Bianca Jagger just issued a thundering warning about Nicaragua’s human rights abuses: “Just like the Castro Regime did in Cuba during the 1960s,” she wrote in the U.K.’s Independent, Nicaragua has put “harsh restrictions on religious freedom, practices, and church processions. Catholic education has been forbidden.” She even compares the country’s current purge of the Catholic Church “to Joseph Stalin’s purge of religious institutions in the Soviet Union.” [snip] Why do so few Americans pay attention to the horrors of Marxist-leaning regimes?

The new President of El Salvador has virtually cleaned up his country by sending the army after MS-13. There are prisons there with nothing but MS-13 inside. Imagine what Trump could do to clean up our hot mess by following that example.

However much we might wish otherwise, Posse Comitatis laws largely prevent using our military for domestic law enforcement. It may be possible to use them to enforce our borders. But it will take imposition of penalties on Mexico who have freely allowed these illegals to traverse their country to truly slow the pace of the invasion. But threaten Mexico with taxing or blocking the 66+ Billion dollars their citizens send back home each year and watch how fast the tidal wave stops.

Is the author barking up the wrong tree? Saul Alinsky wormed his way into the Catholic church decades back and got the socialist mindset established. They've become another group where their politics overshadow their religion.

The wife of Bill Ackman, the hedge fund billionaire who accused Claudine Gay of being a plagiarist and led calls for her resignation as Harvard president, is now facing allegations of plagiarism herself. Neri Oxman, a prominent former professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has apologized after Business Insider identified multiple instances in which she lifted passages from other scholars’ work without proper attribution in her 2010 dissertation.

An online petition is calling for a boycott of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade due to its planned inclusion of LGBTQ+ performers. The petition was started by One Million Moms, a division of the "pro-traditional values" organization American Family Association (AFA). On October 7, 2023, the terrorist organization Hamas initiated a series of brutal attacks on the state of Israel that killed more than 1,400 Israelis and left more than 5,000 people wounded. On October 8, a group of Harvard University organizations issued a joint statement on Instagram blaming Israel for this assault, holding “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.” [snip] As the list below demonstrates, nearly all of these organizations are associated with the Arabic world or with Islam.

What is happening to liberal host Bill Maher? He seems to be increasingly pushing back against the narratives of his own political party. In recent weeks he has slammed liberals for defending Hamas and the rise of anti-semitism among you[ng] people. He lambasted elite colleges for their “indoctrination into a stew of bad ideas” and the suppression of free speech. On the morning of Saturday, October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas carried out a surprise attack on Israel on an unprecedented scale: firing thousands of rockets, infiltrating militants into Israeli territory, and taking an unknown number of hostages. As Maui Mayor Michael Victorino noted just last year, fire and police suspect someone is intentionally setting them. Just a couple weeks ago, Hawaiian police responded to two fires on Maui. No later than Sunday, and perhaps sooner, America’s director of National Intelligence must, by law, “declassify” and make public all “information relating to the origins of Covid-19”. It could be a huge moment, or a terrible anticlimax. By the time the deadline is reached, it will have been 1,265 days since news of a “mystery pneumonia” first emerged from Wuhan – and for much of that time a small group of US intelligence officials have anonymously been briefing that the virus came from a lab.

Joe Biden's administration has admitted transporting migrants on secret flights into the U.S. and lawyers for its immigration agencies claim revealing the locations could create national security 'vulnerabilities'. Customs and Border Protection has refused to disclose information about a program last year secretly arranging flights for thousands of undocumented immigrants from foreign airports directly to U.S. cities. It means that while record numbers of migrants were flowing over the southern border last year, the Biden White House was also directly transporting them into the country.
