While being interviewed by Megyn Kelly this week, the comedienne Roseanne Barr revealed the very personal reason that she has for seeing abortion as a “barbarity.” (snip) During an appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Barr opened up about her decision to give up her daughter for adoption in the 1960s after becoming pregnant at 18. The 70 year-old former “Roseanne” star explained that she put the baby up for adoption through a Jewish social services organization in Denver, knowing deep down that they would reunite someday. Sure enough, they would go on to reunite when the girl turned 18, and they enjoy a beautiful relationship to this day.

I worked with a lady who placed a child for adoption in the 60's. About 2008, they were able to find each other. The son lives in an other part of the country and they have a great relationship.

My story too. Gave a baby up in 1970 and found her in 2008. We have a beautiful relationship. I would never have had an abortion. Even though I could of. Her adopted Mother called me an angel for what I gave her. Made everything feel so worth all the pain we went through.

I'm so glad I took a look at this thread before going to bed. #1, that's a wonderful story, and one that I hope has been repeated many, many times. I hope that brave lady has incredible peace in a heart that must have borne such anguish for so many years. She gave her son life two times, and he can live his life knowing exactly who he is and how much he was loved and is loved. #2, you gave your baby daughter a gift greater than words can describe. I can't imagine a purer love than that which you had for her when you made that brave decision. I hope that every Mother's Day brings grace and peace to your heart. If you are a believer in life beyond this earth, I'm quite certain eternity will be wonderful for you.

I was told my baby would be born blind and retarded, but I just could not have the abortion that my Catholic doctors tried to force on me. She's 43 now and very beautiful and successful.

Roseanne Barr has said horrible things in the past. She’s crude and nasty. But her attitude towards abortion make me feel a definite respect. Like Trump, although I have no desire to meet her in real life in a weird way I think she’s a decent human being.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein spent months missing from the Senate. As far as the public was concerned, she had shingles, and that’s it. End of story. Nothing to worry about, she’ll be back soon, ready to return to business, case closed, let’s stop talking about her resigning, shall we? Except this wasn’t just a simple case of an 89-year-old woman with shingles. It wasn’t until after Feinstein returned to the Senate that her office confirmed the senior senator from California was admitted to the hospital with serious neurological complications resulting from shingles. The condition, which is called encephalitis, affected her brain and face.

U.S. District Judge Taylor McNeel in Gulfport, appointed by former President Donald Trump, sided with the school on Friday.

As discussed here many, many times, the big problem with generating electricity from wind and solar sources is that they are intermittent. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don’t. And sometimes they don’t work for days on end. The times when both wind and sun fail at the same time for multiple days tend to be concentrated in the very coldest days of the winter. This poses a huge problem for central planners’ dreams of “net zero” electricity. Try to solve the problem with grid-scale batteries, and suddenly you’re talking wildly unaffordable costs in the trillions of dollars.
