An Alabama man was acquitted on a charge of obstruction he faced but was convicted on several other charges for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot.
Joshua Black, 46, of Leeds, Alabama, was found guilty of several federal and misdemeanor charges by U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson after a week-long bench trial in Washington, DC. However, Black is the first defendant to be acquitted of obstruction in relation to the January 6 riot, Politico reported.
Before Black entered the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, along with other rioters to protest the certification of the 2020 presidential election, he had been shot in the face

Once again demonstrating his race-baiting prowess, President Joe Biden in a speech on Monday honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, absurdly claimed, in effect, that car insurance is racist —by insisting black people pay higher rates than white people. “No basis for it!”, Pandering Joe™ sternly declared.
During his MLK speech, hosted by Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, as reported by Breitbart, Biden went full-metal Biden.
If you live in one of those neighborhoods and you have the same exact car I have in the other neighborhood, you pay more for your insurance than that side. No basis for it! None at all other than you’re black,

The economic facts have changed markedly since the Federal Reserve last met, in mid-December. Not only is inflation decelerating in the context of a slowing economy — the risk of a government debt-ceiling crisis as early as this summer has increased substantially.
We have to hope that at its next meeting, Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, the Fed will take note of these shifts. Maybe then it will change its mind about the need for further interest-rate increases and further large reductions in market liquidity through quantitative tightening.
If not, we should brace ourselves for an unnecessary economic recession and heightened financial-market turbulence.

Former President Donald J. Trump called out the Biden Administration Monday after the White House and Secret Service claimed that there are no guest logs from Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence, where his personal attorneys have discovered classified documents.
In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump dubbed Biden’s garage, where classified material was discovered next to his cherished Corvette Stingray last week, “flimsy” and “unsecured” before painting a contrast with Mar-a-Lago.
“Mar-a-Lago is a highly secured facility, with Security Cameras all over the place, and watched over by staff & our great Secret Service.

Conservative radio and TV host Mark Levin cut through the speculation surrounding President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal and instead reviewed the known facts to call out one federal agency in particular which he said, “lied through its teeth.” (Video) One need not be a keen observer to spot the disparity of coverage surrounding the discovery of classified documents from President Barack Obama’s administration at Biden’s former university think tank office and home compared to those raided from President Donald Trump’s Florida residence.

In a wide-ranging address in honor of Martin Luther King Day, President Biden called for cops to use deadly force as the last resort and questioned why car insurance costs more in neighborhoods with heavily black populations.
The president also insisted America needed to remember its 'abuses' in remarks at the National Action Network's MLK day breakfast at the historic Mayflower Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C.
'The idea that we're supposed to remain silent on the abuses of the past, as if they didn't occur? That's not being woke. That's being honest. That's talking about history,' the president said.

Emails from the “Laptop from Hell” in 2010 show Hunter Biden paid for home repairs on President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence, where stashed classified documents were unearthed by the president’s attorneys on Wednesday.
Hunter paid thousands of dollars for Joe Biden’s home maintenance, including a $190 per month AT&T phone bill, according to emails between Hunter and Eric Schwerin, his business partner at Rosemont Seneca.
“FYI, there are a few outstanding bills that need to be paid and I am not sure which ones are a priority and which should get paid out of ‘my’ account and which should be put on hold or paid out of the ‘Wilmington Trust Social Security Check Account,”

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is among the U.S. delegation making its way to Davos, Switzerland, for the annual World Economic Forum.
The meeting of dozens of heads of state and hundreds of government ministers has the theme "Cooperation in a Fragmented World," stressing working together as reduced economic development affects countries amid the coronavirus pandemic and war in Ukraine.
The delegation being sent by the U.S. government includes Cabinet members, senators, and House representatives, according to a release by the U.S. Embassy in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden on Monday criticized Republicans as "fiscally demented" and said the GOP's top priority legislation would worsen inflation while increasing taxes on the working class and helping the super wealthy.
"That’s how they’re starting their new term," Biden said during remarks at an event hosted by the National Action Network, a civil rights organization. "If any of these bills happen to reach my desk, I will veto them."
Biden began his comments, delivered on the federal holiday honoring the birthday of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., listing ways he said his administration has helped Black Americans, a group crucial to his 2020 election to the White House.

Former President Donald Trump is embroiled in another Deep State frame-up job, this time over classified documents. Meanwhile, His Fraudulency Joe Biden is dealing with a legitimate classified document scandal.
Before we go any further, I find all this “classified document” handwringing silly. Speaking objectively outside the t**-for-tat of partisan politics, everyone knows America goes overboard with that big, red CLASSIFIED stamp. Hey, and who can blame us? Stamping something CLASSIFIED has to feel pretty cool. Reading something stamped CLASSIFIED must feel even cooler.

Fresh off their attacks on Republicans for spending time to debate and negotiate over the leadership of and House rules for the 118th Congress, the corporate media have executed a perfectly synchronized pivot to now assailing Republicans for investigating Hunter Biden. But House Republicans, now in the majority, aren’t investigating Hunter Biden: They are investigating evidence of corruption by Joe Biden and the FBI, as well as other government actors’ efforts to run defense for the now-president, including by pressuring private companies to censor speech.
By regaining a majority in the House, Republicans now hold control over oversight committees, such as the Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Judiciary Committee,

Crooked Rod Rosenstein created the Mueller Special Counsel that was based on a lie. He kept it going for years. It was a coup of the Trump Administration and today he walks free.
Rosenstein was chosen to go on Sunday morning’s “Meet the Press” with far-left Chuck Todd to discuss the Special Counsel put in place to investigate Joe Biden’s crimes of stealing classified documents and holding them at his home and his office at Penn U.
Rosenstein says the key question is whether Biden was aware of the documents held in his possession.
