Nike co-founder Phil Knight says he will do anything to block Democrats from keeping their hold on Oregon's gubernatorial seat Saturday.
Knight, 84, has poured cash into the campaigns of Democrat Tina Kotek's opponents in the governors race. He helped to kickstart a campaign from Betsy Johnson, a former Democrat running as an independent, who is serving as a major spoiler for Kotek.
Johnson's candidacy is giving Republican Christinze Drazan the opportunity she needs in a liberal electorate no longer confident in the state's recent far-left policies.

The tide has turned. Becoming un-woke might have ramifications.
I doubt there will be less desire for the 'wokes' to have Nike items.
(I work for a big box retailer. Nike was removed from the stores. Too much of it was 'disappearing.')

Everyone, including so-called ‘woke’ corporations, have had enough of the Democrats and their soul destroying BS. This midterm election will be their comeuppance and their punishment for Pelosi and Schumer letting the Leftist lunatics and the utterly evil, incompetent Biden Administration take control of their Party. They deserve every bit of it and I pray it’s permanent.

Is this the same NIKE company that sold us out to the Chinese and supported heavily the dumbass Kaepernick? If it is the same company what a shocker! I might start buying NIKE products again -I gave personally boycotted them.

Betsy Johnson looks like a nasty woman in all the ads I have seen of her. We don't need a continuation of Kate Brown's jackboots. They must be really scared that with all the decades of practiced fraud, they are in danger of losing the governorship. Plus we might gain some republicans for congress as well.

unless Drazan takes complete control of the governing of that state, she still has to deal with the legislature which is probably made up of mostly communists, so she's got her work cut out for herself

Nike is a far left, activist company that manufactures low quality products. Their overseas factories are modern day slavery sweat shops. I have boycotted Nike for 30 years.

Ever heard of splitting the vote? This is smoke and mirrors to defeat Drazan. Drazan a fiscal and constitutional republican, Johnson a 50/50 mix mostly liberal, and Kotex a fiercely liberal dyke to outshine the outgoing Kate. Booooo on you Phil to reform our state to kitzenhopper level.

Folks in Oregon, since this means you were previously confident of Oregon's lefty ways, why the turn-around now?

Hey all, the article says Phil Knight is a co-founder of Nike. It does not give any indication that he is still affiliated with the company. So, Nike is still Nike. Don’t expect they will change.

Please excuse the second post. Just over 20 years ago, Nike marketed one dozen Tiger Woods golf balls that were packaged in a commemorative tin box. Facts about Tiger’s record breaking performances were printed on the golf ball sleeves. The retail price was $30. There was a fine print disclaimer stamped on the box that read —- Not approved for USGA play. In other words, the golf balls were fake. For this fraud, I thought Nike deserved to be heavily fined by the FTC.

One woke firm scratched from a very long WOKE list. My attention will be aroused when Coca Cola, McDonald's, BK, Wendy's, Macy's, Dicks, Walgreen's etc. see the light and apologize to the other 87% of the country.

Turnaround Oregon with Brown gone. Current Oregon's Gov. Ms. Brown is former CA Gov. Moonbeam Jerry Brown's sister. She more destructive than he.

It’s great to be woke and virtuous until something touches the bottom line.
Not too unlike what Mike Tyson once said, "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

Well gee! If I had known that Nike was going to decide try to atone for their despicable wokeness I might not have cut up my almost new Nikes before throwing them in the trash.
Now I don't know what to do.... Does my sworn oath to never buy another pair still hold?
Guess it does - Unlike our current president and JCOS generals, an oath means something!
