ALEXANDRIA, Va. – In summer 2017, when Ann Bonitatibus walked through the front doors of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology as its new principal, she came with a mission to turn the top-rated school upside down. For her, that meant flipping the school’s racial demographics. At the time, 7 of 10 students came from Asian immigrant families, two of 10 from white families, and one of 10 students came from black, Hispanic, and multiracial families.(snip) after George Floyd’s killing, Bonitatibus emailed our mostly minority, immigrant families, telling us to check our “privileges,” expressing her shame at our “Colonials” mascot, and .

Welcome to the south since the '60's. I often tested for government jobs and always scored well. The HR person called me once and said I made one of the highest grades on one test but I'd be down the line on hiring lists because I was white. She didn't mince any words.

Race to the bottom continues. Abilities are now meaningless. Only skin color matters.
We are so shafted

Doing well in school is the mark white supremacism. Academic achievement is racist.

They have declared that a 4.0 average is so terribly white privilege. Its like showing up for class and having done the homework assignment.

This has been the dirty little secret of affirmative action since the very beginning - it sets minorities up to fail. Admit students based on their melanin content and not their intelligence, abilities and other qualifications and then act shocked when they can’t keep up and inevitably drop out. Not only is it stupid, it’s damaging to those who can’t cut it. They would have been much better off in a school where they were qualified. But none of that matters because we must punish whitey and Asians.

OK, how many people would hire a heart surgeon who got through med school only because they were in a preferred group rather than because of competence?

It's ok, there's a whole industry that props up the unqualified, long term employment for many.

They will not provide a usable EDUCATION to students, but will instead teach them to be queer. So when all these queer snowflake adults are in the workplace nobody will be able to DO ANYTHING, thereby requiring H1B visas to be written up like effing candy...bringing in more Indians & CHINESE.
Bye-bye Miss American pie...

Ages ago, I tutored some college students who were admitted because of their skin color. They came from horrible schools in the inner-city. These students never read a book in their lives, and it was obvious from their vocabulary - or lack thereof. Read the first sentence; look up two words. Read the sentence again and try to figure out the meaning of it. Read the next sentence; pull out the dictionary again. Rinse and repeat through the whole paragraph. Re-read the whole paragraph, and see how many words they remembered. They couldn't read a page in a hour's time, so how were they expected to keep up with the course? They couldn't, and they were never expected to.

That is the same story as what happens in colleges, too, unless they get free A's for being black.

No matter what you do for a living you must educate yourself in that field. If you want to be a banker then get a finance degree, if an electrician, then make sure that you get the proper schooling in order to do the job right. This is the answer to everything, education. Whatever you do make sure you train yourself so that you can be the best at what you do.

We had a pleasant young black engineer hired into one of our engineering groups at work many years ago. A nice, smiling, well spoken young man. After about a month or six weeks, he came to me to discuss some assistance. Since I was basically an in-house consulting engineer, that was normal. After listening to him for a while, it became clear that he was proposing for me to do his job. I explained that if he had a technical problem, or a difficulty with a manufacturing process going awry, I could help him to identify the problem, and develop the most effective technology fix. But I did not do his project management job.
After he left, I called a close friend who worked in the same group as Ricky. I started off with "Hey, Ricky G***** came by to visit today." and my friend broke up laughing out loud for about 20 seconds. He finally calmed down and said, "Did he try to get you to do his job, TOO?"
I said " Well, yeah, pretty much."
More laughter. "He's been trying to get us to do his job for weeks. He wants to "supervise" - but not do any real work."
We had a nice discussion.
Ricky was the Valedictorian at Prairie View A&M in Texas, one of those historically black colleges. Apparently he had a lot in common with Maynard G. Krebs.....a severe work allergy. He wanted to "supervise".
Ricky "left the company, was going for a new opportunity" later than same year. I was never able to find out if he actually knew any engineering....he never did a day's real work, as far as I could tell.
Beware of valedictorians from HBCs.

In 1980, my wife went into labor for our second child. The anesthesiologist messed up giving her an epidural. After prodding and probing several times, he gave up and she had to deliver naturally. Afterwards, the first thing that came into my mind was “affirmative action,” because he was black.

Yep hiring due to skin color is wrong and everyone knows it, that's why the Commies keep pushing it!
