Former President Donald Trump renewed his attacks on his former vice president on Friday, dismissing Mike Pence as a 'human conveyor belt' for failing to reject what he said were fraudulent votes in the 2020 election.
It came at the end of a week that revealed more evidence of the way he and his allies tried and failed to persuade Pence to overturn the result.
The House January 6 committee released testimony of a White House official saying that Trump called Pence a 'wimp.'
Trump tore into the hearings as a 'show trial' in his most sustained attack on the committee since it began its investigation

If the Vice President really had that kind of authority we would have had Algore as President back in 2001.

Perhaps Trump should have been more careful with his key administration personnel choices. I've found it tough to read about Trump badmouthing people that he put into their positions, like Sessions, Barr, and Pence or failed to remove those bad apples that he "inherited" from Obama, like Fauci.

I wish Trump would lay off Pence.
I know he was deeply disappointed when Pence went through with certifying the crooked election, but he is not helping himself by knocking on the man.
That is Trumps biggest problem. Not knowing when to shut up.

Thumbs-up to PDJT for taking an outspoken stand against woke gender nonsense.

Be careful using the tone and description of events from the Daily Mail. Pence and Ryan advised him on who to pick and Pence and McConnell told him he had to pick judges from their list. There were no reliable agents to help him, and as we know now, the biggest saboteurs came from the Republican Party Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy etc. In DC you can pick somebody but if Turtle Head McConnell won’t confirm them in the senate your screwed. We need MAGA top to bottom to fix this wreck. Looks like we have some folks here who hated mean tweets.

I reject the spin that Trump demanded that Pence overturn the election results. Trump merely asked him to have the results reviewed to determine that only legal votes were counted. The weasel Pence, or his no haired Chief of Staff Marc Short with a big rear, are not getting away with shirking their duty with this spin.

If Donald Trump respects the rule of law, he'll stop harping on this. It just makes him seem like a would-be dictator.

People seem to forget, there were several states that asked congress NOT to accept the slate of electors they had previously sent, LOTS of Congresscritters that voted against confirming the slate count presented. "Until some investigation was completed to establish a Legal/legitimate/Confirmable Count", 20 states had signed on to a lawsuit to delay the procedure until investigations were initiated and completed.
Pence could have simply said "Under these circumstance I respectfully decline to attend this event", it would have been a tough and unusual call, but ...Legal....and the "Investigation" of votes would have been completed quickly, instead of still not being seriously attempted by official channels.
Not a SINGLE "Irregularity" revealed has been covered by any media, nor any Govt agency...they all repeat the mantra..."Not enough to change the outcome". Yet on the state level many states have specifically written into NEW LAW that the election departures from normal legislated election process can NEVER be repeated. Hence were unlawful when done.

Judas Pence completely ignored the pleas of all those states who wanted to delay this certification in order to recount the ballots among other things. Judas Pence thinks that blaming one of his aides is going to make us forget what he did to this nation. Not. A. Chance.

Do you want a repeat of him ruthlessly attacking his own cabinet? I dont want to relive the drama. I love Trump but he has a serious flaw.

DM is unreliable....I heard Trumps speech yesterday. He did Not trash Pence, denied calling him a wimp, called him a nice guy, ask why are they trying to pass a law to prevent VP's from certifying or not certifying electoral count if it's not currently in force, stated he did not ask Pence to change anything but to contact state legislators. He also said the J6 committee had typical 17 pages of testimonies & only released selected one line got- ya sentence. I suggest you quit trashing Trump unless you hear or see it for yourself. What a mess ...DM is worse than CNN. Trump was new to DC & relied on permanent politicians to assist him making cabinet & VP choices...some good some bad! I have a feeling if he is re-elected he will make better choices!!!

Honestly, by Jan 6, the fix was in. There wasn't much VP Pence could do. The courts refused to hear ANY challenge to the results, even when a number of states blatantly violated existing election laws and as we've since learned, sold their elections offices for "Zuck Bucks." Pres. Trump deserved the same opportunity that Algore had to challenge the results.
The deep state effectively denied that opportunity. It took four years and a Chinese-supplied plague that killed over 1 million Americans, but their coup finally succeeded.
