FBI Director Christopher Wray refused to address questions Wednesday about an FBI raid of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence conducted this week but did denounce "deplorable" threats against law enforcement in his first public comments since the search in Florida. Reporters pressed Wray about the Monday raid, (Snip) Asked to respond to Trump's suggestion, Wray declined to jump into the fray. “As I’m sure you can appreciate, that’s not something I can talk about,” he said. Wray then referred such a question to the Department of Justice.

We'll probably see the Antifa/FBI pseudo Republicans dressed up in new khakis and new blue or red wind breakers and new Trump 2024 baseball caps ...all of them wearing masks and sunglasses... attacking some federal building somewhere, "justifying" a crack down on real Republicans as traitors to the democracy. I see it all so plainly.

No, Wray, you and the jack booted thugs who rifled the Trump residence are not victims. The Trump family and all patriotic Americans are victims. Release surveillance footage of the raid. Show the Gestapo tactics. Present video of the agents as they cracked open an empty safe. Allow the public to see FBI goons in the act of looting Malania’s bedroom. Americans need to understand that the FBI can do this to anyone. This abuse of power, this brutal political persecution must be stopped before there is an incendiary incident that democrats are trying to provoke. Grab a tight rein.

FTA: "Any threats made against law enforcement, including the men and women of the FBI, as with any law enforcement agency, are deplorable and dangerous," he said. This really makes me wonder if this is the opening round to give the Gestapo the authority to open fire on any conservative that does not agree with President Dementia. ''The suspect was angry and acting in a violent manner. The agent was in fear and had no choice but to defend himself.'' DO NOT trust the FBI. Gestapo.

Why the "deplorable" threats characterization as opposed to likely "progressive threats?" It may well be that progressives are hurt more than the deplorables by Wray's highly political but not unilateral action. There is no way the FBI would launch such a raid on a former president without consent by, if not at direction from, the AG and president. All else is folly.

It is helpful to think of political developments as moves on the chessboard made to advance an objective. In chess, the objective is to win the game, chess being zero-sum. Politics is like that, too, though participants often claim it's not, that they're acting for the greater good, principles at the foundation of democracy, motherhood and apple pie and all that — which is true in some cases but never if Democrats are in the game. This brings me to Attorney General Garland's claim that the Mar-a-Lago home invasion wasn't a raid at all.

One thing we must give Democrats credit for is their unity. Yes, certain members of the party such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago. Almost all notable Republicans supported Trump after the ordeal; all except for one.
