Can a Discriminatory View of Legal Standing Stand?

Original Article

Francis Menton at the Manhattan Contrarian, who often has well-considered things to say, posted an intriguing and important blog this week. In 2009 the EPA found that CO2 and other “greenhouse gases” endanger human health and welfare because they potentially warm the atmosphere. Many scientists have taken issue with this finding, which has provided the justification for reducing conventional energy sources, raised the cost of energy to consumers, and unrolled massive federal and state spending for manifestly unreliable alternative sources. The Biden administration has pressed this autocracy-enabling finding to its bosom, using it to justify regulating everything, -- including gas

Great article; full of reason and truth. Unfortunately, those are two things which no longer have much sway. I agree with the comments appended below the original article. The AGW hoax has been powerfully and relentlessly forced on several generations in the education workhouses. And, the Supine Corpse---if forced to evaluate this issue---will show the same self-interested timidity they did in 2012 with Obama Don't Care, and the 2020 election theft.

Of course it can. In our two-tier legal system, the insiders (liberals, deep state, Media whores, and now deviants)always have "standing." The unwashed (Conservative, traditionalist, religious, etc.) never have "standing."

Back in the '70's there was a real need for coordinated cleanup of the environment, Major rivers had become open sewers, factory waste was dumped with impunity and major cities were engulfed in smog and dirt. Over time "mission creep" inevitably kicked in at the EPA, creating the overbearing, politicized bureaucratic monster we have today.

Critical quotation: "The stated basis for the EF [Endangerment Finding] is a combination of a temperature series where almost half of the data has been manufactured and infilled by computer algorithm, together with model predictions of atmospheric temperature patterns that have never been found in the empirical data as it has been collected." The finding of "endangerment" is based on fraud, lies, estimates and more fraud. No scientific basis at all.

I hope that Clarice is correct. This non-scientific fairy tale is dangerous as well as very tiresome. There is NO factual basis for 99% of the BS that they are claiming. Lots of "adjusted" numbers in the pathetic, sloppy, poorly sited "temperature data" means that there really isn't any good, solid data in it any more....if there ever was, which is highly questionable. Putting a temp measuring site in an open field in the 70s that is now located in a concrete parking lot, next to a huge building putting out air conditioner exhaust heat towards the temp sensor is NOT "consistent data", yet it is happening a huge numbers of these temperature measuring sites. This is effectively fraudulent data. And a lot of it is "estimated" or "calculated" and that is NEVER actual data --- more fraud.

WATCH: Katie Porter Blames Criticism of

This is not an incorrect headline. Rep. Katie Porter (D-Calif.) has, of course, consistently blamed criticism of her performance in office on sexism like any good neoliberal politician would. But she also recently piloted a new little victimization narrative for herself by complaining about racism, just to shake things up. Porter’s recent cry of racism comes in the context of her travels through the corporate media circuit to promote herself as demented Dianne Feinstein’s replacement as one of California’s two senators. As part of her campaign, Porter graced ABC’s The View, toxic cesspit of performative feminism that it is, for a daytime TV propaganda tour.

For the past couple of years, we’ve been led to believe that the letter from 51 national security officials was some sort of spontaneous, grassroots effort by the intelligence community to warn us about the potential foreign influence behind Hunter Biden’s laptop. The laptop has since been confirmed to be legitimate, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence confirmed that there was no foreign disinformation campaign involved. But new information from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and congressional investigators, with the help of two Obama-era CIA officials, has revealed a new twist in the story. The investigation has uncovered evidence linking the letter dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop

My friend Bill Mohrmann is representing Derek Chauvin on appeal of his conviction for the murder of George Floyd. Former Acting Solicitor General of the United States Neal Katyal is representing the State of Minnesota. It’s something of a David and Goliath matchup. The Minnesota Court of Appeals was the first stop. The court held oral argument before a panel of three judges this past January. I reported on it here. The principal issue on appeal was that pretrial publicity and related riots required a change of venue — that they precluded a fair trial in violation of the Sixth Amendment. As we noted repeatedly during trial, the martial security

Over the last few days, he has begun calling attention to the transgender cult’s grooming of the youngest children in schools in a particularly piquant — and riotous — way. It all started on Thursday, when Carpe Donktum tweeted: “As a 3rd grade teacher, I often talk about Jesus

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) I am well aware that many who read today’s headline will think, “On its way?!?!?” California is a lot more than what people outside of it see. I lived there for four years when I was a kid and spent over 20 years there as an adult. There are still a lot of good people there, and the physical beauty of the state remains unchanged. The politics, sadly, are rotten to the core. When I left there a little over five years ago, the politics in Sacramento were descending into a hideous place they hadn’t been in all the time I’d lived there.

Twenty-four people were shot Saturday night at a Sweet 16 birthday party in Dadeville, Ala., population 3,000. FACT-O-RAMA! A mass shooting is when four or more people are shot, not including the shooter, in a fluid situation. Hence, when a transgender shooter killed three people — and himself — in 2017, it was not considered to be a mass shooting. There are few details, but sources confirm that four people are dead and 20 are wounded, most of them teens. The facts in this case are even more repulsive than incidents involving men who insist they’re women usually are. A group of seven college girls in Wyoming is suing the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority for admitting a man who claims to be a woman into its chapter at the University of Wyoming, exposing the plaintiffs and their sorority sisters to his lewd behavior. After a woman who claimed to be a man murdered six people in Nashville and trans activists menaced and assaulted women’s rights activist Riley Gaines at San Francisco State University, the plaintiffs requested anonymity. A federal judge, however, has now twice denied this request.

Los Angeles cannot be rid of district attorney George Gascón quickly enough. Neither can win in 2024 without the other, even if the Democratic alternative is an unpopular incumbent whose running mate is a running joke.

The state of California is implementing full Marxism before our very eyes under the guise of “equity.” And so now there can be no possible doubt if there ever was for anyone: instituting Communism has been what “equity” initiatives have been about all along. Now three of its most powerful utility companies are saying that they’re going to charge based not on how much of their product was used, but on how much money the user makes. In simpler times, if you bought something, you paid for it. Rich or poor, tall or short, black or white, female or male, wise or foolish, everyone paid the same amount for a product.

Or was the catalyst the woke revolution fueled by the 2020 summer of exempted rioting, looting, arson, and violence? Or was it perhaps the deranged fixation on removing Donald Trump from the presidency and destroying the rule of law in the process? Or all that and more? Now with the election of Joe Biden, what had been a fast-tracked decline has accelerated at such an astonishing rate we can scarcely recognize our country.
