It's one of the wealthiest states in America, with residents of its fanciest zip code luxuriating in $3 million red-brick apartments.
But the writing is on the wall for Massachusetts, says an alarming new study.
The 50,000 non-legal migrants who've entered the state since Joe Biden became president are putting a costly strain on schools, healthcare, and other services. Jessica Vaughan, author of the report for the Center for Immigration Studies, says the state is destined for bankruptcy.
That's because migrants will drain state coffers of a staggering $1.8 trillion over the next two years.

That's 36 million each for 2 years. That makes no sense in any universe. That has to be some other number not 1.8 trillion.

The strain on schools is a big plus for Democrats. Without this the numbers of due paying teachers would be slowly dropping as would the bribes from the teacher unions. I'm sure school enrollment numbers are a major reason Democrats are so pro-illegal.

I dug deeper into the article and did more math.
5000 is how many new ones since 2021 which is irrelevant.
They have 355,000. According to this study they'll spend just over 2.5 million per illegal each year.
That still makes no sense.

It's not just the schools being overwhelmed but the hospitals also. There are already hospitals near the border going broke. Not just for illness or trauma but if a pregnant illegal can get to a hospital on this side of the border, the baby becomes a US Citizen.

#6. New schools, new prisons, healthcare, housing, new hospitals, food, etc. ad infinitum. More public transportation, They are coming here not knowing our language, cannot read or write even in their own language. Telling them to get a job so to speak, will require a substantial outlay in training for them. Moire welfare, they won't pay for nothing, because they have nothing. Let's assume they want to be good citizens, they have only what they carried across the border, well besides a large family, and an even larger extended family. The cash comes first, everything requires cash up front, for years, under those circumstances. They must be placed on welfare, talk about a cash outlay, they are getting everything paid for plus $2,2oo walking around money every moth. Plus, there has to be a fudge factor in that number because they all know there are many more then they and telling us. Will it eventually pay off? How long will they be on welfare? forever for some, it'll be a whole other welfare culture for generations. Of course, the feds will raise or print or borrow a ton to help out. That is why it takes 10 years for c citizenship, with the restrictions of no welfare. Bankrupt the state, they bankrupt the country. Vote for the guy who wants to deport them all, and then put an immigration system in place that works. I'm not a bigot. I have lived in countries where they are from and it is very difficult to imagine it. It is very sad. When we talk about poor it means only one car, only one 72" screen, etc. When they talk about it, it means missing the only meal of the day (which is a root) and maybe for a day or two days after. The mother will pretend to cook something so the kids don't cry. The politicians that had done this need prison time. Lot's of prison time.

Numbers in the millions per year per head seem a bit high, even for taxachusettes. Hundreds of thousands per each are just a decimal point lower, and do not strain creduality for direct gov costs. Factor in violent crime, with real losses to citizens, millions might be right. Still, a hit of 0.18 trillion (180 billion) is a huge hit on a small state GDP of just 700 billion. Perhaps John Kerry will need to bring his boat back from RI and pay taxes.

As a Texan, I appreciate the fact that Massachusetts is welcoming these newcomers. We have a few thousand more busloads ready to go.

You reap what you sow. Maybe some of those 3 million redbrick apartments could be used to house the migrants.

#3, just don't send them to the Vinyard, or any other upper class town. Working class towns and cities are getting swamped, and even an old prison closed because renovations had been considered undoable, now about to be a newly refurbished "home" for illegals, many of whom had been camping out at Logan Airport.
Also, MA had a pretty massive "rainy day fund" in the millions, which they've blown through. Where these people are housed, they get meals delivered... and they get EBT cards in the thousands, and they call Ubers to get different foods delivered!
All the schools are being overwhelmed, and the attendant costs to taxpayers include translators. How much can small towns handle?
It's all incredibly stupid. I just heard that a couple of hospitals are closing (not the Boston biggies). My suspicion is that these smaller hospitals can't handle the influx of things such as pregnancy services, for the many, many new babies, but also for things as ridiculous as a small cut. Ambulances and police need to accompany (as usual). It is all extremely costly.
They can get a driver's license... but most can't read English or even understand the traffic signs and rules. Every day we in NH hear the police reports of people driving up here and getting it or causing accidents.
But MA voted for themselves the oh-so-righteous status of sanctuary state. The trouble is, the deleterious effects of illegal immigration overburden all of us.
And yet, and yet, MA residents don't seem able to resist and fight back. They MUST vote out the current administration of Maura Healy.

Keep the buses rolling until the blue states scream "Enough!"
A vote for Kamala is a vote for more illegals.
