At some point, the Republican Party forgot what it was and began its descent into becoming “Democrat Lite.” This was no more apparent when Republican leadership decided that it was going to go along with the Democrat’s 11th-hour Omnibus bill that read more like the Democrat Party’s Christmas wish list.
It didn’t help that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell named the Republican Party’s number one priority as being, not economic stability, national security, or even law and order, but making sure Ukraine was well funded in the war against Russia.
Needless to say, GOP voters were about one pitchfork shy of an angry mob.

There could be theoretically other solutions in the long run. But from here to ‘24 the ONLY answer for the Republicans and for America spells T-R-U-M-P.

For my entire adult life - - the Pubbie platform has been - - - -
"We can run the welfare state better than the democrats can - - but we're always willing to ask them for help."
Sickening. Nauseating. Infuriating.
Only President Trump has ever represented us. And the Pubbies hated him for it.

It's unfortunate that GOP voters were unable to find one more pitchfork and probably never will. Democrats have street theater down to a science. Republicans don't like to raise their voices lest they be considered rude. And when someone appears with the stones to be loud and rude (and effective) like President Trump too many Republicans tut-tut about how uncivil he is and how that's not "who we are". Never mind that "who we are" consistently gets rolled by the loud, rude, uncivil, criminal, corrupt, evil Democrats.

The Republican Party is led by RINO's. The party has no intention of meeting the demands of conservatives. McConnell, and all the gang that stands behind him, has to go. We are 2 months into the House taking over, and there has been nothing but talk. They should have been ready Jan 2. No, they are still organizing, writing letters, and ranting on tv. None of that will get anywhere. GOP power is very short termed, and the time will expire.

I hate the Republican Party and always have. Unfortunately the democrats are even more loathsome. I refuse to join the republicans nor will the party ever get a cent of mine willingly. My reasons are many including McConnell, Romney, Chaney, etc.

We don't have an R-party and a D-party. There is only the Uniparty.

Trouble is, there are too many people in the Republican party that are NOT like Josh Hawley when they should be because that's what the Republican voters want.

I wish Ronna would forget my e-mail address as well. Only a couple of IQ points now separate the pubbies from the dimocraps. America is on the path to insolvency and Ukraine will be holding victory parties with our money. Wild spending is what kills most marriages and it will also kill this country.

I'm all in with Hawley's assessment. Trump is the only person I'll vote for in my waning years of voting. DeSantis better stay in Florida in 2024 to wait his turn. I won't vote for him because I don't know him or who supports him. All this depends on the nuclear cloud that hangs over us before 2024 with the vegetable in charge with our woke military. At this point my mind is numb and future is bleak. FJB bless Donald J. Trump.

Have always said the Republicans need to be the party of alternatives to Democratic policies. From that perspective, Josh Hawley is right on. The problem is it turns into a discussion of spending priorities and that is where things fall apart. The federal government is over 30 trillion in debt. The country is over 90 trillion in debt. We are essentially bankrupt. Unfortunately, that is the last thing our government wants to talk about. That would mean spending cuts which is the opposite of what they promised their big-money supporters. That would mean coming up with economic solutions, but our government is a bunch of economic illiterates. Our government is a stumbling block rather than the answer. Just look at Biden for proof. Is Trump the answer? Only if he does things differently this time around. Need I remind everyone that Washington got the better of him last time? There's lots of opportunity here provided there are people with brains and honesty to do what needs to be done. Frankly, I doubt there is an answer.

President Trump is the only solution for this country...if he takes over again and sets the country back on it's feet...WE have a chance....and all the wanna bes that are challenging him in the primaries need to think twice before they continue their useless quest for power..funded by the never trumpers pouring money into their campaigns will be going nowhere...there isn't one candidate that can hold a candle to President Trump...and all the phony polls...bought and paid for by the "get Trump"establishment of the swamp are dead in the water......

I hate to say this but we will never have another Republican President and the reason is the Dems have broken the code. What is the code you ask, mail in ballots. Covid was a God send for them and all they need is enough of them in about 5 states to pull it off. And you can't out cheat them.

A long-term Republican (I am 87yrs) but no more. We have Hawley, Jordan, and a few more of this quality but the party is full of RINOs, weak and spineless members. With an opponent like members of the Democrat Party, the Republican Party should dominate.

I started sending photos of spines when Bill Frist was leading the Senate but they’ve always been spineless and not wanting to fight back. Only Trump has fought back but the corruption is so deep now it’s looking hopeless.
