Senate Majority Leader John Thune wants GOP voters to believe that Senate Republicans have no ability to speed up confirmation of the more than 140 Trump nominees languishing in the upper chamber. But that isn’t entirely true.
After returning from Congress’s month-long August vacation, Thune took to the Senate floor on Tuesday to pin the blame for the continued confirmation delay of the president’s appointees squarely on the shoulders of Senate Democrats. Verbally wagging his finger at his leftist colleagues, the majority leader said that “their historic obstruction cannot continue.”

Thune persists in pointing his finger at the Dems...
Except, the ball is not in Democrats’ court — it’s in Thune’s. Contrary to his persistent narrative about Democrat obstruction, the Senate majority leader has always possessed the power to hold the upper chamber in session until confirmation of Trump’s nominees are complete.
John Feckless Thune.

Ask ourselves: WWHRD? What Would Harry Reid DO? Or any other actually effective Senate Majority Leader of the past.

As stated many times, Senate Majority Leader John Thune is a one of the top fetch-dogs for Mitch "MultiUselessMultiFreeze" McConnell. So is John Barroso,(Wyoming).

As Senate Majority Leader John Thune, during the just completed August break, held the senate in pro forma session for the explicit purpose of denying President Trump the ability to make recess appointments. He does not want these people confirmed.

Lets put the blame where it really belongs: On the 95% of the UNIPARTY Frat Brothers and Sorority Sisters that the Senate really is.

Thune is a RINO traitor to MAGA, deserving high marks for his impersonations of Mitch McConnel.
The Swamp has a deep bench, DC's Uniparty barely able to conceal the "Professional Wrestling" aspects of its supposed Dem versus Repub "fights".

Message to Senator Thune, the Democrats are counting on you being the nice guy who wants to follow the rules and not change things too much.
You're being played for a patsy.
They will rule with an iron fist when they get the chance and it won't matter if they have 1 vote margin or it's the VP tie-breaker. They will use that power and change things like they always do for their own partisan benefit.
Change the rules to remove the blue slip and get the WH team in place ASAP.

I've have had lingering doubts about Thune since the tie he was elected... Evidently, I was right. HBis committtment to MAGA has alays been in doubt. He is more of a TREASONOUS Tillis type than a true conservative!

The Dem strategy is to run out the clock and hope to retake Congress next year.
It seems to be working.
If the shoe were on the other foot, Chuck would have chained all the senators to their desks until all the confirmations were complete.
The party of stupid remains stupid.

I have great respect for tradition, but the time has come to break with them in order to get on with the nation's business. Patience and tolerance no longer resonate with the Democrat extremists, and the future of our constitutional republic is in peril.

Yeah, Thune is a huge problem as far as hindering President Trump. However, there are many Rino accomplices waiting to take Thune's place if he is not Senate leader any more, or is primaried.

Pity that John Thune's ego is more important to him than his love of country! No wonder so many people in Congress are so easily compromised. No wonder they are so easily bought! No wonder China gets stronger every day!

Thune is just the target-of-the-day. Republican senators have been weak and cowardly, with a few exceptions, for decades and that's not counting the outright RINOs like Collins and Murkowski.

Thune was one of McConnell's lap dog lieutenants, and every Republican senator knew that--yet they elected him Majority Leader. I hope some conservative entity like Judicial Watch asks all of the Republican senators if they support Thune for Majority Leader ibefore the next primary, and publish that information. I have two Republican senators (Capito and Justice), and I would not support either of them if I knew they desired to support Thune. I am not the least bit surprised about Thune, in fact, I predicted he would hobble President Trump.

I don't care who's to blame...and all the finger pointing doesn't impress me one bit...it's a game they are playing trying to get more power...and I'm sick of it...the pay back negotiations for favors and funds is so political...there's only one problem...WE the people are sick of it....and WE're used to following a "CAN DO"...president Trump...so get it dome Thune.....
