The Baltimore city council has proposed a bill that would put menstrual products in all men’s public restrooms.
Baltimore Councilman Paris Gray sponsored the bill and introduced it at the city council’s bi-monthly meeting, saying it reflects the city’s desire for menstrual equity. “Access to menstrual products should be as fundamental as access to soap or toilet paper,” Gray said. “It is an essential part of personal hygiene, and yet, for far too many people, these products remain out of reach. Menstrual products are not a luxury. They are a necessity,

Democratic strategist James Carville said Thursday on NewsNation’s “Cuomo” that the SAVE Act, a bill requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, was “totally unnecessary.”
Carville said, “Well, let’s start with a massively unnecessary idea. There has been study after study, and I mean a lot of studies and good studies, that say that the amount of fraud in American elections is almost undetectable. We’ve looked for that, failed. So you ask yourself, if somebody — if an elderly person, doesn’t have a driver’s license or a married person takes a husband’s name, which my wife chose not to, but other people do, that’s people’s own

Egg prices have not fallen by “one cent” since President Donald Trump took office, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg gushed Wednesday.
She’s wrong. Egg prices have fallen 44 percent since the start of 2025 after prices had soared to record levels under former President Joe Biden’s administration, according to Trade Economics.
Despite the significant fall in egg prices, Goldberg claimed she has not seen these prices fall in any way, shape or form. (X) “[Trump] did promise to lower the price of groceries, I have not seen an egg fall one cent since this man got in,” Goldberg said, prompting co-host Sunny Hostin to falsely say they are going up.

On Thursday, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton faced blowback for claiming a GOP bill “threatens” voting access for millions of married women.
Clinton, who is also a former United States senator and first lady, reacted to the House passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which aims to require individuals to show proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in elections for federal office.
“Update: The House just passed the Republican voter suppression measure that threatens voting access for millions of Americans, including 69 million women whose married names don’t match their birth certificates,” Clinton said. “Make sure your senators know you expect them to stand against it.”

Pituffik Space Base commander Space Force Col. Susannah (Susan) Meyers was relieved of command Thursday after a report by Military.com that she had sent a base-wide email to personnel at the Greenland base after a recent visit by Vice President J.D. Vance distancing herself from President Trump’s national security policy on Greenland. Meyers had assumed command last July of the 821st Space Base Group at Pituffik.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell posted the announcement by Space Force of Meyers being relieved of command within hours of the report by Military.com.
Parnell: “Actions to undermine the chain of command or to subvert President Trump’s agenda will not be tolerated at the Department of Defense.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) issued a warning to all workers in the United States, proclaiming during a town hall that the jobs currently filled by employees around the country are not going to be there in the next decade.
“I want everybody to think about this. Most people — we have millions of federal employees. Most people are not federal employees. And I think many people are saying, ‘Wow, that’s outrageous. I really feel for these federal employees thrown out on the street,’” Sanders said during the Wednesday night town hall moderated by CNN host Anderson Cooper.
“But I want you to think about this. If Musk

China announced countermeasures by raising tariffs on U.S. goods from 84% to 125% starting Saturday.
The U.S. and China have escalated a new trade war by raising tariffs even as U.S. President Donald Trump hit a pause on tariffs for other countries. China notably had said it would fight the American tariffs with its own countermeasures, calling Trump’s actions “economic bullying,” which led Trump to retaliate by continuously hiking up tariffs this week.
Trump’s universal tariffs on China total 145%. When Trump announced Wednesday that China faced 125% tariffs, he did not include a 20% tariff on China tied to its role in fentanyl production.

The United States Postal Service said on Wednesday it wants to raise the price of first-class mail stamps to 78 cents from 73 cents effective July 13.
The proposal, which must be approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission, would raise overall mailing services product prices bUSPS in January opted not to hike prices for the first time since 2022 after a series of price hikes in recent years. Stamp prices are up 46% since early 2019 when they were 50 cents.
In March, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, who led efforts to restructure the money-losing U.S. Postal Service for nearly five years, resigned effective immediately.
DeJoy had pushed for aggressive price hikes in part

Former Meet the Press host Chuck Todd appeared on the Piers Morgan show this week and admitted something that was obvious to millions of Americans over the last few years.
Todd suggested that people in media avoided pointing out signs of Joe Biden’s decline because they were afraid of being perceived as doing something that helps Trump. Everyone knew this, but it’s nice of Todd to admit it.
Most people in media are on the left, and as a result, they are terrified of angering their viewers on the left. So they will even deny reality if it means keeping their fellow tribe members happy.

Rep. Emilia Sykes, a vulnerable Ohio Democrat, is seeking a fundraising boost from Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas), the left-wing firebrand whose insults directed at Republicans consistently stir controversy.
Sykes and Crockett formed a joint fundraising committee, the Crockett Sykes Victory Fund, on April 2, roughly two weeks after Crockett called Texas’s wheelchair-bound Greg Abbott (R.) "Governor Hot Wheels," a Federal Election Commission filing shows. The arrangement will allow Democrats to piggyback off each other’s shared fundraising efforts, potentially collecting larger checks as a result.
Sykes's decision to pair with an increasingly controversial, left-wing figure may help bring in cash, but it could also scare off the moderate voters

We all are aware of how badly Joe Biden did in his disastrous debate in June 2024.
His people tried to save him by arranging an interview shortly thereafter with ABC's George Stephanopoulos.
But it didn't go well for Biden, as he continued to show he was completely out of it during the interview. Not only did it do nothing to calm the nerves of jittery Democrats, but Biden made bizarre comments about how he would win because he got bigger crowds than Donald Trump (he didn't), and that he was distracted by Trump shouting at him

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy gave a warning to wallet-wary Americans in the wake of President Trump’s tariff agenda — saying the everything site many have come to rely on may have to up prices on common items.
Jassy issued an equivocating warning to Amazon customers that the world’s most popular online retailer is facing challenges from the Trump administration’s tariff push, stating in an interview with CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin on “Squawk Box” on Thursday that the levies could create “macro issues” that hit the average Joe square in the budget.
“I’m guessing that sellers will pass that cost on,” Jassy said
