California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a list of suggestions Nov. 26 for shoppers to avoid scams during the holiday season and requested consumers file reports about department stores that lack gender-neutral children’s sections.
State law, established by the passage of Assembly Bill 1084 in 2021, which took effect at the beginning of 2024, requires department stores with at least 500 employees across California locations to offer children’s sections that do not separate items based on gender.
“By requiring large retailers to maintain a gender-neutral section, AB 1084 makes it more difficult for these retailers to engage in gender-based pricing discrimination and reduces the imposition of gender stereotypes on children,”

Oh how dumb can you get. I used to buy children's clothes for my son in blue, green, yellow, tan ect. Now he's 46 and sometimes wears pink shirts - they look good one him. He isn't down with the gender crap at all.

By all means, then publish the list of noncompliant stores so the rest of us will know where to spend our money.

I would like to see a massive lawsuit by unified retailers against that edict. Protests had worked before. Ask the original 13 colonies.

So the stores don't have signs which point to the, 'girls/boys' area - so what? I think most of we normal people can recognize which clothes belong with which child.

I don't live there, but I'll help them out by reporting stores without gender neutral kid's sections: Harbor Freight, Victoria Secret, O'Reilly Auto Parts, McCoy's Lumber, Sonoma, Apple stores, etc.

Gov. Brylcreem and the remainder of "experts" running the California government should be described as immoral, invincibly ignorant, and wrongheaded. Que-mala, whose IQ couldn't possibly exceed 75, appears to be a betting favorite to replace Hair Guy in Sacramento. Why? If that is true, hope (not the Obama kind) is on life support.

Snitch on your neighbor: that's what Stasi encouraged in East Germany, that's what the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution does in Cuba. California is becoming a totalitarian, humorless, Stalinist police state.... no surprise there.

If I lived there, I'd be tempted to anonymously file thousands of claims to overwhelm the system. They can't crackdown on stores if they can't find the legitimate - and I use that word very loosely - complaints. I'd try to get other sane people to do the same.
