I’m A Democrat Who Thinks Biden’s
Anti-Democratic Rhetoric Has Gone Too Far

I am a lifelong Democrat. I even worked for Joe Biden at one time. Thus, nothing that has happened in America since January 2021 has surprised me. But the president’s speech in Philadelphia last week marked a new low for America and a new low for a party that I once idolized. To me, the Democratic Party was the party of hope, tolerance, and opportunity. Indeed, those themes echoed through Bill Clinton’s speeches in 1992. Clinton’s presidency was the high-water mark of the post-war Democratic Party. He blended JFK’s idealism with Reagan’s folksiness. He embodied America’s middle class, the greatest political force

FTA: "The saddest part is that most Americans want Biden to succeed. That is what drew so many of them, me included, to his campaign. They did not like the negative tone that Trump brought to the White House. They wanted compassionate, competent, bipartisan leadership, somebody with the confidence to thank Trump for his service and move on. Biden seemed the perfect fit." This paragraph shows the delusion of the writer. The only thing that Biden has ever been successful at is deceit on a grand scale. His campaign consisted of hiding in his basement or rarely speaking to 20 people in large circles. Trump's negative tone was only with the corrupt media, and they deserved it. Nobody in his right mind, viewing Biden over his 50 years of obnoxious grifting, racism and perversion, could describe him using the terms compassionate, competent, or leadership. Biden's only WH success is in elevating Obama to 2nd worst president.

The author goes on and on about what a great guy Clinton was. BS. Clinton had no values other than what the polls said. He emulated Reagan because Reagan was eminently popular. He had a compliant press provide comparisons to Kenedy because he was young. But we should never forget the Clinton secret to political success: Sincerity. Once you learn to fake that you've got it made. Bill could fake it pretty well. Hillary, not so much.

For Democrats it's all form over substance. Street loves the Democrat Party because it was the party of "hope" etc., and he adored "Bill Clinton’s speeches". Obama ran on glittering generalities of hope and change, never mind none of them knew what that meant, it made them all feel good and superior. Next up, after the party rids itself of the Biden embarrassment, will be more history re-writes and some new demagogue to cheer them all up by making fun of Trump and promising to save Mother Earth from the mean conservatives and racist white people.

"They will decide whether America moves on from the toxic, divisive Trump/Biden era" Notice the clever pairing here? The author wants to toss both Trump and Biden out. He recognizes that Biden is a loser, pairs him with Trump, and says "Let's move on.". The problem is, this is the classic bad deal offered by dems. They offer up something of little value and expect Conservatives to compromise and give up something of great value. Biden is politically worthless. The progressives are terrified of Trump because he was successful in spite of their nasty games. The collapse of media credibility is due to Trump who called them out and exposed them. Trump survived assaults that would have chased the typical politician out of office. Meanwhile, he created the best and most fair economy in 4 decades. He appointed a Conservative SCOTUS. He delivered energy independence. And so much more. The author wants us to accept a fossilized piece of donkey dung from his side and we are supposed to toss in the Hope diamond on our side. He's hoping we can't see the difference. Unfortunately, so is a lot of the Republican political machine. They are terrified that Trump would very likely win the Republican primary. If he runs, they can't stop that from happening.

Dear Mr. Street, take a little advice from a lifelong realist: it is a mistake to look at politicians of any party as capable of being the bringers of hope, tolerance, and opportunity. Politicians will say anything to aggrandize themselves and amass power and wealth for themselves and their closest kin. You are nothing but a vote and your mistake was ever believing in their nonsense. Nobody needs a political party in order to have hope or tolerance and not initiative. You have to find those things within yourself and look for others who share your priorities within your own life. Washington and state governments have promised the moon for votes. When they don’t deliver they instruct us to blame the people who vote for the other guy. It’s an insider’s game and works beautifully on saps.

There’s a perception, perhaps rooted in some reality, that Republicans have nominated a mediocre at best group of candidates — a celebrity doctor, a hillbilly-turned-author, a 1980s football star, and a millennial venture capitalist — in this year’s crucial U.S. Senate elections. As GOP candidates try to remedy their predicaments, the Democrat candidates hope to avoid being linked to President Joe Biden’s lackluster job approval ratings and keep control of the upper chamber. It’s not impossible, but results from the last few election cycles show that it’s unlikely. It’s true that FiveThirtyEight’s election model currently favors Democrats to hold the Senate in two months,

You get to evade prosecution and early morning raids by dozens of armed FBI agents at your home, like what happened to former President Donald Trump last month. And then, years later if you're Hillary Clinton, you get to rewrite history, spread misinformation to your millions of Twitter followers and not get censored or banned by Big Tech, which holds conservatives to a totally different standard than the left on its biased platforms.

In President Joe Biden’s 2007 memoir, Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics, he wrote that the late Sen. Mike Mansfield (D-Mont.) gave him the best advice he ever received: “Joe, never attack another man’s motive, because you don’t know his motive.” Judging from Biden’s increasingly belligerent speeches, he has forgotten Mansfield’s eminently wise counsel. This was rendered abundantly clear during his Thursday speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Standing before a backdrop that looked as if it had been designed by Leni Riefenstahl, he attacked the motives of half the electorate.

Joe Biden’s speech at Philadelphia’s Independence Hall on Thursday was one of the most remarkable in living memory. By “remarkable,” I hasten to add that I do not mean “good.” On the contrary, it was a breathtaking act of what the psychoanalysts call “projection,” blaming others for the bad things you do yourself. The speech itself was a malignant act of demagoguery that will have colonels and generalissimos everywhere catching their breath with envy. The neo-totalitarian stage set, replete with red lighting effects and military personal flanking the shouting, gesticulating Biden, was right out of central casting. Next time, perhaps Biden will wear epaulettes along with his signature aviators.

Since the Democrats achieved their governing trifecta in 2020, they have presided over a cascading series of domestic and foreign policy disasters while displaying transparent contempt for the Constitution. For the sake of the country, it’s imperative that some semblance of balance is restored to the elective branches of our government. The GOP must regain control of Congress in November. Accomplishing this will clearly require solidarity among Republican officials, the conservative commentariat, and the voters who endure Democratic policies. Above all, no circular firing squads.

I still think this is the likeliest Senate swing seat to go blue this fall. Dr. Oz’s favorability in numerous polls has been brutal and he’s too much of a squish to expect much by way of enthusiastic MAGA turnout. (Although getting to run on the same ballot as Doug Mastriano will help with that.) He’s also certainly going to be outspent before this race is done. But he has two things going for him. To gauge the trepidation with which the Democrats view the midterms, consider their reaction to last week’s special elections in New York’s 19th and 23rd congressional districts. They eked out a two-point win in the former and lost the latter. Yet, the Democrats and their friends in the Fourth Estate hailed the NY-19 victory as a portent of doom for the GOP in November. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared, “Republicans should be very, very, very scared this morning about their prospects.” The lady doth protest too much, to quote the Swan of Avon.

Team Biden’s student-loan “forgiveness” scheme is yet another example of a misguided and dangerous policy initiative masquerading as a public good — no surprise from an administration in which political missteps are the norm. The left is heralding the plan, which will “forgive” $10,000 for student-loan borrowers making $125,000 or less and $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients, as genuine assistance for millions of debtors. To try and head off a likely loss of the House of Representatives and prepare for the next presidential election, Democrats create situations which raise anxiety in citizens, and this increases the chances their candidate will prevail because voters know discord will then subside. An example is Kathy Griffin’s widely read statement: “If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November.
