Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials continue to do incredible work despite constant harassment and violence, with the latest numbers out of Houston illustrating the impressive efforts of federal officers. Murderers, pedophiles, and gang members are among the more than 3,500 criminal illegal aliens whom ICE arrested in Houston during the six weeks of the Democrat-induced Schumer Shutdown. This is particularly impressive because ICE wasn’t getting paid during this month and a half, as they got thousands of dangerous foreign criminals off our streets. “ICE officers are facing a 1,000% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats,

Let's see if they did this every week for a year, that would be 182,000. Traitor Joe let in several MILLION during his term. This is nice, I applaud their efforts, but way, way inadequate. MUCH faster is necessary to make any real dent. MUCH faster. To get 1 million out in a year, that works our to removing 2,740 every single day. Or in a week, 19,178. We must hire more agents and work many cities at the same time to get to 20,000 per week.

There are approximately 20-30 million illegal aliens in the country, by best estimates. If we take out 20,000 a week, we get about a million a year.....so that means 20-30 years to get them out. We really need to be removing 5 million a year or 8 million a year. This works out to 100,000 per week. 3500 per week is just a drop in the bucket, however wonderful it is, and it is good. Just way too small.

I am very grateful this is happening. I will not complain about the direction this has been going and we need to get more. This is a huge improvement. Thank you men and women of ICE.

To me it feels like 50% of Houston is illegal alien. You cannot swing a dead cat without hitting one.

I do not understand how the brains of liberals work. They oppose the removal of people who are here illegally, including those who have committed major crimes. It makes no sense. If law-abiding citizens and authorities in blue states would help ICE instead of obstructing them, the number removed would be much greater. It still seems impossible to ever get all of them out of this country. ICE agents do a very dangerous job and I pray for their safety. The Biden administration should be held criminally responsible for allowing them to get in this country in the first place.

The Supreme Court of the United States has paused a lower court’s order in Texas that overturned new voting maps. This week, a panel of three federal judges in the Western District of Texas struck down Texas’s redistricting maps. The panel ruled 2-1. Then, Texas appealed to the nation's top court on Friday. The court will issue a response by Monday, Justice Samuel Alito, the associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, said in the Friday order. “IT IS ORDERED that the November 18, 2025, order of the United States District Court is hereby administratively stayed pending further order of the undersigned or the of the Court.

Like most conservatives or libs, I had no idea who Brandon Gill was until March, when I caught this exchange as he grilled NPR chief Katherine Maher. Maher was appearing before Congress as part of her failed effort to save federal funding for public broadcasting. [Tweet, video] For me, that put him on the map, and I’ve followed him more closely since. If you’re not familiar with Gill, he’s a 31-year-old freshman Republican member of Congress who represents the solidly red 26th Congressional District in Texas, not far from Dallas-Fort Worth. He’s one of the youngest members in the House. Gill was born on a military base.

Charlotte, N.C., is making headlines this week because dozens of construction sites have gone silent. ICE swept through the region, and the labor force evaporated almost instantly. A major American city discovered, in real time, that its building boom was being held together by workers who couldn’t legally be there. Watching that footage hit me hard, because I’ve seen it before — not on the evening news, but in the slow collapse of my own childhood community. [Video] I grew up forty miles north of Louisville, Ky., in a one-stoplight town held together by tobacco, construction, and the kinds of gritty jobs that built the region’s character.

It appears U.S. District Judge James Boasberg isn’t done with the issue of the Trump administration’s deportation flights earlier this year. He is now trying to revive contempt proceedings against the White House. From Politico: U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, whose initial contempt proceedings were stymied for seven months by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, said he had the green light to resume after the appellate court lifted the hold on his case last week. “Justice requires me to move promptly on this,” Boasberg said during a hearing on a lawsuit brought on behalf of men deported under President Donald Trump’s unprecedented peacetime invocation of the Alien Enemies Act.

Yesterday, Townhall told you about two horrible crimes in Chicago that happened just this week. In one, a pregnant woman and her child were beaten by a mob of students outside a Chicago school. If that wasn't bad enough, a 26-year-old woman was set on fire on Chicago's Blue Line after reportedly getting into an argument with a career criminal named Lawrence Reed. In the initial reporting, we believed Reed had 22 prior arrests. That's inexcusable enough, but it turns out Reed had 49 prior arrests, including for arson, as well as ten felony convictions. And it seems Reed's victim didn't get into an argument with him at all.

It looks like SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program designed to help struggling Americans put food on their tables, is having a long-overdue and much-deserved "come to Jesus" moment. The program has come under intense scrutiny this year, particularly during the recent government shutdown when a spotlight shone brightly on the massive amount of taxpayer money being wasted on people abusing the system. The SNAP scrutiny kicked off earlier this year when Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., emboldened by the growing Make American Health Again (MAHA) movement, gave permission to West Virginia to ban the use of federal food assistance dollars to purchase soft drinks.

This wild accusation came without a shred of evidence tying Trump to Epstein’s criminal activities. In fact, Trump is arguably one of the few prominent figures who did the right thing and severed ties with Epstein years ago, unlike many Democrats who have since been ensnared in the fallout. Few stories grabbed national attention quite like the Cracker Barrel rebrand did this year. Even amid endless high-profile developments in Washington, the Cracker Barrel rebrand stood out as offensive to Americans everywhere. The backlash was so severe that the company publicly slammed the brakes on their modern makeover and promised Americans they weren't changing a thing.

Stiehm said that classical music transcends international boundaries, but the national anthem pulls the arts back into the orbit of President Donald Trump’s influence.
