SCOTUS will hear Fischer vs. United States, the lawsuit questioning the unconstitutional 1512(c)(2) charges used by the Biden Department of Justice to abuse and punish January 6 protesters who came to Washington DC to protest the stolen 2020 election. The case involves three j6 defendants: Jake Lang, who we have reported on extensively here at The Gateway Pundit, Garret Miller, who pleaded guilty to 11 other criminal charges and was sentenced in February, and Joseph Fischer, who, like Lang, continues to await trial. The news broke this morning. Lang’s decision to move his arguments to the Supreme Court follows a split ruling in the DC Court of Appeals in April.

Comments:

I'm sure there are countries which lock people up indefinitely with no hearings and no trials. We here in the US are protected by the 6th Amendment: the right to a speedy trial.

ICYMI - The DOJ is using an obscure Sarbanes-Oxley regulation to add an additional 10 years to the sentences of the J6th Protestors. Sarbanes-Oxley is a Banking Regulation passed by Senator Warren and the Democrats. It has nothing to do with protesting.

All the J6 political prisoners should be released and compensated big time. This regime is such an embarrassment and extremely dangerous. It doesn't take long for a once great country to fall so far in such a short time.

First time since the Civil War when Lincoln locked up people without trial or bail. These people were badly treated by black prison guards in DC jail and have been there for almost 3 years without bail or trial. Even if guilty their time served should be over any sentence they may have received. IMO those who broke the Constitution and rules governing prisoner should be the ones serving in prison, and Nancy Pelosi was the demon behind this whole thing.

Might be a good reason they stopped using this statute in their continued persecution of anyone who happened to be in DC on J6. Why didn't the judges (supposed to know better) on the DC Courts realize this was likely a misuse of the law? Or, did they simply not want to get in the way of the Biden DOJ out of fear of retribution? And, I'm still suspicious of those men who were scaling the Capitol walls instead of using the stairs just a few feet away. I'm presuming they were some sort of law enforcement folks who had such training, as I have not heard of anyone being charged for such action.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. The only real drawback to the columnist gig is that when you make a mistake, you make it in front of the whole world. One of my takes on Presidentish Joe Biden's so-called Inflation Reduction Act — really the Green New Deal Lite in drag — is a case in point. On Dec. 5 I wrote a column headlined "You Won't Believe How Many EV Chargers Biden Can Buy for $7.5 Billion." This being the Biden administration, of course, the answer was "zero." I'm here to tell you today that I screwed this one up and that's why I opened this column with an apology.

Joe Biden botched his big announcement about rail investment on Friday, declaring that the federal government would spend 'over a billion, three hundred million, trillion, three hundred million dollars'. The president was in Las Vegas, unveiling $8.2 billion in new federal funding for 10 major passenger rail projects across the country. Among them is a new line from the Nevada city to Los Angeles, which when completed - potentially as soon as 2028 - can carry over 11 million passengers a year, powered entirely by renewable energy. Biden mocked his predecessor for repeatedly promising Infrastructure Week, but failing to deliver.

Republicans have put him front and center of their efforts to say his father acted corruptly when he was vice president. And he could face almost 20 years in prison if convicted of three felony and six misdemeanor charges brought last week. The result is an 81-year-old father desperately worried about the welfare of a son who has battled drink and drugs, and a son who fears more attacks if Trump wins in 2024.

In a tentative vote reportedly planned for next week, the California State Water Resources Control Board may vote on a measure that would allow sewage water to be converted into purportedly safe drinking water. Under the proposed plan, wastewater that is currently treated and released into oceans and rivers, and used for field irrigation, may be “treated at a higher level” and then sent “back into the main water supply over the course of hours to days,” the Washington Examiner reported.

The peer-reviewed study published Wednesday in the Public Library of Science's journal PLOS One investigated greenhouse gas emissions of methane and nitrous oxide in human breath, which allegedly "contribute to global warming." Well, there it is! I knew it was coming! Are you serious about stopping global warming? Well, then, just stop breathing! What a boon to depopulationists!
