Trump slams his former White House press
secretary Kayleigh McEnany as a 'RINO'
after she criticized his New Hampshire
victory speech and suggested he adopt
a more 'general election tone'

Donald Trump has added former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany to the list of Republicans he has branded a 'RINO' after she advised him to 'look under the hood' and adopt a 'general election tone'. McEnany offered the unvarnished, and apparently unwelcome, advice during live commentary on Fox News on a night when Trump spent much of his New Hampshire victory speech torching rival Nikki Haley, calling her an 'imposter' and grumbling, 'I don't get too angry, I get even.' 'I don't need any advice from RINO Kayleigh McEnany on Fox,' Trump vented online shortly before midnight on Tuesday, using an acronym for 'Republican In Name Only'.

Trump must absolutely offer an alternative to what is going on in Washington. He cannot do that as a RINO. If people are content with the status quo in Washington, it is on them. At least Trump offers a real alternative to Washington's corruption, green new deal, out of control spending, runaway inflation, entitlements, social justice, and woke preferential treatment.

I’m thankful he is unambiguously standing strong for this country and MAGA! He needs to continue to stand strong & clear on his MAGA stance. His supporters need to hear that. All potential supporters need to hear it. Trump shouldn’t allow anyone any leeway for confusing all of this sudden unity talk from people who have worked overtly, subversively, and/or passively to stop him from MAGA. If RINOS want unity, it MUST be on Trump’s (America’s) terms this time. We’ve tried moderating to accommodate their “unity advice” too many times. It hasn’t worked. That kind of “unity” is what got US to the point of “Fundamental Change”. (Right where many of them want US.) America is past the point of compromise. We’ve done all of that we can afford to do & still survive. Kayleigh McEnany may or may not be a RINO. I don’t watch her, or FOX, or television, enough to judge for myself.. Regardless, it is bad advice. Surely she should know that 70% of Haley’s “supporters” aren’t even Republicans, & that most Dems crossed over just long enough to try & help her defeat Trump. If she doesn’t know it, she could easily verify that Haley has totally embraced that strategy in revealing her plan to “use open primaries & Democrats” to defeat Trump. https://www.lucianne.com/2024/01/24/positively_stunning_-_nikki_haley_campaign_manager_sends_letter_saying_the_haley_plan_is_to_use_open_primaries_and_democrats_122127.html

I've accepted that Trump is the choice of the Republican base, so I will once again, vote for him, provided he's on the ballot as a "R" in my state, which I expect he will be. I do not hang on his every word, though. Not even my personal favorite president, RWR, who coined "Make America Great Again," eschewing the acronym, in his 1980 campaign, should be above criticism, as the words, actions, and inactions of US presidents, the ultimate holders of "public office," affect all American citizens, some more or less than others. Any public office holder, particularly a conservative, who serially calls out people whom he/she put into positions of authority and/or responsibility within his/her administration, calling them "RINOs," ought to cause some introspection and perhaps even some modest adjustment, but Trump sees no need for that, particularly when he has a large, accommodating "A-men corner."

I would be interested in hearing how Trump attacking his excellent press secretary for daring to voice an opinion benefits him in any way at all. The Trump pom pom squad's narrative that the man can do no wrong is as idiotic as the Democrat Party's notion that he is Hitler. Trump has an ardent base. I am one of that base but I have enough sense to know that his base cannot put him over the top. Insulting people for not falling to their knees in awe of the man will not attract the voters Trump needs to win.

I believe Trump wants every vote he can get to help save this country! His MAGA message of restoring & preserving this Republic is the ultimate “reaching out” to anyone and everyone who loves America. Focusing on Trump’s personality traits while ignoring the cause he is defending reminds of those who complain about the “bedside manner” of a skillful doctor or surgeon who has a reputation for going beyond the call of duty to successfully save lives. Trump is head and shoulders above those who would sacrifice the needs of the country to their dislike of someone who has not only proven the leadership knowledge & skills to successfully do the job, but the shown the trustworthiness to keep the promises he made to do it - despite concerted efforts to stop him. (Those trying to stop him - - - Speaking of offensive character flaws!)

At one time I probably would have agreed with Kayleigh. No more. The crap that has been thrown at Donald Trump makes me realize even more how hard they are trying to minimalize him and box him in. Isn't that what we have seen in leadership for a long, long time? All the while we Americans just have to keep paying for it in one way or another. Donald Trump is bluntly honest and is responding to Kayleigh McEnany's remark. After all, SHE IS the one who opened up her mount and spoke her opinion. I actually disagree with #11 about addressing comments or thoughts. Being on Fox she basically is given the microphone and people viewing form opinions. The media have been very, very successful in painting Donald Trump in a bad light; yet, they don't actually get to know his positives. No, I don't fawn over Donald Trump or anyone - I kneel for God only. What I do APPRECIATE about Donald Trump is his willingness to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Lead people to do their best. God's best.

Whether President Trump is justified in his comments or not, I worry just how difficult it will be for him, if and when elected, to put together a Cabinet and White House staff. He has turned against so many of his former staffers and Cabinet members. And so many of them have been sued or dragged before democrat Congressional committees after leaving government, having to hire Washington attorneys at $900 per hour. At some point, he has to know that he cannot do this alone. He needs to build a team.

An additional comment to Kayleigh McEnany: your advice for Donald Trump to "look under the hood" and adopt a "general election tone" is almost insulting. I will explain. Let's put Donald Trump side by side with Joe Biden in just this one situation - the 2020 summer riots versus the January 6,2021 rally. Did you see Donald Trump step in and start imprisoning any of the rioters? Look at how Joe Biden has handled the rioters in January 6. Tell me who the "mean one" is? I firmly believe that Donald Trump trusted the wrong people. Kayleigh McEnany is one of them. I believe there was an article that Melania Trump was going to be an active part of his campaign. That is going to make a difference. . .

I am reminded of an important lesson I received as a kid, when a friend of my father spent weeks trying to help my dad figure out what was wrong with our family car. For weeks on Saturdays, I would watch these two inexperienced men attempt to fix a jammed motor. My dad would pay his friend for the help, but it wasn’t until later that a real mechanic informed my dad someone had poured syrup into the gas tank, which caused sugar to expand within the pistons of the engine, thereby disabling our already old VW station wagon. The date for the demand is set for Friday, January 26th, with the Biden administration saying it wants full access to Shelby Park, a boat launch, and the international bridge.
