A couple of National Hockey League players have refused to be bullied into wearing pride jerseys during pregame warmups and much of the response has been madness – and worse. It’s another sign that Western culture is in a steep decline. In 1980’s “The Sweater,” an animated short that gets its title from the traditional term for a hockey jersey in Canada, a boy in Quebec accidentally receives a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey rather than the Montreal Canadiens No. 9 Maurice Richard jersey that his mother had ordered, and the jersey all his friends wear. The only thing that will stop this madness being rammed down our throats is for more of us to speak up! Don't use slurs, curses or get angry. Simply say: "I don't want to do that, thank you". If they don't get the hint, say: How'd you like it if I made you wear a cross?

This is a very well-written article discussing tactics used by the left to bully people into conformity. While the focus is on a controversy resulting from some players not wearing Pride warm-up jerseys, this is not about hockey per se. Well worth a read. Thanks, OP.

It is really sad because people don't want pressure in their own lives but then turn around and pressure someone because of this issue. If someone is truly offended, I would rather offend the person than God. Of course, if you don't have a relationship with God, then the person will not understand and will be offended. God is sovereign and authority. I try to live out God's Greatest Commandment - love God with all your heart, mind, and soul AND love your neighbor as yourself. I will be honest, truthful, respectful and kind to people but with this issue, God comes first.

One of my takeaways from this article is that even after all the flak that Provorov took for making his stand, his game jerseys were selling out at the NHL Shop and at Fanatics. On top of that, in the days following Provorov making his mild protest, two NHL teams that had decided to wear pride jerseys during warm-ups changed their minds and decided not to. Hopefully, these organizations are beginning to realize it’s better to wake up rather than be woke!

This article warms my heart because I love hockey and would bet a million dollars that 99% of the players don’t want to wear special jerseys. They just want to get out there, play, earn their salaries while they are supporting their families.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict has dominated the news for a year, and has led to yet another sharp political split in the U.S. as fears grow that the conflict could spiral out of control and lead to a wider war in Europe with Russia. Average Americans are deeply concerned, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. In this month's online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from March 1-3 of 1,370 adults, we asked Americans a number of questions to gauge their opinions and feelings about the Russia-Ukraine war, and the U.S.' role in supporting Ukraine. The first question asked: "How concerned are you that the

Incredulity. Astonishment. Disgust. Anger. It is these feelings – amongst others – that describe the general reaction to the revelations of the Twitter Files and other egregious episodes of Big Tech censorship of the electronic public square. The implicit deal with companies like Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc., is very simple:  we will look at your ads if you give us a service for free. The deal did not include censorship. But what is society to expect when those doing the censoring seem to see absolutely nothing wrong with it, that it didn’t even occur to them that what they were engaged in –

Biden Cuts Illegal Border Crossings By
Redefining ‘Illegal’

The Biden administration’s bulletin board, also known as the Washington Post, featured an article last week headlined: “Biden takes heat for border measures, but illegal crossings are down.” Various other news outlets echoed this theme, using terms such as “plunged” and “plummeted,” to describe what is, in fact, a record-high number of illegal crossings in both January and February. How did the administration pull off this “plunge”? Basically, by narrowing the focus and by redefining what counts as an illegal border crossing.

Democrats have long portrayed themselves as the great guardians of the children. In truth, they are destroying the young. The harm they’ve done to children, teens and young adults has spiked in recent years, from scaremongering about global warming to pandemic lockdowns that have unnerved a generation to teaching them a divisive, politically charged curriculum. According to an online medical journal, the University of Calgary has determined there was a spike “in emergency department visits for attempted suicide and suicide ideation among children and adolescents” during the period of “social isolation” that coincides with the pandemic lockdowns. The university

How do we know when Joe Biden is lying? When he says he gives us his word as a Biden. But that’s not the only time he spins a whopper. He says something untrue quite regularly, the most recent instance a tall tale about his “epiphany” regarding gay marriage. When asked about his “evolution on marriage equality” during an interview on Monday night’s “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, Biden radically revised his personal history so that he would appear to have been woke for more than a half century. Our president (how did such a thing ever happen?) said

"Inflation eased again.” “CPI inflation rate slows to 6%.” “Inflation fell for the eighth straight month in February.” Those are the headlines that greeted the latest Consumer Price Index Report. Why aren’t those ungrateful families celebrating? Prices in February climbed 0.4% from the month before and 6% from the year before. Both are down slightly from January. President Joe Biden cheered the news, saying that “today’s report shows annual inflation is down by a third from this summer” and is “the slowest annual increase since September 2021.” Huzzah! OK, sure, that 6% year-over-year bump is still three times the average

Whenever a disaster strikes, you can bet that a story will soon appear blaming “deregulation.” So it was in the immediate aftermath of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. And so it is now with the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. Before most people even knew what had happened over the weekend, the left was blaming President Donald Trump. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, in an op-ed published in Monday’s New York Times, said that a bill Trump signed in 2018 that tweaked some banking rules was responsible for SVB’s failure. “Had Congress and the Federal Reserve not rolled back the stricter oversight, SVB and Signature

Environmentalists, it’s been said, are like watermelons – green on the outside, red on the inside. The term has been around for some time, but it’s just as true as it ever was. Environmentalism has far too much in common with communism. In fact, the parts are so interchangeable that it can be hard to tell the difference. We are reminded of this by the “degrowth” movement. In the words of some of its adherents, degrowth prioritizes “social and ecological well-being instead of corporate profits, over-production and excess consumption. This requires radical redistribution, reduction in the material size of the global economy, and a shift in common values towards care, solidarity

The headline the White House wants everyone to write would say that President Joe Biden’s budget plan will cut projected deficits by $2.9 trillion. That number isn’t impressive at all, given the context. Worse is the way he gets there. Start with the fact that the $2.9 trillion amounts to just a haircut in the projected $20 trillion deficits over the next decade, deficits that Biden and his fellow Democrats vastly inflated with their two-year spending spree. The chart below shows how little difference Biden’s budget would make. Next is the fact that Biden’s budget would increase spending by $1.8 trillion

I am a “cis” white male, though, so I do qualify as “all of the above” in every other ridiculous left-wing sense, so there’s that. Anyway, a recent idiotic article posted on Afru.com makes the argument that drinking coffee perpetuates white supremacy. Yeah. The ridiculous piece suggests that because coffee was “created by black people,” if you enjoy drinking the stuff, you’re “helping an industry built on racism.”

The fungus, Candida aurist, has caused illness and death since it was first detected in the United States. The CDC rates it as an “urgent threat”, the highest level of concern. There are three reasons the CDC has rated the fungus with its highest level of concern- it is multidrug-resistant, it spreads easily in healthcare facilities, and it can cause severe, invasive infections with high mortality rates. The authors of the CDC report wrote that the fungus “has continued to cause illness and death
