Two major exhibition halls and several other display cabinets at the American Museum of Natural History were empty and covered up on Friday morning as the museum shuttered all Native American-related displays to comply with new federal regulations, shocking new photos showed.
The glass cabinets in the museum’s halls dedicated to the Eastern Woodlands and the Great Plains looked eerily abandoned, just hours after museum director Sean Decatur announced the changes in a letter to staff Friday morning. “The halls we are closing are artifacts of an era when museums such as ours did not respect the values, perspectives and indeed shared humanity of Indigenous peoples,”

For context, reading "Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History" would be helpful. Comanche treatment of subjugated indigenous, and white and black women would embarrass the Hamas attackers of Oct 7th.

Like removing the Indian princess from the Land O’ Lakes butter box. Let’s not know anything about the indigenous peoples.

If these people don't want us to know about their history, so be it. The rest of us don't need to know their history anyway. They're on their own.
You know, there is a Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in DC. Tell them to come pick up their stuff and take it back to their reservations. Indian stuff for the Indians

And nobody in NY is asking where the feddies get the constitutional authority to issue such 'regulations'. Nor is anyone trying top make them prove they have the constitutional authority. They just roll over on their back and p on themselves.

By this logic, the oversized AA hut should also close its doors, not that there is much in it.

Native Americans seem bent on removing their history. Before long nobody will know or care who they are.

I do not want to hear a word of complaint form Native American activists about lack of representation of indigenous peoples represented in museums and historical displays across the country. Blame your pal Joe Biden and his PC cronies in Washington DC and your activist buddies for erasing you from history. Activists, the Tribes, and liberals erased Native American history from public display in the USA, not White supremacy or desire to show a whitewashed version of history.

Please don't blame Native Americans, especially those of us descended from one of the Five Civilized Tribes, for what are largely a bunch of fat, screechy greasy-haired white women deciding"on behalf of the ignorant Indians, whom we must protect from themselves." Many Native American tribes have sought, and currently seek, the reversal of the trend to remove Indian images and names (e.g., Redskins) from sports teams. Native Americans who mimic the "woke," are typically from some of the smaller, obscure tribes and are seeking attention, like typical democrats. Many of the menfolk from my Native side of the family served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, with more than a few buried overseas in US military cemeteries. No one, as far as I'm aware, is asking that their bodies be repatriated. They were buried with their friends and brothers, be they white, black, or reddish-brown.

I see that Biden* has brought the old segregation Jim Crows laws back. Once a racist Democrat, always a racist Democrat. Remember he said his hero was Sen. John Stennis-D MS, a staunch segregationist. So it figures.

FTA: "At a committee meeting last June, Scott Willard, who works on repatriation issues for the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, expressed discomfort with how the new regulations could make Native remains sound like “throwaway items,” the paper reported. 'This garage sale mentality of ‘Give it all away right now’ is very offensive to us,' he said at the time.'"
As #12 stated, the fetish to remove Indian imagery and history from American culture comes from the radical Left. It is part and parcel of the same cancel culture eating away at the fabric of our society in every warp and weave; "trans" erasing women's only spaces and sports, illegal aliens replacing American citizens, sports figures "taking a knee" during the National Anthem, Jewish students being harassed on college campuses, stores looted by roving mobs of shoplifters, while homeless drug addicts line the sidewalks of our "greatest" cities.
Do not blame the Indian tribes or their members for this historical and cultural debacle. The blame lies squarely, as always, with the enemies of our Republic, the progressive communists. They are evil and will be defeated, through steadfast faith in God, prayer and fasting. We're Americans. Others faced hard and tough times before this in our almost 250-year history. We also have great deeds to do, and we are blessed with a lion of a leader.

Why do "native" Americans get this preferential treatment? We don't extend the same courtesies to the Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, News, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Celts, Aztecs, Incas etc etc etc. There are very few religions or civilizations that have a positive view with displaying the dead or having their Graves dug up. Whatever you do, don't offend the Indians.

This is a wonderful idea - - save "indigenous" culture - - by wiping out its existence.
Only good commies could come up with an idea like this.
Next up - - the Roman Empire never existed.
