Rep. Jamie Raskin discusses the "political contamination of the GOP by Donald Trump" and warns that a Republican majority could make the former president the Speaker of the House.
"They talk about it repeatedly. And if Trump decided he wanted to do it, it would pose a profound problem for their party," Raskin told CBS's "Face The Nation."
MARGARET BRENNAN: Election deniers didn't prevail in the key battleground, but CBS tallied it and at least 155 House Republicans in the new Congress have raised unfounded doubts about the validity or integrity of the 2020 election.

The advent of alternative media has created a whole new world when it comes to disseminating information. But not everyone is happy about this – particularly members of the activist media.
Elon Musk ruffled more than a few feathers when he took over social media company Twitter. But when he tweeted about his vision of making the platform friendlier towards average citizens participating in journalism, at least some members of the once-vaunted fourth estate took umbrage.
On Friday, Musk tweeted:
As Twitter pursues the goal of elevating citizen journalism, media elite will try everything to stop that from happening.

With the ruling D.C. establishment having successfully beaten back the midterm election challenges to their unchecked power by congressional candidates who were supported by former President Donald J. Trump, the job now turns to snuffing out the MAGA movement and, in the eyes of many, two former leaders with much in common will be spearheading the effort.
Two of Trump’s fellow White House alumni Barack Obama and George W. Bush will be holding back-to-back “democracy” conferences following the expected announcement that he will be officially declaring a 2024 presidential run, something that the corrupt uniparty appears to be determined to prevent at all costs.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that she fully supports President Joe Biden should he run for reelection in 2024.
Anchor George Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think President Biden should run again?”
Pelosi said, “Yes, I do. President Biden has been a great president for our country. He has accomplished so much. Over 10 million jobs under his leadership, working with the private sector, of course. He has just done so many things that are so great we would need a lot more show to talk about it. He’s put money in people’s pockets, vaccines in their arms, children back to school, people back to work,

A secret, unmanned US Space Force X-37B ship landed early on Saturday after spending a record 908 days in orbit, causing Florida residents to fear it was a UFO after hearing sonic booms.
The solar-powered vehicle, which looks like a miniature space shuttle, landed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center around 5.15am on Saturday after launching in May 2020 on its sixth mission. Its previous mission lasted 780 days.
Its unexpected return left some Central Floridians fearing for their life as a loud sonic boom sounded in the early morning hours and houses shook when the spacecraft returned to earth.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Republican reaction to the hammer attack on her husband Paul turned off voters.
Anchor Dana Bash said, “You alluded to this when I asked about your husband. I want to ask specifically, and point-blank about the fact that there has been such extremism, such political violence, and what happened to your husband was horrific. Do you think that that had an impact on voters as they cast their ballot?”
Pelosi said, “What I’m hearing is it wasn’t just the attack, it was the Republican reaction to it, which was disgraceful,

The GOP as we know it is 'dead' after Democrats clinched victory in the Senate with a critical win in Nevada, Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley said on Saturday night.
Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto defeated Republican challenger Adam Laxalt, who had the backing of both Donald Trump and Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, after mail-in ballots from reliably blue Clark County and also from Washoe County allowed her to narrowly overtake her rival.
Sources close to Laxalt's campaign told DailyMail.com on Friday that the GOP ex-Nevada attorney general was 'bracing for a loss' -

Did you ever wonder where all those billions of dollars were going in Ukraine? Did you ever wonder why anyone was trusting the elites in US politics like the Bidens with billions in funds going to Ukraine?
Today it turns out that these were excellent questions.
We have information that the tens of billions of dollars going to Ukraine were actually laundered back to the US to corrupt Democrats and elites using FTX cryptocurrency. Now the money is gone and FTX is bankrupt.

Tiffany Trump said ‘I do’ to her billionaire beau Michael Boulos in a magical wedding under the fading Florida sunshine this evening.
Former President Donald Trump’s youngest daughter looked resplendent in an iridescent long sleeved gown, her blonde hair styled in sleek waves and set off by diamond and peaks drop earrings. Her white veil trailed majestically behind her.
The fairytale outdoor event started at 5pm with the blissful bride walking down the aisle towards a rhododendron festooned arch - thousands of blooms in dusty pink, blue and white.
Her father - dressed like all the male guests in a black tux and bow tie

When Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart and New York Times columnist David Brooks joined PBS NewsHour host Judy Woodruff for their Friday recap of the week’s news, the natural topic of conversation was the election results. Capehart’s big takeaway was that things other than the economy, like abortion, saved Democrats while Brooks cheered the demise of populism inspired by Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Donald Trump.
After being asked by Woodruff what voters were saying on Tuesday, Capehart replied, “Simple message. Voters are trying to say, we can walk and chew gum at the same time.
