Three Florida nursing schools sold thousands of fake nursing diplomas worth millions in a scheme that allowed aspiring nurses to bypass the required training to become licensed in the profession, federal prosecutors alleged Thursday. Siena College, Palm Beach School of Nursing and Sacred Heart International Institute – all based in south Florida – combined to distribute more than 7,600 fraudulent diplomas worth over $100 million or roughly $15,000 per diploma, federal prosecutors said. All schools are now defunct. Twenty-five defendants, including school directors and diploma recipients, were charged in the scheme and each face up to 20 years

I believe all three of these fraudulent schools were located in Palm Beach County or Broward County, both solid Democrat counties. Governor DeSantis removed elections supervisors in several of these counties due to fraud. All our trouble in Florida is in and around Democrat strongholds. The rest of the state votes Red.

Ms Sanon, Ms Napoleon, and Mr. Etienne had the same idea in common. Speculatively, possibly other administrators of schools specializing in certification programs— dental assistants, physicians’ assistants— even of trade schools, are doing the same. Possibly this says the culture, the society, has abandoned any kind of ethics, but when no real standards any longer apply, and achievement is merely a time-stamp, whats the difference?

Amen, #2. When politicians at every level are for sale to the highest bidder and it becomes obvious that even "the Big Guy" is selling out the country for his personal gain it soon becomes every man for himself.

If these individuals passed board exams and became licensed at a rate comparable to other schools, it will be hard to prove these diplomas were fake. Or at the least it will show that the education at other non-accused schools was no better.

were the directors and owners immigrants? There are numerous schools with the same name, even more with a different yet similar spelling, including two unaffiliated with each other though within 40 miles in NW Ohio/SE Michigan. The Original in NY is fairly prestigious, the name might ring a bell for political/poll watchers. Siena Poll is an election year constant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siena_College_(disambiguation) Trump merely rented his name to a "Real Estate School", got sued and charged because the supposedly 'smart' real estate professionals that took the courses didn't get as rich as HE is. No one was harmed, only fools and their monies went their inevitable different directions...yet Headlines exploded.

I hope they have the names of the recipients of these bogus diplomas. How many of them are from places like the DR, Haiti, Philippines and so on? Sic 'em AG and get them out of the profession.

When has a Republican been in D.C. too long? When he prioritizes the Ukraine war over the disintegration of the U.S.-Mexican border. And not just any Republican, but a Texas Republican with a pivotal House leadership role. Michael McCaul is the Texan. He chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He should know better than most about the dangers flooding across the southern border. Dangers posed by illegals, drugs, human trafficking, and cartels. In "'Farha' film on Netflix brings Palestinian lens to a broad audience" (1/23/23), Washington Post reporter Claire Healy can't hide her determination to report news from the Palestinian point of view. The article is about a movie based on a Palestinian story by director Darin Sallam. Sallam admits that "the movie is based in part on a story related by a Palestinian girl" (emphasis added) to Sallam's mother...who obviously relayed it to Sallam. Not exactly the criteria historians would use to instill confidence in its accuracy. [snip] In particular, when Healy states that a war began after Israel declared Independence

To help close the racial wealth gap, the U.S. government should pay $14 trillion in reparations to Black Americans, according to William A. Darity and A. Kirsten Mullen, authors of “From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century.” In an interview with CNBC, Darity, a Duke University professor, and Mullen, a folklorist and writer, said the federal government is financially responsible because it was culpable for the enslavement of Black Americans and legal segregation in the United States. Mullen said “the federal government was party” to both the suppression of the Black vote and in some

Joe Biden’s expected re-election bid will thrust his wife, Jill Biden, further into the public eye, as the White House deploys the self-described introvert to help win over women. What little polling exists in regard to the first lady, who is 71, suggests she’s unknown to many Americans, even after two years at the side of the world’s most powerful person. But within the White House she is understood to be the president’s closest and most protective confidante. “She is his gut check on everything,” said Michael LaRosa, former press secretary to the first lady and special assistant to the

The US is in the midst of a catastrophic fentanyl epidemic that is causing an eye-watering number of deaths and tearing the fabric of American society apart. The ultra-strong opioid being cut with virtually every street drug in the country killed a record 75,000 Americans in 2021, the equivalent of 1,500 lives lost every week.  Fentanyl - which is 100 times more potent than morphine - started off as a cheap and potent alternative to heroin and was used by only the most hardcore drug addicts in the US, who mainly injected it or smoked it through a pipe. But its cheap manufacturing costs and potency have made it the go-to cutting agent

A racist in a tablecloth suit named Dr. Umar Johnson decreed on The Breakfast Club radio show recently that the American government must carve out a full quarter of all economic activity — in perpetuity. “We get a 25% cut… every time America makes a dollar.” That would amount to approximately six trillion dollars annually. He makes sure to emphasize this is a forever arrangement. [Video] Specifically, he wants cash for the “psychological damages” wrought by slavery. Nearly everything, apparently, counts as “psychological damage” to Dr. Johnson.

Jews eat kosher, Muslims have halal, Hindus eschew meat, and many Christians fast during Lent. So naturally, the fastest-growing religion today — earth and climate worship — is developing its own faith-based dietary restrictions. “Climatarians” (also called “reducitarians” or “climavores”) are people who make their food choices based on how what they eat will impact the earth, with the aim of reducing their carbon “foodprint.” The Earthist version of original sin is that, simply by living, people commit climate sin every time they eat, breathe, travel, and heat or cool their homes. Naturally, the younger generations are the most pious Earthists,

The release of the videos from the lethal arrest of Tyre Nichols, 29, is shocking for its lack of professional tactics and procedures. This looks like adrenaline-filled rage … from the officers. At certain points, it is the suspect who sounds to be trying to de-escalate the situation. It is unfortunately not unique. In physical encounters, officers can escalate violence and lose control with lethal consequences. The footage helps establish a number of legal points. The force is clearly and undeniably excessive. It was a complete breakdown of training and supervision. It is hard to look at this tape objectively and analytically given the emotional impact of the scene. Yet

We reported on the video released in the beating death of Tyre Nichols, and the video was not good. The police officers involved, who were all black, were fired and charged with second-degree murder in his death. So, one would think that “justice” was being pursued. Nichols’ family reportedly called for peace, saying they didn’t want any disturbance and were satisfied with how the case had been proceeding so far. But some in New York weren’t listening. There was a march with folks carrying the signs of the Party of Socialism and Liberation. People from the unaffiliated BLM group in New York, and their leader Hawk Newsome, were also marching.

There’s a lot of doublespeak and hiding behind language there ... it goes on to admit that in a “limited number of cases,” the company engineers the COVID-19 virus to “enable the assessment of antiviral activity in cells.” That seems like it requires a lot more explanation...
