South Africa's economic struggles may have pushed it to explore alternative partnerships. South Africa’s support for the Palestinian cause is the culmination of a confused and increasingly troubling diplomatic trend for a country with whom the U.S. now questions its bilateral cooperation, critics have claimed. "The South African government has fallen hook, line and sinker for Russian propaganda," Peter Doran, an adjunct senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) and former president of the Center for European Policy Analysis, told Fox News Digital. "Russia has proposed to all African countries that the United States and Western powers are colonialists, whose interests are not aligned with theirs,

Comments:

Meanwhile, the incursion by thousands of Africans into America continues unabated in concert with the Biden regime. Imagine what would happen if 30,000 Americans illegally snuck over some other country's border. Would that country bow down and give the invaders everything that was demanded? Biden is a traitor at best.

Violent thug Communists all stick together. 20 years ago, South Africa was a wonderful country, I spent two weeks there and visited with a family who has roots going back 300 years for a few days. Wonderful people. All that is being destroyed by the black, tribal violence with the Communists being the most powerful tribe, and whites just being one more tribe. Outsiders cannot tell the difference between two black tribes, but they know, and have 1,500 year or more of hate against different tribes - and they settle their grudges.

I was in South Africa 12 years ago. It was starting to fall apart even then. The African National Congress is openly Communist. South Africa will shortly collapse, just like every other country in central and southern Africa. And they did it to themselves.

Why would the US (The Government elites, the Deep State, The Powers that be, that is) be concerned over what is going on in South Africa? They Instigated so much of it. They just loved the Communist, racist Mandelas. They spent decades undermining 'white rule' and the productivity and quality of life for the society in general that it brings. They spent decades fomenting hate among the various tribes, not just for whites, but for each other. And they are doing the same thing here at home.

Tensions between Hamas and Jordan have soared in recent days, with officials in Amman suggesting that the Jordanian citizenship of the terror group's leaders be revoked. Raising Amman's ire was an incendiary speech by Hamas leader Khaled Masha'al. Speaking in Amman on March 27, Masha'al called on Jordanians to "mix Arab blood with Palestinian blood." The speech sent shockwaves through the kingdom, sparking demonstrations and clashes, particularly in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy in Amman's Al Tla'a Al Sharqi neighbourhood.

Liad Gross visits "Hostage Square" every week to remember. During Purim, a usually joyful Jewish holiday that celebrates survival and continuity, she took the unusual approach of dressing up covered in makeup to look bruised and beaten, as if a victim of assault. Six months from Hamas' attack, the deadliest single assault against Jews since the Holocaust, there isn’t much celebrating going on in Israel. On Oct. 7, about 1,200 people were killed and 240 more were dragged to the Gaza Strip as hostages. More than 100 have been released and about 100 are believed to be still alive in captivity.

How AI is being used to prevent illegal fishing 3 replies

Late last year, the Spanish government fined 25 Spanish-flagged fishing ships that had been operating near Argentina's territorial waters. The financial penalties were imposed because the vessels had illegally turned off the GPS-based automatic identification systems (AIS), which were transmitting their positions. This is often a sign that a vessel is engaged in illegal fishing. "It's estimated that illegal or unregulated fishing is as much as 20% of what's caught," says David Kroodsma, head of the research team at Global Fishing Watch. Such illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing may catch as much as 26 million tonnes of fish every year, or one in every five fish.

Israeli intelligence sources reveal use of ‘Lavender’ system in Gaza war and claim permission given to kill civilians in pursuit of low-ranking militants. The Israeli military’s bombing campaign in Gaza used a previously undisclosed AI-powered database that at one stage identified 37,000 potential targets based on their apparent links to Hamas, according to intelligence sources involved in the war. In addition to talking about their use of the AI system, called Lavender, the intelligence sources claim that Israeli military officials permitted large numbers of Palestinian civilians to be killed, particularly during the early weeks and months of the conflict.

The city of Berkeley, California, has agreed to repeal the nation’s first-ever gas ban, raising questions about the fate of similar restrictions on fossil fuels across the West. Berkeley unveiled the decision about its 2019 restrictions on gas hookups for new buildings as part of a legal agreement Friday ending a lawsuit brought by the California Restaurant Association. Berkeley said it will stop enforcing the policy while it goes through the legal process of repealing the ban. The California Restaurant Association touted the settlement, saying it should set a precedent for dozens of cities and counties in California to rescind their own gas bans modeled after Berkeley’s.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. named the Bay Area lawyer, entrepreneur and philanthropist as his running mate. She brings some welcome cash to what will be a costly effort to gain ballot access. Nicole Shanahan is a wild card. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s vice presidential pick doesn’t have the kind of public persona typically associated with politicians. She’s not a frequent-flier on cable news, barely has a social media presence and is interested in some niche policy issues, like reproductive senescence, regenerative agriculture and gut biomes. But what Shanahan, 38, has is an abundance of wealth (which will come in handy as Kennedy mounts an expensive cross-country ballot access effort)

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by two dozen conservative state lawmakers that claimed ballot access initiatives by President Joe Biden and Gov. Josh Shapiro usurped the state Legislature’s authority to direct federal elections in the commonwealth. U.S. District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson’s one-page order on Tuesday grants motions by state and federal officials to dismiss the case. The order also denies a request by two dozen conservative lawmakers for a preliminary injunction to block the ballot access initiatives, including Shapiro’s executive order implementing automatic voter registration for driver’s license applicants. In a statement, Shapiro said automatic voter registration is safe, secure, efficient, and entirely within his administration’s authority.

The US and its allies have weighed striking Yemen’s Houthi militants after telling them to either halt their attacks on ships in the Red Sea or face unspecified action. Washington and a dozen nations this week warned the Iran-backed Houthis would “bear the responsibility of the consequences” if they persisted with their attacks in the crucial maritime trade artery. Several military and naval experts interviewed by Bloomberg have interpreted this as a threat of imminent strikes against the group, though such a move runs the risk of making matters worse, so more limited action is also a possibility.

Likewise, Beijing too has been trying to leverage its advancements in defense aerospace technology by securing military sales to developing and Global South countries and presenting itself as an alternative to costly Western weapons. One of the things that frustrated me about Trump’s (first?) term was his seeming complete indifference to #TheResistance that manifested before he even took office. Unelected bureaucrats working in the ridiculously invasive executive branch’s many agencies, publicly declared war on him, and he . . . well, he did nothing. Until the final year of his presidency when he seemed to finally take aim at the problem in his own branch of government–we can call it the deep state, the resistance, the entrenched bureaucrats who oversee far too much policy in America and who are, apparently, answerable to no one.
