US: End game in Gaza ‘ultimately’

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said Sunday that the end game in Gaza is “ultimately” up to Israel as it escalates its operations into the territory without a clear military objective on what it seeks to accomplish aside from the eradication of Hamas. CBS’s Margaret Brennan pressed Sullivan on what milestones Israel needs to pass to consider ending their efforts against militant group Hamas, which launched a deadly attack against Israel more than three weeks ago. Sullivan said on “Face the Nation” that ending the attacks would be up to Israel as the U.S. continues to advise them in its ongoing war. “Well, they have declared

Of course the decision is Israel’s. And the goal is clear…eradicate Hamas (step 2), so that Gaza can be rebuilt as a functional and prosperous community (step 3).

What do they mean “without a clear military objective.” That makes it sound as if they’re just bombing wherever and whoever with regard for life or limb. We are so screwed with Obama choreographing this nightmare.

Sullivan has no idea who he should be talking to! and should be fired immediately. The end is up to Hamas which is preventing food, water, fuel, etc. from reaching Gazans who want it, is till firing rockets and artillery at Israel, is still holding hostages and committing numerous war crimes. Hamas is hoarding supplies Gazans need and want and should release same to them immediately. And then surrender.

Keep in mind that 2yrs5months ago this "Reporter's" main Linkdin accomplishment was that she was running the sign in desk at the GW University weight room and recreational sports facility(10 hrs a week). She graduated a year later with a degree in Political Communication, w/poli-sci minor. She then worked as a social media content underling at North Jersey dotcom., is now a byline name at "The Hill". Not surprised that Israel has not called her...personally... and explained what their "clear military objectives" are, nor how they intend to achieve them.

It’s not difficult to define. Israel has a complete list of 5000 top Hamas fighters - name, address, driver’s license. First make sure all of them get busy with their 72 virgins each. Second, raze Gaza into tent city. No concrete structures. Third, put it under indefinite quarantine. They get food, water, fuel, medicines but ONLY through Israeli channels. No direct connection with the outer world. Those who want to leave should be allowed. If the UN doesn’t approve, ask them to go pound sand. That’s the end goal.

FTA: "...operations into the territory without a clear military objective..." And what was Hamas' military objective (clear or otherwise)? Israel has the clear objective of 1) destroying Hamas' ability to make terrorist raids into Israeli territory, 2) breaking Hamas hold of the non-Hamas people in Gaza (I think there are three of them - that's sarcasm, yall), and 3) an ultimate goal of oblitherating Hamas, itself. How does that do for you, "The Hill"? (I just know "The Hill" reporters heard that phrase in classes on how to tell terrorists from freedom fighters and have just been aching to use it to establish "equity.)

this whole thing is ".. up to Israel" and they are more than capable of eliminating Hamas and all the other bad actors in that region and they just have one bit of advice for any nation that interferes, like we used to say in the Army: "lead, follow or get out of the way"

Israel's only military objective is eliminating Hamas. Once they're gone, people in Gaza can have a chance at a better life.

On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Israeli Government Spokesman Eylon Levy reacted to calls for humanitarian pauses by Israel by pointing out that, according to reporting by The New York Times, Hamas has ample supplies of fuel and other supplies for itself and calling on those pushing for a pause to demand Hamas release its own fuel. Host Andrea Mitchell asked if Israel is concerned about the White House getting frustrated over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Levy said that Israel welcomes “the very solid support that we have received from President Biden, his moral clarity and material support as well, in explaining

Former President Donald Trump responded to the new gag order recently placed on him by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, calling it an “unthinkable” assault on his First Amendment rights. On Sunday, Chutkan, who has been overseeing the case regarding Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election in Washington, DC, reinstated a narrow version of the gag order that would bar the former president from making “public comments targeting prosecutors, court staff and potential witnesses,” according to the Associated Press. The outlet noted: U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over the federal case charging Trump with plotting to overturn the results of the 2020 election, had temporarily

I am old enough to remember when conservatives decried “cancel culture” and the Left scoffed. It wasn’t “cancel culture.” It was about holding people accountable. You could use the wrong pronouns and lose your job because transphobia is literal genocide. Instead, Gallant offered Hamas a different deal, which sounds remarkably like Hamas’ true ‘offer’ to the Israelis. “Die or surrender” sums both up nicely, no? On Friday evening, Harvard President Claudine Gay gave a speech to Harvard Hillel that was adapted in Forward. Gay forthrightly admitted that Harvard has an anti-Semitism problem: Here in the U.S., we are witnessing a surge in anti-Jewish incidents and rhetoric across the nation — and on our own campus. The ancient specter of antisemitism, that persistent and corrosive hatred, has returned with renewed force. A recent ADL report found that incidents of antisemitism had almost tripled over the past six years nationally. Here at Harvard, I’ve heard story after story of Jewish students feeling increasingly uneasy or even threatened on campus.
