New York — Top pollster J. Ann Selzer will retire from the Des Moines Register’s famed Iowa Poll and the survey will “evolve” after it failed to accurately capture former President Donald Trump’s strong support in the 2024 election, resulting in a 16-point miss. The announcement from Selzer comes after the Register in its final poll before Election Day delivered a bombshell result showing Vice President Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump 47-44% among likely voters in the state, raising speculation that Harris could mount a stunning upset. While other surveys had found Trump comfortably ahead of Harris in the state

Likely has a large bank account courtesy of the Schiff poll she pushed at the last minute to create a buzz and to fool people into thinking and believing Kamala would win. It likely increased voter turnout for Democrats in some places so she did what whomever commissioned that poll was looking for. But it created mental health issues for millions of people at the same time.

Selzer was the "gold standard" of polling. What kind of gold? Fools gold? She didn't explain how her poll was so far off the yellow brick road. Did she fudge the numbers? Was she paid to fudge the numbers? What went wrong? Polling is a statistical sampling at a point in time. Who did she poll? How many were polled? What was her sampling? Which geographical areas in Iowa? Or was the poll just made up? Questions, questions, questions. None of which were answered. Just folly, perhaps.

Most of the polls have been WRONG for the last 3 elections, elections with President Trump. Their connection to the propaganda media and their hatred of Trump biased them. It was impossible for them to do an honest assessment of the situation. Whether they might be able to do better in the future, with Trump not on the ballet, is unclear but why give them the chance when they have proved they are not trustworthy? Fool me three times? Let's not be stupid.

President Biden has given the OK to lift restrictions that will allow Ukraine to use U.S.-provided long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory, a U.S. official confirmed to CBS News on Sunday. The move is a significant change to U.S. policy in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. The easing of restrictions would allow Kyiv to use the Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMS, to hit targets inside Russia. The move also comes as some 10,000 North Korean troops were sent to Kursk near Ukraine's northern border to help Russian forces retake territory. The White House National Security Council declined to

OAKLAND, Calif. - A recent poll showed that Vice President Kamala Harris could have a strong advantage if she chooses to run for governor of California in 2026 when Gov. Gavin Newsom’s term ends. The survey, carried out by the University of California, Berkeley's Institute of Governmental Studies and co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, indicated that nearly half of the 4,838 participants might support Harris in a potential gubernatorial bid. The Times reported that Harris's support would mostly come from Democratic voters, with 72% indicating they would be very or somewhat likely to back her for governor. In contrast

Hegseth, an Army National Guard veteran, has the words “Deus Vult” tattooed on his bicep, which has been associated with white supremacist groups. "Deus Vult" is a Latin phrase meaning "God Wills It," and was a rallying cry for Christian crusaders in the Middle Ages.
