In a swanky back room at the Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton, Pa., President Biden sits across from Senate candidate John Fetterman. Biden poised just so in a dark suit, a friendly tight-lipped Irish smile on his lips, Fetterman in a dusty gray hoodie and shorts, trying not to scowl. Biden chimes in, “How’s the campaign going, kid?” “It’s not about kicking balls in the authority you know.” “Just like Strom Thurmond used to say. Where is Strom by the way? Strom?” Biden looks around frantically for the politician who died in 2003.

Actual recording made by the White House's ISIS janitor-liaison: John F: I like peanut butter. Joe B: That reminds me of doing my PhD dissertation on George Washington Carver and being propelled by the Puerto Rican community that kept our lawn to invest in some raw land in South Jersey to capture the gourmet peanut butter market. With my brilliance and in spite of the Puerto Ricano's natural sloth, we made a killing. That led to me being offered the governorship of Georgia by Jimmy Carter's brother Billy. Of course I turned him down. Imagine me in a state full of rednecks and blacks. John: Did you just break wind? Joe: Doctor JIIILLL!!! Diapie check in the Oval! John: Well, did you? Joe: I think I sharted but Doctor Jill will fix me up. Jill (on the phone): Gavin, dear, I must run but I loved our special time together during your visit when Stinky II was away and I have enjoyed our sweet chat. Yes, I'm being summoned for another of Joe's episodes but don't worry, I'm saving my sheer curtain outfit just for you. Gavin, you still there...? John (chuckling and drooling): You calling Jill reminds me of Fred Flintstone, banging on the door of his cave, hollering "Willlllmaaaa!" Joe: I like SpongeBob, especially Sandy Cheeks, the darling little redneck land squirrel. I bet her fur smells good. John: Uh, that's pretty weird, even for me. I need to head out and breathe me some of that fine Pittsburg air. Jill: Oh Joe, this is such a mess I'm going to have to put you in the shower. Joe: With Ashley? John: Now that's what I'm talking about! Maybe I can stay a bit longer. and help Jill: Bye John. I'm calling a lid. Joe: Call mommy too, please. John: I'm outa here - bunch of damn freaks. Where did I put my shotgun? There may be some black men up in here I can jack up.

Queens is taking the largest share of migrants into emergency shelters set up by the city — fueling what the borough’s president on Thursday called a “powder keg” of crises and creating a “recipe for a social and economic disaster.” Queens was housing 4,782 migrants, or 32% of the total 14,777 placed in emergency shelters as of Wednesday, according to data compiled by the Department of Homeless Services and obtained by The Post on Thursday. That share is more than one-sixth greater than the 27.3% that Queens residents contribute to the city’s total population, according to 2020 census data. “It’s a powder keg in Queens at this point,”

Grocery giants Kroger KR +1.2% and Albertsons ACI +11.5% are reportedly in talks to merge. The combination of the retail giants would mean up to a 15% share of the U.S. grocery market, second only to Walmart’s WMT +0.8% 20% share. While analysts see some upside for the companies, there are many reasons why such a merger is a bad idea. Kroger is the largest full-service grocery chain in the U.S., and second only to Walmart in grocery sales, with over $130 billion in annual sales and over 2800 stores, including banners such as

Officials at the Federal Reserve and in the Biden administration are seeing promising signs that the U.S. might finally be through the worst of inflation. But don’t expect them to declare victory anytime soon. Import prices have dropped as the value of the dollar has surged. Supply chain snarls have been easing for months. Retailers have been building up their backroom store of products. All of these trends suggest that price spikes should begin to cool off. But topline inflation data has remained stubbornly high, feeding the steady drumbeat of remarks by central bank policymakers that they can’t let up yet.
