Republicans secure massive gas pipeline
approval in debt ceiling deal

Original Article

The highly-anticipated debt ceiling package House Republicans and President Biden announced on Sunday includes a provision fast-tracking a massive 303-mile West Virginia-to-Virginia natural gas pipeline project for approval. The unexpected carveout green-lighting the billion-dollar Mountain Valley Pipeline — which is 94% complete, but has been mired in a lengthy permitting process for years — was immediately cheered by West Virginia lawmakers who have touted the project's expected economic benefits for years. The pipeline is projected to create 2,500 construction jobs, $40 million in new tax revenue for West Virginia, $10 million in new tax revenue for Virginia and up to $250 million in royalties for West Virginia landowners.

The Republicans may as well go on home. They have given up any leverage they have against the Democrats. The deal will pass overwhelmingly, as the Democrats and Rinos will vote for it.

#7 This pipeline runs almost to North Carolina and will benefit the entire region and the US. It has been held up by the commies for years. Construction started in 2017. There's literally less than 20 miles needed to complete it. This isn't a bad thing.

Too many voices I trust are slamming the Joe & Kevin Debt Deal. Slamming it hard. Just saw Rep Nancy Mace (SC-1) come out against it. So yeah, everybody please golf-clap for the gas pipeline approval, but there is so much wrong with this deal. Per its terms, our side cannot oppose another debt ceiling raise until after the 2024 election because Biden. And spending doesn't go down, it's only "contained" to 1% increase a year. And so much more. Read the details and you'll want to bang your head on something.

President Joe Biden’s Customs and Border Protection (CBP) One mobile app, which allows users to schedule appointments at the United States-Mexico border, has now helped release nearly 80,000 foreign nationals into American communities in less than four months. For more than two years, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has implemented a number of programs in its expansive Catch and Release network, including the CBP One mobile app.The mobile app entices foreign nationals in Mexico who are pregnant, mentally ill, elderly, disabled, homeless, or crime victims to schedule an appointment with DHS officials at the border in the hopes of being released into American communities.

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV) is leading Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) by double-digits in a head-to-head primary matchup in the Mountain State, a recent ECU survey found. Justice, who jumped into the Senate race in April after stating that it is “time for the Republicans to take control of the Senate,” is leading the incumbent by 22 points among registered voters. A majority, 54 percent, support Justice, compared to 32 percent who support Manchin. Another 13 percent remain undecided, and one percent said “some other candidate.” This coincides with the fact that Justice has a positive job approval rating, as 57 percent approve compared to 29 percent who disapprove.

McCarthy released the text of the Fiscal Responsibility Act on Sunday evening, which increases the debt ceiling through Jan. 1, 2025, taking it past the 2024 presidential election. “Let’s not forget there are no tax hikes, period, full stop,” Kudlow said. “So, I think this is a political win for Republicans and conservatives.
