Democrats Roll Out SeniorScare™ Program

Benjamin Franklin was a man of great wisdom, but he was mistaken when he opined that nothing is certain except death and taxes. Equally inevitable is the biennial Democratic attempt to frighten elderly voters by claiming the Republicans are plotting to destroy Social Security and Medicare. This year the Democrats are particularly desperate. Thus, they have been flogging this shopworn conspiracy theory even more frantically than usual as Nov. 8 draws nigh.

My wife and I discussed this several months ago. Gee, wonder when the Democrats will say Republicans will destroy social security and Medicare? The old folks fall for this Every Time. They’ve done it every election they are projected to lose since the 1980s.

Who said this? "You can tell it's an election year because the Democrats are claiming the Republicans will take away Social Security." It was President George Herbert Walker Bush back in 1988. When the chips are down (and they most certainly are now) the dems make this claim. What the dems forget is that the elderly have long memories.

Can any Democrat name just one Republican who has publicly called for cutting Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid? Democrats are the only ones talking about it. Truth is, Biden and Democrats have already cut Social Security by allowing inflation to run rampant so money does not go as far.

Every election Democrats use that same social security/medicare scare. They also have added that Republicans will “destroy democracy” and that they want to “take away reproductive rights” and “birth control” from women. That’s desperation and I think the electorate (except for the nutcases on The View) is wise to it.

#15, Those abortion ads are all over the internet and are disgusting, but they are geared to younger people. Like this one regarding social security which is geared toward seniors, the abortion ad is a staple for younger people which very well may be effective. However, older people will not fall for democrat lies. We’ve heard it all before and understand it is just SOP to distract from failed democrat policies. I do believe that democrats would, if they could get away with it, cut social security because Seniors are a problem. We aren’t stupid. We know who democrats are and what their agenda is and we vote. They can’t alienate us, but they certainly would love to get rid of us because younger people are much easier to manipulate.

Quite frankly - - I wish the Pubbies had the guts to end Social Security. SS is nothing but a massive government-run Ponzi scheme - - which forcefully confiscates the money of hard-working people - - for their entire working lives - - then dribbles some of it back as a "benefit" - - but only if the workers live so long. If we could have avoided the confiscation - - and put our money in a stock market index fund - - we'd all have millions of dollars - - of OUR OWN MONEY - - to manage during our retirement years. "Social Security" was - - and is - - another communist scam to control our lives and our money. It is indefensible - - and should and must be ended!

Fear is the only tool that the democrats have because they certainly can't entice voters with anything good. SS and Medicare cuts for seniors, no abortion for the young, Climate Change for the gullible and higher inflation for those who are not on the government dole and must work for a living. Why Congress Can’t Refuse to Seat Santos 32 replies

The Democrats and the Fourth Estate have finally found, in congressman-elect George Santos (R-N.Y.), a Republican who is genuinely guilty of lying to the voters. Having thus discovered themselves — for once — in possession of the moral high ground, they have made the welkin ring with cries of outrage and calls for his resignation. However, if he ignores those calls, it may be difficult to stop him from being seated in the House and even harder to expel him once he takes office.

Even though companies like Johnson & Johnson are producing new meds “around the clock,” shortages could nevertheless last “into early next year.” One reason for the shortages is a spike in demand caused by the annual flu season, COVID-19, and unusually high RSV and

Of the several unwelcome revelations in the past six years, the most politically significant is that liberalism as a political philosophy is dead. Oh, there may still be some individuals who identify with it, but for the most part they are old, retired, or cowed into silence by the howling mobs of progressives, the “woke,” and the identitarian left. And how do we know this? We know it by the collapse of colleges and universities as places of open debate and inquiry. And we know it by the abandonment of any kind of honest and principled journalism by the vast majority of the legacy and social media.  CORRECTION*

For the past two years, the corporate media have earnestly assured us that, for the first time in history, we were blessed with an immaculate election in 2020. It was, we are told, unsullied by unsavory practices once thought endemic to politics. Unaccountably, however, many voters remain uncomfortable with certain curious aspects of that election. The most recent indication of this can be found in a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll that plumbed public opinion on the so-called Twitter Files.

This might not qualify as a “major announcement,” but at least it would have been taken much more seriously. Instead, the Trump campaign didn’t even “announce” this. They gave it as an exclusive to Jack Posobiec a couple of hours after Trump’s NFT launch on Truth Social. The strategic fumble is unfortunate, as this actually addresses real issues in play rather than just Trump’s compulsion for self-promotion:
