The state of Israel has commenced a multipronged operation against the Iranian regime nuclear weapons program and other military capabilities. Prime Minister Netanyahu announced the operation and rationale in the video below. I would take his statements here at face value. Israel could not live with the Iranian nuclear sword of Damocles hanging over its head. Netanyahu has taken action to preserve the Jewish state and Jewish civilization. If successful, the United States and the West will owe Israel a great debt. To those who have their head screwed on straight, the prospect of an Iranian regime with nuclear weapons is unthinkable.

"Just … follow the money.” – Deep Throat, All the President’s Men That used to be the watchword for investigative journalists. If you want to uncover corruption, find out where the money is coming from and where it is going. At least it used to be. Today? Not so much. At least not when doing so could implicate Democrats or upset the left’s agenda. Case in point is the Los Angeles riots. There’s plenty of reason to believe that the riots are being organized and financed by unsavory characters whose mission is to foment division and violence in the United States.

On Monday, Warner Bros. Discovery made it official that they would be splitting in two with one including their movie and TV production studios, the comic book behemoth DC Studios, HBO, and HBO Max. The other? It’s likely to be far less profitable as it’ll consist of its TV channels, such as Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, Food Network, HGTV, TBS, TLC, TNT, and, most notably here, CNN. In essence, similar to what Comcast did in November. Writing Wednesday night at Puck in his indispensable media newsletter, former CNN media reporter Dylan Byers that CNN could be doomed even more than it already has with “appalling” salaries, “ratings at a nadir,”

Today’s Wall Street Journal editorial “Iran’s nuclear breakout” was written before the events of yesterday evening, but it sheds light on them. This is the substance of the editorial on the resolution passed yesterday by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the editorial’s concluding paragraphs (link in original): * * * * * The IAEA finds that Iran has been hiding nuclear material. Accordingly, “the Agency is not able to verify that there has been no diversion of nuclear material required to be safeguarded under the Agreement to nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices,” it writes. Then there are Iran’s attempts to cover all of this up. Consider its Marivan site.

The ANC's National Democratic Revolution strategy compels dominating the Judiciary; it reads: "judicial independence to be undermined, in part by vesting most appointments to the bench in an ANC-dominated Judicial Service Commission." It was therefore not unexpected that the Constitutional Court might rule in support of the slogan, "Kill the Boer". Sadly, what Ramaphosa actually intends, despite his grand terminology, is that there will be a redistribution of wealth and asset ownership in the form of either expropriation without compensation and/or a mandatory transfer of equity in businesses held by minorities to the black majority.

President Donald Trump signed legislation seeking to rescind California’s ambitious auto emission standards, including a landmark rule that would’ve eventually barred sales of new gas-only cars in California by 2035. In a bill signing ceremony in the East Room of the White House on Thursday, Trump slammed California’s planned zero-emission requirements for new car sales as “a disaster for our country.” During a meandering 50-minute speech, he argued that California’s regulations would raise car prices, hobble American car companies and place an incredible strain on electrical grids across the country. “We officially rescue the U.S. auto industry from destruction by terminating the California electric vehicle mandate, once and for all,”

The most obvious thing in the world probably doesn't qualify as "news" to most HotAir readers but it does to the folks over at NBC News. Today they have a story up about some of the far-left online accounts that are pushing for more violence and destruction from a group of people who have already done a lot of damage in Los Angeles. NBC hasn't completely separated itself from the "fiery but peaceful" mob of other media outlets but in this piece they do at least notice that there is a clear pattern to how the far-left operates. [emphasis added] It was approaching nightfall in Los Angeles on Sunday when black-clad

Standing alongside a hundred civic leaders as police sirens blared in the background, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass delivered her most impassioned critique of the federal response to anti-ICE protests to date Thursday. The mayor — flanked by faith leaders, business leaders and immigrant rights advocates and others — defended the city’s ability to handle the sometimes chaotic protests that have swept across downtown L.A. for the last week, while accusing the Trump administration of deliberately misrepresenting the city as overwhelmed by violence. “To characterize what is going on in our city as a city of mayhem is just an outright lie,” Bass said,

IDF Spokesman Effie Defrin on Friday morning told a press conference that Iran had launched over 100 drones toward Israel in recent hours. He also noted that over 200 IDF aircraft have attacked over 100 targets in Iran with over 330 munitions. He did not say when they would reach Israel, but in April 2025, it took such drones several hours. During that Iranian attack and another attack by Tehran on Israel in October 2024, Israel had a wide alliance of US, Brits, French, and other countries helping to defend it.

After Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. booted the 17-member CDC vaccine advisory panel, the naysayers in the press clutched their pearls and howled their horrors. Here's a typical reaction from -- where else? -- MSNBC: Dr. Sean O’Leary, an infectious disease expert with the American Academy of Pediatrics, told NBC News that Kennedy’s evidence-free accusations are “deeply insulting to the many scientists who contribute countless hours to the process.” The doctor noted that the ACIP panel is “a model for the rest of the world,” adding that Kennedy is now responsible for “manufactured chaos.”

Late last night the IDF began what it said would be several days of airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear program and associated assets. Good for Israel, acting as it has before (the 1967 war, the takedown of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program in 1981 and strikes on Syria in 2007) to preempt a clear existential threat to its continued existence. No serious player on the world stage can honestly deny that Tehran has been on its final run gaining nuclear weapons, and while some will quibble about whether the regime intended to use nukes to destroy “the Little Satan”

Israel deliberately labeled Thursday night’s security-cabinet meeting as a discussion on hostage negotiations in order to lull Tehran and green-light the pre-dawn strike inside Iran, a senior Israeli source told The Jerusalem Post on Friday. According to the official, ministers were briefed in advance that the agenda would focus on the stalled talks for the release of Israelis held in Gaza. “The aim was to put Iran to sleep,” the source said. Once inside the secure forum, the cabinet unanimously approved the military operation and every minister signed a strict non-disclosure agreement, known as a Shomer Sod (“guardian of the secret”) document. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir says the military launched its attack on Iran’s nuclear program and military “because the time had come; we’d reached the point of no return.” “We cannot wait for another time to act, we have no choice,” he says in remarks published by the IDF. “History, both distant and recent, has taught us that in the face of ambitions to destroy us, we must not bow our heads, and so we fight to preserve our existence. Freedom is granted to those who are willing to fight for it,” he adds.
