One of my great peeves of the Trump era is the Greenland effect.
I belong to a small group of people who think America should peacefully acquire Greenland. It’s an old idea. The State Department pitched buying the vast arctic island in 1946, but the Danes didn’t want to sell their colony, alas. But given its strategic and economic value, it’s worth revisiting.

Yes, you read that right. According to the website Michigan News Source, the group Republican Voters Against Trump is rolling out a campaign featuring disgruntled GOP voters who are standing with Kamala Harris this election. "Fiddlesticks," say you? Watch the ad below, says I. [Video] In addition to the ad above, Michigan News Source said the PAC had started a $500,000 billboard campaign in several swing states. The campaign is aimed at getting Trump voters to switch sides (and presumably sell their souls) and join Team Harris. The campaign includes 76 billboards showing alleged former Trump voters from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin with the message:

On a recent call, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg said that men have more freedom in a country where abortion on demand is the norm because they do not have to take responsibility for their actions. Buttigieg made the remarks during a Zoom meeting for “White Dudes for Harris,” a group of voters working to make Vice President Kamala Harris the next president of the United States. Harris received President Joe Biden’s endorsement after he announced that he would not seek reelection.

Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier thinks the White House owes his network an apology.
But he won't be holding his breath.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the anchor and executive editor of Special Report with Bret Baier fired back at Democratic critics, who have sought to undermine his reporting on President Joe Biden's record of disturbing public incidents.
And, while Baier is not yet ready to declare a 'White House cover-up' of the president's true condition, he's not ruling it out and he's certainly not done investigating who knew what and when.
'There was clearly an effort to prevent some of what they knew

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) said Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World” that Vice President Kamala Harris was not a serious person.
Kennedy said, “Many Americans think that the vice president is a little bit of a ding-dong.” Host Neil Cavuto said, “You raised a number of very clear issues, substantive issues that could be debated. I guess all I’m saying, for all the problems and calling her a loon and all that, and I get it. I know it’s political season, and that happens on both sides.”Kennedy said, “You’re putting words in my mouth. I said, she’s a member, she’s a member of the loon wing of the Democratic Party.

Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe testified before the Senate Judiciary and Senate Homeland Security Committees Tuesday in a joint hearing on the assassination attempt of President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
During the hearing Acting Director Rowe said it was “unfair persecution” to relieve officials who were responsible for the breakdown of security at the Trump Butler rally where President Trump was shot and another man was murdered.
Senator Hawley: Is that the person who is in charge of the interoperability of radio frequencies between local law enforcement and secret service? Has that person been relieved of duty?

Kamala Harris on Tuesday evening held a campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia where she vowed to confiscate firearms and absurdly claimed she was working to secure the border.
Only it wasn’t just a campaign rally for Harris.
After stealing Joe Biden’s delegates, the media is desperate to sell ‘Kamalamania.’
Kamala Harris has never won a primary. She didn’t win the primary in 2020 and she stole Biden’s delegates in the 2024 election cycle.
The Atlanta crowd didn’t show up to see Kamala Harris. They turned out to see rappers twerk.

It's one of the wealthiest states in America, with residents of its fanciest zip code luxuriating in $3 million red-brick apartments.
But the writing is on the wall for Massachusetts, says an alarming new study.
The 50,000 non-legal migrants who've entered the state since Joe Biden became president are putting a costly strain on schools, healthcare, and other services. Jessica Vaughan, author of the report for the Center for Immigration Studies, says the state is destined for bankruptcy.
That's because migrants will drain state coffers of a staggering $1.8 trillion over the next two years.

We're now getting some new details about how Democrats pressured Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race. We previously reported that there was talk about invoking the 25th Amendment, but new details, assuming they are true, add another layer of intrigue.
According to veteran Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh, who has written for The New Yorker and The New York Times, there is no way you can describe what happened to Biden as anything but a coup.
Here's how it went down, following Biden's shortened visit to Las Vegas on July 17, according to Hersh:

Three war vessels from Russia’s Baltic Fleet arrived in Havana, Cuba, this weekend for a four-day “work visit” to the communist nation that will reportedly conclude on Tuesday.
The Russian state news agency Tass reported on Saturday that the three Russian Baltic Fleet warships — identified as the training ship Smólny, the patrol ship Neustrahimiy, and the offshore oil tanker Yelnya — will conduct an “extensive program” during its four-day port call that includes courtesy visits to officials from the Cuban Navy and other authorities of the communist Castro regime.

My colleague Mary Chastain shared her anger at the opening ceremony antics for the 2024 Paris Olympics, which appeared to mock the Last Supper (snip) Now the Olympics’ organizers are apologizing. (snip) However, the apologies and explanations are replete with moral scoldings, blaming us normals for our reactions. (snip) "it was not the Last Supper. It was a depiction of an ancient Greek Bacchanal." (snip) This sort of educated b---s--- requires you to ignore the simple fact that the Olympic presentation was literally called "La Cène Sur Un Scène Sur La Seine," i.e. "The Last Supper on a Stage on the Seine."
They think you're easily gaslighted.

Just when I thought the racialized madness of 2020 was floating away — that it had being destroyed by reason and sanity.
It’s back. And on Zoom no less, the medium of choice for the crazy Covid era.
With a woman of color on the Democratic ticket, progressives have fallen back on their worst instincts: performative allyship and race essentialism. Politics by segregation.
Last week, Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts organized a massive Zoom meeting — “White Women: Answer the Call” — for Kamala Harris.
On the call, which drew over 200,000 participants, reportedly raised $2 million and has been dubbed the largest Zoom in history, Watts declared (with great humility, of course):
