Just 5% call abortion top concern

Abortion, the No. 1 concern in today’s media and politics, ranks nearly dead last among areas voters care about as they struggle with paying daily bills, soaring inflation, and interest rate hikes, according to a just-released survey. While the Supreme Court’s decision overruling the 1973 Roe v. Wade right to abortion has dominated today’s network and cable coverage, the latest McLaughlin & Associates poll said just 5% of voters call it a top concern. Just below abortion, at 1%, is reviewing the 2020 election, over which the media are also obsessing. By comparison, 54% cited the economy. “Only 5% said abortion was top issue. That might change a little, but not with people

The liberal/leftists seem to be only interested in what will further divide the country. Guess it is easier to control people when they are not united.

We will know in November when we see how many Democrats this issue saves (if any). It may not be number 1, but it is high in many people's priorities.

Everything the leftists want is only supported by 5% or less of the population. The media puffs them up to look larger than life, it’s propaganda! Alternative media sources are educating the masses and this is why the left says everything is “Disinformation”. They are losing their arguments.

Abortion is an issue that actually touches few people but riles many on both sides, liberal and "conservative". Five percent seems about right. It's not that people may not have an opinion, but that abortion "rights" simply don't affect daily lives.

The MSM is in the 5%, which is why there appears to be an outrage. As the Economy worsens that number will lessen.

Does this abortion ruling lower the price price of gasoline or stop the rise in inflation? Inflation? Well, maybe the cost for an abortion in will go up but the underlying sickness of the economy under FJB remains. The Democrat's only hope is fraud on an industrial scale in vote counting. FJB recently said as much. Elections are no longer trustworthy. ABC News seems to think the Democrats will actually pick up a few house seats. Now, why would a MSM outlet say that unless they had inside information?

How many abortions does anyone have in a typical year? A voter will go to the grocery store and gas station several times per month, at least.

Maybe it’s just me, but abortion has always been my #1 issue. I believe that any politician who is on the wrong side of something as basic as human life is probably wrong on everything else. I spent nine years trying to get pregnant and finally succeeded through in vitro fertilization. I was carrying twins and I lost one at 8 weeks and one at 16 weeks. The second miscarriage almost killed me too. You don’t go through an experience like that and come out of it believing that it’s OK to kill the unborn. I was pro-life before that pregnancy, but the experience made it deeply personal. A year later, we adopted a 22 hour old baby girl whose birth mother was Catholic and the word “abortion” was not in her vocabulary. That baby has now given us two amazing grandchildren. People never think about it, but when you kill your child, you are also killing your grandchildren, your great grandchildren and on and on and on.

President Biden on Sunday lashed out at reporters who asked if he regretted his fist bump with Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, who approved the 2018 operation that killed journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to U.S. intelligence assessments. “Why don’t you guys talk about something that matters?” Biden told the reporters at the White House after returning from Saudi Arabia. “I’m happy to answer a question that matters.” The fist bump received widespread criticism as a sign that Biden was cozying up to Saudi leaders. Biden previously vowed to make Saudi Arabia “the pariah that they are”

As Ed described earlier today, President Biden is taking some heat for his fist bump with Mohammed Bin Salman. So much for Saudi Arabia being a “pariah state.” But after the fist-bump Bidedn and MBS held a private meeting, meaning there were no cameras in the room. Team Biden, perhaps trying to soothe some of the people upset about the fist bump, is claiming that Biden confronted MBS about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. President Biden said Friday night that he brought up the murder of Jamal Khashoggi during his closed-door meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and told the prince that he considered him to blame.

Joe Biden has often tried to pretend he’s a tough guy who’s not to be messed with. During the 2020 campaign, he humorously claimed that Putin didn’t want him to be president because he was the only candidate who’d ever “gone toe-to-toe with him.” Biden has similarly talked a lot of tough talk about Saudi Arabia and even called the Saudi kingdom a global “pariah” due to its poor human rights record and the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018. And then, of course, he went over to Saudi Arabi this week, fist-bumped with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), and maybe even had a little sleepover, for all we know.

Joe Biden once dreamed of an FDR-size domestic-reform agenda. But the collapse of negotiations in Congress on the compromise of the compromise of that agenda will ensure he achieves nothing of the sort — not Roosevelt-size, not Obama-size, nor even Clinton-size. (Bill Clinton managed to increase taxes on the rich, expand the Earned Income Tax Credit, and create a health-care benefit for poor children.) In addition to losing its chance to address any domestic social need in an enduring way, the administration is also having imperiled its global leadership on climate change and a global corporate minimum tax, two measures that hinged on Biden getting
