail and remains in custody.
Biden and Stevenson divorced in 1975, after five years of marriage. Biden married Stevenson when she was 18.

A judge has extended to three years a restraining order taken out by Billie Eilish against a man who repeatedly appeared at her Los Angeles home.
In a hearing, Superior Court Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman agreed to the extension of the May 11 order preventing 24-year-old Prenell Rousseau of Farmingville, New York from attempting to contact or coming within 100 yards (91 meters) of the 18-year-old pop star or her parents.

The Native American tribe that owns the land under Billie Eilish’s multimillion-dollar Los Angeles mansion said celebrities should “explicitly” reference the tribes if they want to use them to virtue-signal.
The Tongva tribe confirmed the “Bad Guy” singer’s $3 million home does sit on its “ancestral land,” after the 24-year-old used her Grammys acceptance speech to rail against ICE and insist that “no one is illegal on stolen land.”
The indigenous inhabitants of the Los Angeles Basin, known as the “First Angelenos,” said they appreciate Eilish’s sentiment, but noted that the performer hasn’t contacted them directly — and insisted that next time, she explicitly reference them.

University of Pennsylvania climate scientist Michael Mann’s losses in court continued to mount Thursday when a D.C. Superior Court judge denied his request to reconsider sanctions against him for having “acted in bad faith.”
As a result, he owes more than $28,000 to two bloggers, who once faced $1 million in damages that a jury had awarded to Mann in his defamation suit against them. The ruling also had strong words concerning Mann’s conduct in the case, accusing him of presenting figures to the jury that he knew to be incorrect.

President Donald Trump on Saturday announced he plans to sue JPMorgan Chase for allegedly “debanking” him after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
“I’ll be suing JPMorgan Chase over the next two weeks for incorrectly and inappropriately DEBANKING me after the January 6th Protest, a protest that turned out to be correct for those doing the protesting,” Trump wrote in a social media post. “The Election was RIGGED!”

Law schools in Texas will no longer need the American Bar Association’s (ABA) approval after the state supreme court ruled this month that the organization will no longer have the final say on accreditation.
Approval of law schools now rests with the Texas Supreme Court, according to the Jan. 6 ruling. Concerns over ABA’s objectivity have been growing in recent months, and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi in February 2025 even accused the organization of subjecting law schools and students “to unlawful race and sex discrimination under the guise of ‘diversity’ mandates” by forcing schools to ensure their student and staff bodies are “diverse with respect to gender, race, and ethnicity.”

A lawsuit filed late last month took Chicago-based McDonald's to task over the McRib sandwich, calling its name a form of false advertising. (snip) The lawsuit said McDonald's has "cultivated a sense of anticipation around the McRib, leveraging its scarcity to drive sales across its many locations."
As CBS News has reported before, the notorious 520-calorie sandwich contains just five simple ingredients: seasoned boneless pork dipped in BBQ sauce, sliced onions, and dill pickles in a toasted homestyle bun.

We've told you quite a bit about Cea Weaver, the housing/tenant advisor to New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Weaver has very strong opinions on homeownership, private property, and white people. You can read about her scary Marxist beliefs in-depth here. Still, the Cliff Notes version is this: homeownership is a tool of white supremacy, she wants to abolish private property, and she hates white people (Weaver apparently hasn't looked in a mirror recently). (snip) Turns out Weaver's mom owns a $1.6 million home in Tennessee.

The Transportation Security Administration flagged nearly $700 million in cash detected in passengers’ luggage leaving the Minneapolis airport the last two years, a massive cash exodus believed to be tied to Somali immigrants and their money couriers, Homeland Security officials told Just the News.
The officials said the cash movements out of Minnesota’s largest airport began about a decade ago – around the time Democrat Gov. Tim Walz took office – and has grown substantially in recent years.

Just as the heat turns up on massive daycare fraud in Minnesota, a Somali-run daycare in Minneapolis claims that someone conveniently broke in during the early morning hours, smashed up a wall, and walked off with the one thing investigators would care about most: records on employees and children. Not cash. Not electronics. “Important documentation.”
The manager, Nasrulah Mohamed, claims the Nokomis Day Care Center was hit sometime between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., with a damaged door, interior vandalism, and missing files on kids and staff.

California’s outrageous law hiding “gender transitions” of kids from parents just took a massive hit in a district court ruling.
The California law mandating that teachers hide gender transitions from parents if the parents do not support radical LGBTQ ideology is unconstitutional, as a new U.S. District Court ruling from Judge Roger Benitez found.
Legal expert Jonathan Turley noted that the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly cited inherent parental rights, and that Benitez relied on one such ruling in issuing his own decision.

The United States is now pursuing a third oil tanker linked to Venezuela, escalating a maritime enforcement campaign that intensified just one day after U.S. forces seized another vessel operating in the Caribbean.
As I reported yesterday, American authorities boarded and seized a tanker earlier this month as part of a broader crackdown on sanctioned oil shipments tied to the Maduro regime. That operation now appears to be only the beginning.
