Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will bring a new Israel aid bill to the floor without spending cuts or offsets.
The plan, announced in a Saturday letter to his colleagues, is a reversal from Johnson’s earlier position. Last year, in the early days of Johnson’s speakership, the House passed a $14.3 trillion bill to aid to Israel in its war against Hamas. That bill, which was paid for with an equal reduction in funding for the IRS, has not been brought up by the Senate.
Yet the Senate appears ready to consider a broader aid package this year with tens of million in aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan that includes

I will give you fair warning.
If you want to watch the Super Bowl and be surprised by the commercials, then stop reading here since I'm going to be revealing one. But I have to say that this one found by our sister site Twitchy is pretty funny and anything that has Patrick Stewart in it has to be good. It's already going viral with over 21 million views. So if you need a laugh, this is likely to get you there with some charming silliness. In addition to Stewart, it has a bunch of people and cartoon characters, including

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Inside Politics,” CNN Senior Political Commentator and former Obama Adviser David Axelrod stated that President Joe Biden has shifted positions on immigration because Democrats have moved on the issue because busing migrants to sanctuary cities “has been very effective” in getting Democrats to flip.
Host Dana Bash said, “[T]he change is that more and more Democrats are taking — voters — are taking a hard line. It looks as though the White House, the President is seeing that and kind of following their lead.”Axelrod responded, “Yes. Two points on this: Whatever you think about what Gov. Abbott (R) has done, it was diabolically clever, because

A Bay Area Elementary School has spent $250,000 on a 'Woke Kindergarten' program only to see its student's literacy and numeracy rates plunge.
The 'Woke Kindergarten' program states its mission as an 'abolitionist early learning ecosystem' that trains teachers to uproot white supremacy, disrupt racism and oppression which are barriers to learning.
After spending the federal money on the program Glassbrook Elementary in Hayward saw numeracy among its 474 students fall to a new low of just 4 percent and literacy just 12 percent.

In a sense, it is hilarious to watch. Completely un-self-aware, the liberals of ABC’s The View make it crystal clear that they view African-Americans as unable to think for themselves. They either support the Democrats, or they're "grifters." The Wall Street Journal editorial page used to call this "The Liberal Plantation." Woe betide any who have the nerve -- the nerve! -- to assert any independence from their overseers.
Tim Scott, the United States Senator from South Carolina folded his campaign for president and has endorsed -gasp! - Donald Trump. And the other day, along with some other former presidential candidates, Scott stood on a platform with Trump

CNN anchor Erica Hill was left in stunned silence Friday after being told by network law enforcement analyst John Miller why illegal aliens commit crimes in New York but go to Florida to live and spend their money.
During the segment on CNN This Morning, Hill, along with cohost Phil Mattingly, was reporting on the attack by migrants on several police officers in New York City in the wake of news that four of the suspects in the attack had fled on a bus to California and may be planning to flee to Mexico.
The four were reportedly able to flee because Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) had released the suspects

It's a chance to speak to tens of millions of viewers, all while being tossed softball questions by the sycophantic reporters at CBS News—yet President Biden for the second year in a row is choosing to skip the traditional Super Bowl halftime interview. He couldn't be bothered in 2023 either, but one could argue that it was because it would have been Fox News anchors asking the questions, as the network had the SB that year—but what's the excuse this year? If CBS' Norah O'Donnell got the gig, she would likely spend the segment asking about what ice cream flavors he preferred.

Quemado, Texas — Some twenty miles north of the Texas-seized border park in Eagle Pass, Texas, hundreds of rallygoers congregated on a private ranch in the small border community of Quemado. A crowd of what appeared to be more than 500 people gathered and listened to inspirational speeches and Christian music on a warm Saturday afternoon. One of the event organizers told Breitbart Texas the group intends to carry out a peaceful demonstration with a message of prayer for the security of the United States.
At the ranch’s gate, volunteers with the “Take Our Border Back Rally” identified those seeking to enter and allowed media from across the country

In a rare campaign appearance that looked more like a “proof of life” hostage video, Dementia Joe Biden awkwardly shuffled across the stage and attempted to tie a few mumbled syllables together into cogent sentences — “attempted” being the key word here. Paul Joseph Watson at Modernity News chronicled Bumbling Joe’s addled “eloquence” for posterity: “‘We’ll teach Donald Trump un...err...arr valuable lesson,’ said Biden, ‘Don’t mess with uhhiminauhwemerica unless you wanna get a...(the last word is totally undecipherable).’” Watson added a personal observation: “Despite the embarrassment, Biden’s supporters cheered mindlessly anyway.”
That last part struck me as the Democrats’ ideal 2024 campaign slogan: “Biden and Harris:

California is set to be lashed by up to six months worth of rainfall in just three days as the strongest atmospheric river storm of the season sweeps in.
Residents are being being warned they may be evacuated as up to a foot of water deluges the golden state.
About 13.5 million are people due to be under alerts for 'excessive rainfall' on Monday. Coastal areas are expected to be worst hit, but there is the potential for 'life-threatening floods' in all areas including highly populated urban areas such as Los Angeles, according to the National Weather Service.
