In October, 2024 the 70-year old widow was sentenced to nine years in prison by District Court Judge Matthew Barrett. Given the lengthy sentence, you'd think that Peters molested a child, pushed someone onto a subway track, or stole $50,000 from a Mesa County bank. You'd be wrong.
