Despite Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro’s ouster, his regime still remains in power in some sectors of the country.
This is because of the Colectivos, pro-Maduro paramilitary groups that have been patrolling the streets “with motorbikes and assault rifles” (Kalashnikovs) to “stifle any dissent,” according to The Guardian.
The patrols have been stopping/searching cars and demanding access to people’s phones to ensure they haven’t expressed support for Maduro’s ouster by the U.S. Trump administration.
The Telegraph has confirmed that the Colectivos are operating as per “a government directive” from interior minister Diosdado Cabello, who’s been seen posing with them:

For decades, Vermont had a well-deserved reputation as one of the most 2A-friendly states in the nation. Permitless carry has been the norm there for decades, and despite the fact that Democrats routinely controlled the state legislature and governor's office, gun control bills found little support among lawmakers. That's all changed over the past fifteen years or so, and while Democrats haven't moved to repeal permitless carry they've enacted a number of new gun laws including a waiting period, Extreme Risk Protection Orders, universal background checks, bans on gun sales to adults under the age of 21, and bans on "large capacity" magazines —

Affluent progressives have the ongoing challenge of maintaining their wealth and status while keeping up appearances of benevolence and compassion. Regarding race, in post-WW II America, as the old use of intimidation by Democrats to manage black people receded, more subtle strategies were needed. These were mentioned by then Senate Majority Leader Lyndon Johnson (LBJ, D-TX) who, in discussing the 1957 Civil Rights Bill with Sen. Richard Russell (D-GA) said: "These Negros, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppitiness.

Will California Gov. Gavin Newsom have the guts to show up in Pacific Palisades on Wednesday morning, the first anniversary of the Palisades Fire, or will he continue to use victims as props for his political ambitions? That's the question on the minds of those who lost their small oceanside community as they prepare to memorialize those killed in the fires.Community groups have planned multiple events to commemorate the anniversary; the two largest are the White Glove Flag Presentation and Remembrance Ceremony, which will "commemorate the twelve Palisadians who lost their lives and pay tribute to the countless individuals and groups who are helping the community recover and rebuild,"

The left erupted in rage Tuesday when the Trump administration unveiled a new website that catalogs the truth about the Jan. 6 riot.
Unlike the Jan. 6 narrative peddled by the left, the website outlines inconvenient facts such as the Democrats’ own culpability in the security failures that precipitated the one-day riot.
The website also pays tribute to peaceful Jan. 6 protesters who were unfairly prosecuted and treated like insurrectionists despite proof that they didn’t even participate in the actual riot.
Responding to the unveiling of the website, CNN’s infamous fact-checker Daniel Dale predictably cried foul, calling it “fake history.”

US forces boarded and seized a sanctioned oil tanker Wednesday morning, more than two weeks after it eluded a blockade around Venezuela and was reflagged as a Russian vessel in a failed bid to evade capture.
Military and Coast Guard personnel boarded the ship, formerly known as the Bella 1 and now called the Marinera, in the North Atlantic between Iceland and the British Isles, US European Command confirmed. The vessel was seized in the North Atlantic pursuant to a warrant issued by a U.S. federal court after being tracked by USCGC Munro,” the Stuttgart, Germany-based command said in a statement. “This seizure supports [the president’s]

Democrat former Rep. Mary Peltola of Alaska is preparing a bid to reenter public office, likely to challenge Sen. Dan Sullivan (R).
That’s music to Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (NY) ears. Schumer, in desperate need of good news, has been working to recruit Peltola since at least summer 2025 after her 2024 defeat for reelection to the House by Republican Rep. Nick Begich.
Peltola’s likely entrance into the race did not catch Sullivan flatfooted. The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has included Alaska in their Senate battleground map in anticipation of a Peltola run —

Protests against the Iranian theocracy spread to most of Iran’s 31 provinces as of Tuesday, including cities that have long been seen as firmly loyal to the ayatollah. The current movement is arguably larger than the “Women, Life, Freedom” uprising that shook the regime in 2022, and today’s demonstrators show no signs of backing down in the face of brutal repression. The BBC cited video confirmation of massive protests in 17 provinces, plus reports of demonstrations in 11 more, although those lacked copious video documentation as of Tuesday morning.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) on Tuesday dismissed the prospect of deploying the military to seize mineral-rich Greenland, even though top White House adviser Stephen Miller declared the ice-covered territory should rightfully belong to the U.S.
“I think that’s probably getting the cart ahead of the horse. I don’t see military action being an option there,” Thune said of a possible U.S. takeover of Greenland after President Trump deposed Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro over the weekend. Thune noted he led a congressional delegation to Denmark, which controls Greenland, last year.
“I led a delegation in August, of senators, and one of our stops was in Copenhagen.

The scandals erupting in Minnesota offer another example of how easy it is for generous U.S. welfare programs to squander billions of dollars. And while it’s important to hold accountable the individuals who figured out how to scam the system, until the system itself is changed, for every billion-dollar fraud that is uncovered, others will take their place. An endless game of whack-a-mole will continue.
However, the system can be changed, and in doing so, it will replace incentives toward corruption with incentives that reward enterprise and hard work.

I’ll post the video outcomes of the Paris summit comments below. However, in the interests of time and cutting to the chase, the picture below highlights the reality of things as they present.
The British-based “coalition of the willing” (+1 USA) assembled in Paris as the operation to manipulate the U.S. into forming the cornerstone of the Ukraine “security guarantees” continues. A great deal of this is public relations and psychological operations intended to create something against President Trump’s expressed intention.
However, everything you need to know about the eventual end of this long exposition is evident in the image that everyone pretends not to see.

This is way beyond winning, this is stunningly brilliant strategy. Not only has President Trump successfully apprehended Venezuela dictator Nicolas Maduro, but the remaining interim government officials have acquiesced to fund a civil restitution plan to pay for their malfeasance.
The government that stole from its people is being forced to pay restitution for their own fraud, abuse and misconduct. As we noted yesterday the immediate issue for Venezuela would be to fill the economic/financial void.
The Sea Island attendees support a quick Machado installation. Trump/Rubio prefer to proceed with more caution, especially because someon.
