We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel sneered on Monday night, parroting the left’s false narrative.

The same man who celebrated President Donald Trump getting blacklisted and then celebrated Tucker Carlson getting fired at Fox News got himself suspended by his fellow leftists at Disney-ABC. On Monday, Kimmel violated FCC guidelines that call for serving the public interest by serving the public a steaming pile of disinformation. “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” he said.
Traditionally, it’s called “the people’s house” because the House of Representatives is supposed to represent and reflect the people to whom the congressional members represent. Republicans in the House threatened to withhold votes if Speaker Mike Johnson did not pass an enhanced House Member Security Funding Bill that includes a payment of $25,000/month per lawmaker to hire their own private security. This is in addition to the pre-existing security packages the House members receive.
The monthly funds would be designated for use hiring private security when the representatives are not in Washington DC. It is the republican wing pushing this demand.
The House overwhelmingly passed a resolution honoring conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Friday, but a significant number of Democrats voted against it, highlighting the deepening political divide in the wake of his assassination.
The resolution, which praised “the life and legacy” of Kirk, passed the Republican-controlled House with 310 votes in favor. While 95 Democrats supported the resolution, 58 voted against it and 38 voted “present,” effectively abstaining. Republicans had warned ahead of the vote that no one should oppose the measure, but many Democrats said they felt Kirk’s death had been politicized and the resolution elevated views they disagreed with.
The Trump administration escalated its fight with Harvard University on Friday, placing the Ivy League school under extra financial oversight and threatening sanctions if it does not provide additional data on its admissions practices.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon said the department was placing Harvard under “heightened cash monitoring,” forcing the school to use its own money to pay out financial aid for students and then seek reimbursement from the government.
She also threatened “further enforcement action” if the school does not turn over records to prove it no longer is considering race in admissions.
Harvard did not respond to a request for comment.
Nearly 60 House Democrats on Friday voted down a resolution honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk — including “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who accused the slain conservative activist of being a “bigot.”
Four of the Dems who voted “nay” hail from New York — AOC, Yvette Clarke, Adriano Espaillat, and Nydia Velazquez — and three represent New Jersey: Reps. Robert Menendez, Bonnie Watson Coleman and LaMonica McIver.
The resolution condemned “in the strongest possible terms” the assassination of the Turning Point USA co-founder and commended law enforcement for arresting and charging Kirk’s alleged killer.
President Trump will sign an executive order Friday adding a $100,000 fee to all H1-B visa applications, a White House official confirmed to The Post.

President Trump on Thursday heavily criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after four House Republicans joined Democrats to help defeat a censure vote over her reprehensible comments following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
"I think she's terrible," Trump said during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One. "I think she should be impeached. I think she's terrible."
While congressional members are often removed from their positions through the process of expulsion, rather than impeachment, the President's words indicate he is incredibly disappointed with the GOP members who let her slide without so much as a reprimand.

We live in an age in which there is a commemorative day for nearly anything and everything one could possibly imagine. For instance, September 17 is recognized as National Apple Dumpling Day, National Professional House Cleaners Day, National Monte Cristo Day, etc. Although some people might think it necessary to celebrate these trivial things on this day, I believe September 17 should be known forever as Constitution Day.
On this day, 238 years ago, the U.S. Constitution was officially signed by 39 bold, brilliant delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.
Less than a year later, the newly minted Constitution was officially ratified by nine of the thirteen states,

The new liberal website, The Argument, conducted an interesting poll of Trump 2024 supporters, Harris 2024 supporters, and those who didn't vote.
One question was about free speech on campus.
"For each of the following, do you believe they should be allowed to give a speech at a college campus?"
Nearly 50% of Trump voters would oppose a transgender rights activist speaking on campus. 86% of Harris voters would support it.
Nearly 55% of Harris voters would oppose Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu giving a talk. 63% of Trump voters would support it.

The city of Chicago has a crime problem. Everyone knows it, including Chicago's mayor, Brandon Johnson, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.

Nicholas J. Roske, the 29-year-old who pleaded guilty in April to the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, will be sentenced on October 3. According to a Friday court filing, Roske faces up to 30 years in prison. The Department of Justice said in the sentencing memo that they deem Roske's action as an act of terrorism.
As RedState reported, in June 2022, Roske traveled from California to Washington, D.C., for the sole purpose of assassinating Kavanaugh. Roske wandered the D.C. suburb near Kavanaugh's home armed with a pistol and ammunition, a crowbar, a "tactical knife," zip ties, and other implements in a duffel bag.
Attorneys for Luigi Mangione asked a federal judge Saturday to dismiss charges against him, arguing that state and federal officials violated his constitutional rights and damaged his chances for a fair trial.
Mangione is accused of killing Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, in December 2024. The high-profile assassination drew national attention in the days after Thompson’s death. On Monday’s show, Kimmel all but declared “this kid who killed Charlie Kirk” to be one of “the MAGA gang,” slammed the right for pretending otherwise and “doing everything they can to score political points” from the assassination.
As video of the smear circulated Tuesday among the overwhelming majority of Americans who never watch the show, public fury mounted and complaints started pouring into local affiliates.
And as ABC affiliates were then complaining to the network,
California Governor Gavin Newsom sparked an uproar on Saturday after his team posted a cryptic message to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
As TGP readers know, Newsom has made himself the leader of the resistance against the Trump Administration, particularly on the issue of illegal immigration. This feud has been heightened ever since Trump sent ICE agents to LA to round up illegals earlier this year.
Perhaps with this in mind, Newsom’s press team posted a tweet that many read as a threat on Noem’s life. It was certainly vague enough to be interpreted that way.

Hernandezsantana, a rabid Trump hater, is being held on $200,000 bail.
