The IDF says it has detected preparations by Hezbollah to launch rockets and missiles and is preemptively striking in Lebanon “to remove the threat.”
Fighter jets are striking Hezbollah targets that “posed an imminent threat to the citizens of the State of Israel,” the army says, adding that “life-saving instructions” will be sent out in some parts of the country.
Alarms are meanwhile sounding in several northern communities.
In a video statement, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says: “A short while ago, the IDF identified the Hezbollah terrorist organization preparing to fire missiles and rockets toward Israeli territory.”

The leftist hate mob was swarming after independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald J. Trump, and his actress wife Cheryl Hines soon found herself in the crosshairs.
On Friday, RFK Jr. followed through on reports that he would be joining the former president in his battle against the rabidly authoritarian Democratic Party, and much to the dismay of the Kamala Harris surrogates on social media, Hines stood by her man.

Like a pack of attack dogs, Hollywood celebrities turned their attention to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., on Friday after he endorsed former President Donald Trump and blasted the Democratic party for having rigged its own primaries and undemocratically installed Kamala Harris as its nominee.
Stars including George Takei, Jeffrey Wright, Chris Meloni, Sandra Bernhard, and The West Wing‘s Bradley Whitford unleashed a torrent of vicious verbal attacks on Kennedy for having dared to cross the aisle to form an alliance with Trump.
“What a sad, broken, human being @RobertKennedyJr is,” Whitford declared.
“A broken deeply disturbed person,” Bernhard wrote.
“RFK Jr. and Donald Trump. A sorrier pair could hardly be imagined,” Takei concluded.

Democrat vice-presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) was caught inflating his background and making it seem like Harvard University was behind a teaching program in China in which he participated, according to a recent report.
A report from the Washington Free Beacon found that Walz had lied about being “named the Outstanding Young Nebraskan by the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce,” and seemingly implying that Harvard University was behind a teaching program, and had picked Walz for “an opportunity” to teach in China through a university program. The program, WorldTeach, was founded in 1986 by several graduates from Harvard University, according to the organization’s LinkedIn page.

Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary has warned Democrats that they may have made a 'huge mistake' in bestowing the nomination on Vice President Kamala Harris.
Speaking with Fox News' Rachel Campos-Duffy on Saturday, O'Leary argued that the Democrats might be getting ahead of themselves.

Democrat Party pollsters are warning that they could be in trouble, as their polling has been less reliable than usual in recent elections since former President Donald Trump’s appeal is difficult to measure via surveys.

The Military Sealift Command’s “force generation reset,” informally known as “the great reset,” would see 17 Navy ships stripped of crews and moved to long-term maintenance holding.
Although the apparent plan has not been given the green light by Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Lisa Franchetti, some of the targeted ships have been tracked returning to America.
The plan lists 17 support ships with various functions and roles, the U.S. Naval Institute reported.
These constitute nearly six percent of the total active surface fleet battle force, which currently consists of 296 commissioned ships,

Boy, Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.) seems to "misrepresent" a lot of his backstory.
First, we had what looks like a textbook case of stolen valor when he ditched the Minnesota National Guard right before they deployed to Iraq and claimed to have fought in combat, as well as his rank, much to the disdain of even his former chaplain.
Then he spun a yarn about having his kids via IVF because Republicans supposedly want to ban it even though Mrs. Walz never underwent IVF treatments (and she called out her own husband on this) and puffed up his DUI arrest from 1995 to make himself look cool or something.

(Reuters) - A U.S. government weather forecaster expects an about 60% chance of the La Nina weather pattern characterized by unusually cold temperatures in the Pacific Ocean emerging in the second half of 2024.
There is an 85% chance that a transition from El Niño to ENSO-neutral is likely to occur by April-June, National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center (CPC) said in a monthly forecast on Thursday.

(snip) The ACLU said it is also monitoring the situation and considering all options to respond to the new change, including a lawsuit to block the change.

No one is buying what Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party are selling these days.
Earlier this week, on the opening night of the demonic confab in Chicago that Democrats call their national convention, the outgoing commander-in-chief explicitly denied that he was "angry at all those people" who said he should "step down" following his catastrophic faceplant at the June presidential debate. There is not a single soul who actually believes this. For weeks following the debate, while the corporate media and Democrat elites circled like piranhas, the White House defiantly stood its ground and insisted it wasn't going anywhere.

In a groundbreaking announcement that has sent waves through the political and medical communities, President Donald Trump has unveiled his plan to form an expert panel in partnership with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to address the alarming rise of chronic diseases in children.
This announcement, made at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, signals a direct challenge to Big Pharma, whose unchecked influence has long been suspected of contributing to the health crisis facing the nation’s youth.
For years, Big Pharma has been raking in billions while

When America retreated from Kabul amid chaos in 2021, Lieutenant General Sami Sadat, the last commander of the army of the Afghan Republic, was still fighting to the end.
Sadat’s firsthand account of the disastrous withdrawal and the failures of the Biden-Harris administration are recounted in his new book, The Last Commander. (Photo) Sadat has shared an excerpt from the book with The Gateway Pundit.

Despite their political differences, former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. agree that they want to work together to investigate the corruption of regulatory agencies and the increase in chronic diseases plaguing the United States.
RFK Jr. was Trump’s surprise guest at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night after the Democrat-turned-independent endorsed Trump on the same day while making remarks in Phoenix. Kennedy ultimately announced the suspension — not the end — of his presidential campaign, urging blue state residents to vote for him while throwing his support behind former President Donald Trump in battleground states.

