Pituffik Space Base commander Space Force Col. Susannah (Susan) Meyers was relieved of command Thursday after a report by Military.com that she had sent a base-wide email to personnel at the Greenland base after a recent visit by Vice President J.D. Vance distancing herself from President Trump’s national security policy on Greenland. Meyers had assumed command last July of the 821st Space Base Group at Pituffik. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell posted the announcement by Space Force of Meyers being relieved of command within hours of the report by Military.com. Parnell: “Actions to undermine the chain of command or to subvert President Trump’s agenda will not be tolerated at the Department of Defense.”

Mahmoud Khalil can be deported over his involvement in anti-Israel demonstrations at Columbia University, an immigration judge ruled Friday in the closely watched case.
The ruling in Louisiana federal court came in the government’s bid to boot the Syrian-born permanent resident out of the US over his anti-Israel activism at Columbia.
But Khalil won’t be deported immediately — his lawyers will get the chance to fight the proceedings before a final determination is made.
Khalil, 30, was arrested on March 8 by ICE agents inside the building of his university-funded Manhattan apartment where he lived with his pregnant wife, an American citizen.
Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds announced Friday that she would not seek another term in office, saying she would be leaving politics to prioritize her family.
Reynolds has led Iowa since 2017, after then-Governor Terry Branstad was appointed by President Donald Trump as ambassador to China. During her tenure, Republicans passed the largest income tax cut in state history, election integrity measures, and legislation on abortion and transgenderism as they controlled both the state House and Senate.
“Serving as your governor has been the greatest honor of my life, an opportunity that not so long ago I never could have imagined,” Reynolds said
