Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he was open to another run for the White House in 2024.
The brash-talking Garden State pol floated the idea during an appearance on “Real Time With Bill Maher,” which aired Friday, in response to an audience question on the subject.
Sure,” he said, when if he was interested.
“This show’s rubbing off on him, he’s getting very bold,” Maher said.
“Yeah, that was me, I never had the reputation of being bold. Wallflower type,” Christie shot back.
Christie ran for president in 2016, along with 16 other major contenders — all of whom were defeated by Donald Trump.

Krispie missed a golden opportunity to be in Seinfeld. He could have had a good run both as Blubber Bubble Boy and as the whale that Costanza rescued on the beach after Kramer hit a golf ball into his blowhole. President? Not so much.

Some people cannot distinguish between a smile of assent and a smile of derision. Yes, we smile at Gov. Christie's ambition. It's droll, and we titter. He'd be better suited to join the Diamond League track and field athletes as a high jumper. The world record is eight feet and a half inch by Javier Sotomayor of Cuba. With a JATO strapped to his back, Christie would soar far above eight feet, break the world record and become famous.

Of course he’s delusional, and no one wants him to run, and he wouldn’t make it past the second state’s primary, but… He’s exactly what the media would fawn over until the general. They love to prop up the one who’ll never get other than lo-fo support. Just like McCain, Romney, etc. The media loves them up till convention time, and then destroys them till November. So predictable.

it's a grift imo. He insults Trump, and instead of being rewarded with piddly appearance fees for that, he can rake in donations for it, and he gets to keep them at the end.

There really is a mental problem in D.C. politics.
The GOP is also delusional if they think they are leading anybody.
I think the dems may implode and the RINOs take their place as the second party.

Although a decent Governor, I crossed Christie off my higher office list many many years ago when he was the keynote speaker at the Republican Presidential Convention and spent his time, 90% of it, talking about Chris Christie and how proud his Mom would be. You have to be an egotist (to a degree) to want to be President, but a FOOL when you broadcast it.

#17 is winner of the day. The only reason the blowhard would run is for the donations that he will be able to keep after he loses. That makes him a bigger loser that he already is.
