Yesterday, Senator Chuck Grassley sent a letter [pdf HERE] to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray, notifying them of whistleblower allegations from within the FBI that senior leadership in both Main Justice and FBI are involved in a coordinated effort to cover-up criminal activity related to Hunter Biden.
The whistleblower allegations, in combination with the documented history of DOJ and FBI misconduct, culminate in Senator Grassley stating:
“If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are – and have been – institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in

Perhaps this is the thin point of the wedge to get those many, many FBI and DoJ folks put in prison, not just fired.

FTA: “ The letter from Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley, despite the major allegations it contains, carries absolutely no pretense of a process for the systemic institutional corruption it outlines. Instead, the letter asks AG Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray to review their own corrupt conduct and/or do a better job of hiding their corrupt activity.”
So what is the point of Sen Grassley’s little memo? As I recall, he says and does things from time to time that make it seem like he’s on our side. And then: POOF! He’s gone.
Unless someone convinces me otherwise, he’s a Deep Stater/ Other Democrat , too.
Where am I wrong?

Grassley’s timing is good, as Garland went on TV this weekend and said he is open to prosecuting President Trump for J6 events. Grassley’s curve ball will show the political versus law bound nature of Garlands position. Public trust in the FBI and DOJ is at an all time low and Grassley’s systemic corruption findings will cast doubt on anything they say or do. One more nail in the Democrats coffin before November.

Any faith that I still had in the Justice Department and FBI died, when Comey laid out a list of Clinton's illegal activities and then declined to prosecute. Until that time, I still had faith that justice would at least be fair with the big ticket items.
I realized back in the 90's that the Justice system is reserved for those who are well connected, or can afford it.

Covering for Hunter Biden? This is Washington! Hunter's just the tip of the iceberg.

Well hells bells, Chuck Van Winkle, when did you wake up? The credibility of these agencies died long ago.

I would add complete and total corruption top to bottom is every one of the 17 secret police agencies.

Yet he showed no interest in letting Trump appoint a new AG when it became apparent Sleepy Sessions was refusing to do the job. Grassley is full of stinky manure.

Wow. Grassley finally admits it.
Years ago, a friend of mine said she noticed that her staircase had suddenly started squeaking when walked on. When she decided to check the cellar, she found those stairs worse. Then she saw iron rims on the floor... rims which had been on a wooden barrel, and the barrel had been reduced to a pile of sawdust.
They discovered termite infestation. Fortunately, they caught it soon enough to be able to save the house.
Law-breaking, which is not punished quickly and appropriately, eats away at the foundations of the legal system as a whole.
It is extremely difficult to restore Justice once is has been trampled in the streets and abandoned.
There are so many agitants gnawing away at our legal system foundations. Like my friend discovering the termite infestation in time to eradicate them, let's pray it's not too late for our Constitutional system, based as it is on Law.

In a related story, the FBI and DOJ have announced a joint investigation into finding and punishing the whistleblower detailed in Grassley's letter.
