The United States Senate voted to enshrine the right to same-sex and interracial marriage into federal law on Tuesday. The Respect For Marriage Act passed on a 61-36 vote. Eleven Republicans voted with Democrats on the measure. It now heads back to the House of Representatives, where it's likely to pass the Democrat-controlled chamber swiftly enough to head to President Joe Biden's desk before the current Congressional term is over. Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin, who helped spearhead the bill, appeared emotional on the chamber floor before the final vote.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy put White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in the hot seat during Wednesday’s press briefing, asking her when the White House plans to shut down its Twitter account.
“When are you guys gonna delete the White House Twitter account?” Doocy asked simply.
“Why would we do that?” asked Jean-Pierre, seeking clarification that most people in her position probably wouldn’t need. (Video) In his clarification, Doocy referred to prior skepticism expressed in press briefings about Twitter under its current CEO, Elon Musk.
“Well, you say you’re keeping an eye on Twitter because it might not be a suitable platform. So, why use it?” he asked.
While we await Elon Musk’s promised release of the “Twitter Files,” detailing the 2020 censorship of the New York Post, he has been busy fending off threats to destroy his new $44 billion acquisition unless he drops his commitment to free speech.
He tweeted a video Wednesday afternoon of Apple’s Cupertino, Calif., headquarters, where he was strolling around the HQ pond in conversation with Apple CEO Tim Cook, whom he has accused of threatening to drop Twitter from the App Store.

The Biden administration has quietly finalized a rule allowing employers to funnel workers’ 401(k) funds into investments that support woke causes that address issues such as climate change and diversity.
The Labor Department approved the rule last week, just two days before the Thanksgiving break. It will affect roughly 150 million workers and $10 trillion in assets covered under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.
