Vance is opening up more of a lead in the OH Senate primary. I don't know for sure which Republican is the strongest statewide. Tim Ryan on the Dem side won't be a pushover in November.

DeWine's splitter strategy worked. He should, at least, get fitted for non-whistling dentures.

Neocon and rabid anti-Trumper Bill Kristol took to Twitter on Monday to suggest Democrats recruit left-wing pop star John Legend to replace President Joe Biden in 2024, calling the “So High” singer “our version of [Ukraine President Volodymyr] Zelensky.” “I’ve been saying for a while that we need as our next president our version of the admirable Volodymyr Zelensky,” Kristol wrote. “Today I got another ‘personal message’ — i.e., mass e-mail — from @johnlegend on behalf of Democrats.” “Which leads me to ask: When Biden steps aside — John Legend in 2024?” the political commentator added.

There are few RINOs who have been hit harder with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) than Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), save perhaps Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY). Cheney, as we've been covering for some time now, given her standing in the polls, is likely to lose her seat to Trump-backed primary challenger, Harriet Hageman. Kinzinger is retiring, after Illinois state Democrats pretty much redistricted his seat out of existence. While speaking to CNN's Jim Sciutto on Friday, following yet another public hearing from the January 6 Select Committee from the night before, Rep. Kinzinger claimed that nobody would admit to voting for or supporting former President Donald Trump in 10 years,

Attorney General Merrick Garland is set to appear for a rare TV interview Tuesday at a time of intense scrutiny for the Justice Department. At least two major investigations are underway that could be areas of focus when Garland is questioned by NBC News anchor Lester Holt. One is the far-reaching Jan. 6 investigation, which appears to be reaching beyond people facing charges for participating in the Capitol riot, extending to former President Donald Trump and his inner circle. (Snip) The other is the investigation into President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, as prosecutors weigh charges for alleged tax violations and for making a false statement

On Monday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot proposed a $900 million to $2.2 billion Hail Mary offer to convince the Bears to stay in their home stadium of over 50 years. However, the Chicago Bears stated in a press release earlier this month that they wouldn’t consider any other offers, even for their home stadium, Soldier Field. The NFL team reaffirmed that sentiment to ESPN this week, noting that they were set on moving to another location over 30 miles away. “As part of our mutual agreement with the seller of that property, we are not pursuing alternative stadium deals or sites, including renovations to Soldier Field,

That came as part of a long riff on Schiff, Pelosi, and her husband, saying: “We don’t talk about what we should be and you say, ‘Where does it stop? Where does it all end?’ It probably doesn’t stop because despite the great outside dangers. Our biggest threat remains the sick and sinister and very evil people from within our country. “Guys like [Rep. Adam] Schiff and people like crazy Nancy Pelosi — she’s nuts.

The leak rocked the federal judiciary, the American political scene, and led to an ugly campaign to intimidate Supreme Court justices, inspiring one assassination plot that thankfully went nowhere. Chief Justice John Roberts promised an investigation to identify the leaker, and the pool of suspects seemed relatively small — the justices themselves and their clerks. Almost three months later, though, the leaker has seemingly escaped detection and punishment. Are they even still investigating the leak? The Associated Press can’t even get an answer to that question from the court:
Bipartisan electoral reform is possible 14 replies

It is still unclear what exactly Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Jan. 6 committee is trying to accomplish, but a bipartisan group of 16 senators proved this week the body’s work is not necessary to reach real, productive, commonsense electoral reform. Negotiated by Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Joe Manchin (D-WV), the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act is perhaps most praiseworthy for what is not in it. Specifically, all of the highly partisan and harmful provisions of the Democrats' preferred electoral legislation — The For the People Act, which would have banned voter identification requirements, among other things — have been removed from this bill.

Brandon just got back from his trip to beg the sheiks of Saudi Arabia to pump more oil to keep prices lower for American consumers, a trip made more ridiculous even than it sounds at first glance thanks to Biden’s heated, anti-Saudi rhetoric, his administration’s hostility to American energy producers, and the lack of any reason for the Saudi’s to go along with what Biden wants given his attempts to strike a deal with Iran and the fact that they make more money when prices are higher. And, unsurprisingly, it doesn’t really appear to have worked. The Saudis will do as they please, particularly when Biden is

So badly that now even avowed leftist Noam Chomsky is describing the current, anti-Russian censorship regime as being worse than the censorship regime in the Soviet Union. That comment came when Chomsky appeared in a recent interview with Russell Brand on his podcast, “Under the Skin,” a podcast in which Brand routinely demolishes, or at least attacks, the totems and shibboleths of the modern liberal world order. The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling for the end of private car ownership in the name of saving the world from climate change by reducing the need for green tech resources. “We need a clean energy revolution, and we need it now,” the WEF begins its article. According to the WEF, critical metals, such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel — all of which are used in “clean energy technologies” — are in short supply. And while the WEF says recycling old tech that uses these metals could lessen the impact of shortages, it’s simply not enough. “The complication is that we do not currently have enough metals in in circulation

It offers almost 330 miles of combined driving range with its first edition and can go from 0-to-60 mph in as little as 3 seconds, according to the company. “Leveraging GM’s advanced technology, this demonstration will prove to our U.S. Army customer

President Joe Biden said Monday that Republicans who voted against banning assault rifles are not on the side of police in America. Speaking virtually to attendees at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference in Orlando, Florida, Biden said that Republicans who refused to ban so-called “weapons of war” are not telling the truth when they claim to support law enforcement. In particular, Biden called out Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott (R-FL) for refusing to support Democrats’ gun control efforts. “Being a cop today is a hell of a lot harder than it’s ever been,” Biden said during his speech.

Don’t go, Boss! That’s my strong advice to President Trump as he prepares to deliver a speech in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday at his alleged “think tank,” the America First Policy Institute (AFPI). Yes, it is important for President Trump to have a well-credentialed stable of policy experts capable of both building a 2024 platform and finding solid MAGA talent to populate a new Trump Administration. But the AFPI Trojan Horse—whose leadership is now bragging about how it will staff Trump’s “shadow cabinet”—is decidedly not that.

Author Jeffrey Frank has written two biographies of American presidents, one about Harry S. Truman and another about the relationship between Dwight D. Eisenhower and his Vice President Richard Nixon. He draws on that knowledge of history to argue that President Biden is doing a poor job preparing VP Harris to succeed him. Vice President Kamala Harris, who was a first-term senator from California before entering the White House, hasn’t been given the sort of immersive experiences or sustained, high-profile tasks that would deepen and broaden her expertise in ways Americans could see and appreciate. In the modern era, of course, a 68-day trip for a vice president would be laughable.

In addition, Biden could reportedly face charges regarding tax violations and lying about illegally buying a firearm. Breitbart News reported Wednesday: The probe, which has been ongoing for years and debated for months among Justice Department officials, also centers on the Biden family’s foreign business schemes while Joe Biden was vice president.
