The state of Washington, which does not officially recognize Easter or Yom Kippur as state holidays, became the first state in the nation to recognize the two Islamic holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as unpaid state-recognized holidays when Democrat Governor Bob Ferguson signed the legislation into law this month. “Senate Bill 5106, sponsored by Sen. Yasmin Trudeau (D-Tacoma), adds both Eid holidays to a list of 20 other state holidays. Rep. The masked bandit who stole Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s pricey Gucci bag containing $3,000 in cash and other personal items has been arrested, sources told The Post Saturday.
Noem, 53, was on an Easter outing with her family at The Capital Burger in Washington, DC, when the hooded thief stole the luxury shoulder bag, which also contained her driver’s license, passport, DHS badge and apartment keys on April 20.
The suspect’s identity was not immediately available. The perp is expected to appear in court early next week, sources said.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun insisted on Friday that “fentanyl is the U.S.’s problem, not China’s.”
“The U.S. and the U.S. alone has the responsibility to solve it,” Guo said at a press briefing.
