Former President Donald Trump trashed Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) at the first rally of his 2024 presidential campaign in Waco, Texas, on Saturday night.
Trump hit DeSantis on a number of fronts, including Social Security, Medicare, and the coronavirus pandemic, but his harshest criticism came on the issue of loyalty. Trump recounted that an emotional DeSantis approached him during Florida’s 2018 gubernatorial primary race against Adam Putnam and essentially begged for an endorsement to help land the nomination: But I’m a loyalist, and when a man comes to me, tears in his eyes, he’s at almost nothing in the polls, and he’s fighting somebody that’s at 42 [percent],

Yes, with President Trump's assistance Ron DeSantis became governor of Florida in 2016. He also successfully won re-election last November, 2022...a scant four months ago...and he is now a contender for the presidential race in 2024? I believe there is a Florida state law that prohibits a second term governor from running for president. The citizens of that fair state believe their chief executive should focus all of his attention on the issues of concern to their state. Go figure. Ron DeSantis certainly is not giving 100% of his time and attention to the issues of Florida at the current moment. Did Ron DeSantis lie to the people of Florida last year when he said he wanted to be their governor until January 2027? Can Ron DeSantis be trusted?

Think someone ought to tell Trump that “Sanctus” unlike “sanctimonious” is a good thing.

RE#1. That law was repealed. The law "was", one has to resign if one is going to run for a different office. The law didn't prevent a governor from running for president, as that would be unconstitutional.
From what I've seen, DeSantis is doing a fine job of governing. And he did a fine job of governing while running for re-election. Some people can actually do two things at once.

There's a huge difference between running for reelection in one's own state and campaigning across the nation for the nomination to be President.

Trump needs to focus his attacks on the Dims and Biden. THEY are destroying the country, NOT Ron DeSantis.

Donald Trump is acting like the schoolyard bully again with his silly name calling. Mr. Trump, you're now a "former" U.S. President, act like one, instead of a professional wrestler with an inferiority complex.

What is really sad is that Donald Trump's message "Make America Great Again" resonates with a lot of Americans but his personality/ego detracts from him having a landslide victory. I wish someone would tell him about his ego when he gets into name calling such as "DeSantus" because it does represent him well.

# 1, this past week the Governor signed an important measure regarding tort reform. He is very much engaged in his work.

Presuming that FPDT takes the nomination...who will sell their soul to be his VP running mate? Certainly it cannot be DeSantis. Who will he find that is NOT a tool of the globalists and establishment elites? Who is brave, courageous and bold, but not so much as to steal the spotlight? Who will become his handpicked successor for '28, creating that MAGA Dynasty so many here anticipate? After Trump, who? I'd like to hear from the MAGA Nation on this.

# 12 - "brave, courageous and bold"? How about Wyatt Earp? :-)
Seriously, though, you are not going to get much if any feedback. You're looking for someone who doesn't exist. and the notion of a twelve-year MAGA dynasty (given the declining state of our country) is problematic, to say the least.

I am over Trump. Shut up. I voted for him but not a fan anymore. If he wins the nomination I will vote for him. However, he needs to Quit acting like a prepubescent scorned petty schoolgirl. Focus on what you will do for the country, why the democrats are bad and stop attacking your fellow republicans!
