Migrants housed in one of New York City's hotels will receive pre-paid cards with which to buy food and baby supplies, instead of the city providing meals the migrants often did not want. Eric Adams, the mayor of New York, estimated the scheme will save the city $600,000 a month, or $7.2 million annually. The pilot program is being rolled out at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, with 500 families involved, The New York Post reported. They will be given cards which can be only used at bodegas, supermarkets and delis. Migrants must sign an affidavit promising to only use the cards for food and baby supplies, or else

So they were going to spend 60 million a year and now are going to hand out debit cards that will only cost 53 million a year. And meanwhile Americans who served and are suffering from severe PTSD and/or drug addiction due to becoming dependent on the painkillers they used recovering from injuries and rehabbing freeze and die in the streets. And the Democrats are compassionate while the Republicans are mean?

The ingratitude is outrageous. Then again, voters are learning that politicians who support Sanctuary Cities are worthless "representatives" when it comes to their own constituents. Dems to stand by while their actual constituents are forced to provide Biden's picky eaters with credit cards. This is what happens when politicians forget who works for whom. Citizens get taken for granted, and the only way to fix that problem is to remind politicians that nobody owns a job.

They slip them into stories every chance they get. Know what? Most people have never been to a bodega, dont know what one is, and dont much care. Why do they need debit cards when shoplifting is the faster and easier way to get what you need? I have a difficult time accepting the definition of this mess as an "invasion" when the US Government and various liberal charities send these people invitations, bus tickets, plane tickets, supply them with clothing and blankets, open the doors of the border wide and ask them which US city they would like to take over. This is a planned destruction of the country.

Many years ago I worked on a research paper as to why there were so many people on food stamps in Puerto Rico. About 70% of the population of the island at the time was covered. Turns out there was a huge organized black market in the "stamps" --- which look like dollar bills but are brown, not green. No kidding! Who knew? The runners would go into the stores and buy tons of bread, eggs, milk, baby food, etc. and then they would openly sell it all in the parking lots for half the price in cash. They'd then take the cash and go back in and buy "birras" or "chelas" or whatever. And everyone was happy! The bodegas (that word means "warehouse" in P.R. and originated there) made full price profits for the original food, then also the beer --- and all the people got their food at half price. Expect the same to happen in NYC.

The Supreme Court is set to consider if Donald Trump should be banned from running for president and whether his name can be left off the 2024 ballot in Colorado. Trump was declared ineligible to appear on the Colorado ballot on December 19 and his appeal against the state's Supreme Court's decision will be heard on Thursday. The decision marked the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate. The Civil War-era rule states that people who participate in an insurrection are ineligible for office.

American deaths at the hands of illegal aliens “should not be politicized,” Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who is facing impeachment, told the Washington Post this week. In a long profile by the Post, Mayorkas is featured as a victim of attacks by Republican lawmakers. This week, House Republicans fell just shy of the majority needed to approve articles of impeachment against Mayorkas, though leadership has vowed to try again. One of the reasons House Republicans have sought to impeach Mayorkas, as the Post notes, is the federal government’s inability to protect Americans from illegal immigration. Last year, for example, Mayorkas recalled having to face Angel Mom Elisa Tambunga.

This has been especially notable in iconic American cities like San Francisco, where smash and grabs, car thefts/break-ins, rampant homelessness, street-pooping, and open-air drug use are now the norm, and where there is such disrespect for law and order that even the police department has faced burglary attempts at some of its locations.
