A new historic wrongful death and negligence lawsuit on behalf of January 6, 2021, police-murder victim Ashli Babbitt’s estate details Officer Michael Byrd’s incompetence and multiple revocations of his firearm privileges for previous dangerous incidents.
The Gateway Pundit reported Friday, one day before the third anniversary of Jan. 6, that Judicial Watch filed a $30 million wrongful death suit against the federal government for the Capitol Police shooting of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt.

If he was that big an idiot, why was he retained and even promoted? Oh, never mind. I see.

"Lt. Byrd’s police powers also were revoked for a prior off-duty shooting into a stolen, moving vehicle in which the occupants were teenagers or juveniles. The stolen vehicle was Lt. Byrd’s car. Lt. Byrd fired multiple shots at the fleeing vehicle in a suburban area. Stray bullets from Lt. Byrd’s firearm struck the sides of homes nearby. An official investigation found that Lt. Byrd’s use of force was not justified."
There's one and only one reason why Michael Leroy Byrd gets promoted.

Some advice for " USCP commander" Byrd who may be feeling anxious - drink. Yes, drink, drink and drink some more. Drink your cares away, then drink some more. All day works best.

The most beautiful headline I've seen in my entire memory. I have never failed to bring this up anytime I could in any comment section. That young woman was standing there just looking. She was murdered. Her murderer got a promotion and raise. I hope with all my heart her estate wins, and wins big.

Good luck, J.W. Winning this suit is a longshot, but you never know. It is not clear who in the federal government is the defendant. I would suggest Nanie.

This reminds me of an old saying we had in the Army. F*** Up - Move up. I hope they win their suit. Byrd should do some time for this outrageous shooting.

They may not win, but I hope they have their day in court to expose the facts.

Sure would be nice to see if they depose and call to the witness stand Naci Piglosi. Be interesting to hear her side f the story without a loving Kneepad Media around and under oath.

I'll remind Michael Byrd, there is no statute of limitations on murder. I'll remind the prosecutors and the J6 committee that suppressing evidence connected to a murder is a crime as well. And you will be prosecuted.

IF that had been a white cop shooting a black woman, this country would have burned down.

To clarify Reply #5, the victim was climbing through a broken window. Just a fact. The shooter proved in the past he was incompetent to be a police officer.

Will they take away Byrd's recent affirmative action promotion away from him, which he was given in anticipation of his retirement? Millions of honest people in this country are still being denied firearms rights while this worthless, dangerous individual still carries a gun after murdering an unarmed woman.

“Lt. Byrd had a reputation among peers for not being a good shot.”
IIRC, there were Capitol Police officers in the crowd behind Babbitt. I’ve often wondered if Byrd had been ordered to shoot one of them to enhance Pelosi’s narrative and missed.
God bless Tom Fitton. If you can scrape up some cash in this economy, Judicial Watch could use the donations. They are doing what congress should be doing.