Former President Donald Trump pledged at his rally in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night to create a commission on presidential assassination attempts if he is elected in November.
Trump said the commission would be in tribute to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who joined him on stage at the Turning Point Action rally at the Desert Diamond Arena as the Republican presidential candidate’s special guest.“After I was — can’t even believe I have to say this — nearly assassinated in Pennsylvania last month, Bobby called me to express his best wishes. He knows firsthand the risks incurred by leaders who stand up to

Bill Maher is back, and you’d think he’d be ecstatic about the 2024 race right now. He is probably pleased that Biden is no longer the Democratic nominee, but he invited CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Real Time, where he grilled her about the network’s coverage. You all know Maher is an anti-Trump liberal, but the comedian is also not insane. There are times when he must remind his audience that he thinks Trump is a terrible human being because, for a large chunk of this season, he’s attacked Democrats and liberals more for their nonsense from transgender sex change surgeries, mask-wearing, and child predators

A Kansas judge has dismissed federal machine gun possession charges, including for having a "Glock switch," citing the Second Amendment and recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings in gun rights cases.
U.S. District Judge John Broomes on Wednesday dismissed two counts of unlawful possession of a machine gun against Tamori Morgan. Morgan had been indicted by a grand jury in April 2023 in U.S. District Court in Wichita.
Broomes wrote that the prosecution "fails to meet its burden to demonstrate that possession of the types of weapons at issue in this case are lawfully prohibited under the Second Amendment."

Three prominent Republicans praised the promise of victory Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement of Donald Trump gives for the 2024 election and for free speech in exclusive comments to PJ Media. (Snip) Kennedy’s call for unity between his supporters and Republicans is especially important after the vitriol and death cult insanity of the just-ended Democratic National Convention, where the two major focuses seemed to be hating Trump and killing unborn babies.

The Democrats assume that constantly casting Trump as Hitler is all that’s needed to win the election. The central argument at their convention, spoken and implied ad nauseam, was: Anyone with a pulse is going to beat Evil Orange Man. So outlining policies and engaging with the press are therefore unnecessary risks to avoid. Don’t spoil the makeover of the empty pantsuit. Defeating the evil dictator is the only thing everyone needs to concentrate on.
But then along comes RFK to upset the Potemkin apple cart.

Donald Trump is riding high after Democrats’ failure to utilize the Democratic National Convention (DNC) to springboard Vice President Kamala Harris’s struggling campaign.
The emboldened Republican nominee even stole President Barack Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris’s trademark one-word campaign slogans in laying out his American agenda and calling to arms the crowd to vote for him in November.
“Everyone will prosper, every family will thrive, and every day will be filled with joy and opportunity and hope, but for that to happen, we must defeat Kamala Harris,” Trump told the crowd near the end of his remarks.
“We must stop her country-destroying liberal agenda once and for all,”

Another attack on a music festival, this time in Germany. No one is using the T-word yet but some reports say this was a random attack using a knife. The attacker is still at large. This is a Google translated version of the story from Bild, the German news site which broke the news. They are reporting three people have died. Also a possible description which has not been confirmed by authorities:
At around 9.45 p.m. a man in Solingen randomly stabbed passers-by with a knife. The perpetrator, according to witnesses an Arab-looking man, is on the run.
According to initial information, there are three dead and four seriously injured. Dozens

Earlier, Ed wrote about the way in which the media seems to have gone all in on what could be described as the Empty Suit Campaign. Harris has said almost nothing specific about her plans and has given no interviews and yet most of the media seems thrilled to report this vacuous campaign as a triumph of good vibes. She's the change candidate. The joy candidate. And that's enough for most of them.
Today I noticed a couple of mildly critical pieces over at the NY Times. Here's one titled "Harris Faces Challenge of Translating Convention Joy to Fall Momentum."

Another ‘coincidental’ Secret Service failure that led to the attempted assassination of President Trump.
The Secret Service never picked up radios that were set aside for them by local law Butler County law enforcement at Trump’s rally on July 13.
Would-be assassin Thomas Crooks was able to climb on top of a roof next to Trump’s Butler, Pennsylvania rally and put Trump in his scope.
A bullet grazed President Trump’s ear during his Pennsylvania rally. One rallygoer was fatally struck in the head. Two other rally attendees were wounded, one critically.
Bodycam footage shows a Butler Township police officer flipping out after his warnings about Crooks on the roof over the radio went ignored.

Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff is a “progressive sex symbol,” according to The Washington Post.
The Post has long had a reputation as one of the Democratic Party’s most influential media propagandists. Yet this latest headline on its website takes that impression to the next level.
According to opinion writer Catherine Rampell, Emhoff has earned the title of “progressive sexy symbol” because he is “secure enough with his own masculinity to sometimes prioritize his wife’s ambitions over his own.”

Robert Kennedy Jr. suspended his campaign on Friday and endorsed President Trump – and the Democrat-media complex is melting down.
Kennedy, in a statement, outlined the three primary causes that drove him to this decision: free speech, the war in Ukraine, and what he described as “the war on our children.”
RFK will stay on the ballot in states where his presence will hurt Kamala, and he will remove himself from ballots in states where his presence hurts Trump.
“In about 10 battleground states, where my presence would be a spoiler, I’m going to remove my name. And I’ve already started that process and urge voters not to vote for me,”
