John Catsimatidis, the billionaire owner and CEO of New York City supermarket chain Gristedes, urged Americans to "buy" now because food inflation will only get much worse. (SNIP) "I've seen price increases coming through for the month of March. I've seen them coming through April and May. Between price increases and shrinkflation -- where it used to be 32 ounces, now it's going to be 28 ounces – it's anywhere from a 12 to a 20% increase in food prices," Catsimatidis told Brian Kilmeade on "Fox & Friends," Tuesday.

Don’t worry, our congress critters just gave their “offices” a 21% raise, so they’re all set. The rest of us can eat cake (hat tip to Marie Antoinette).

I might be a little delusional at this point in time with everything that is happening in our country and in Eastern Europe but, and to be perfectly honest, 1.) I did not think we would ever see a military confrontation of this magnitude, happening (period). I thought the world had had enough of that juvenile stuff and had moved on but, commie's don't play by any rules and scoff at those who do and 2.) the economic inflationary situation in our country is abominable and is far beyond the limits of reasonableness and sanity and to make matters much, much worse, could have been prevented and never materialized in the first place had this babbling, bumbling buffoon (and you know who I mean, I just can't bring myself to say the name except to call him diapers) only set aside politics and thought more about helping us instead of punishing us but commies don't think like us, that is why we must eliminate the comminist element in our federal, state and local levels as soon as possible.

Stock up while there is still pasta on the shelves. Russia and the Ukraine are responsible fo 50% of the world's wheat production. The Chicoms have bought up any wheat surplus and slack produced by the world. Shrinkation is also occuring along with inflation. Pepperidge Farm cookies used to have 10 cookies per bag. There are now 8. FJB has fubar'd America in ways you will find out.

My husband's cousins are farmers, primarily wheat. Months ago they warned us to start stocking up and we've listened to their advice. Kitchen shelves are filled with dried pasta, oatmeal, rice, beans ... it's early covid days all over again.

Remember when Nixon had the price freeze in the 70's? A lot of things were not available until they were re-named and re-priced. Remember when Johnny Carson asked if toilet paper would be the next shortage. Everyone rushed out to buy TP. (I started hoarding TP in 2015. I had fears that BO would declare martial law and cancel the 2016 election.)

We began stocking up when COVID scam was going on. We realized if the government could do THAT to us and get away with it, we better fasten our seat belts. The thing not getting enough attention is everyone start that Victory Garden. Stocked up pantries are super great but everyone can grow lettuces, radishes, tomatoes, etc. You will need fresh greens and fresh veggies too.

What is going on with this guy? He was supposed to address the nation on the crisis in Afghanistan two hours ago. Now, it says he will read the teleprompter at 4:30 PM—a full four-and-a-half hours later than originally scheduled. Was there a tantrum? Did he need a nap? We have Americans that are stranded. They’re being beaten by the Taliban. US passports are also reportedly being seized by the Taliban as well. And where is Biden? Where is he hiding? Only a Democrat would be this late addressing the chaos where our citizens are in the line of fire. Why are they so bad at this?

Just nearly two months after earning national attention for mass power outages during Texas’ winter storms, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which controls the flow of electricity in the state, fears it may soon enter “emergency conditions.” On Tuesday, ERCOT announced that high generator outages that are typical for the month of April coupled with “higher-than-forecasted” demand caused by a stalled cold front have led to the condition. The council says it doesn’t expect customer outages and that declaring an emergency would allow it time to access additional resources. Nevertheless, ERCOT is asking customers and businesses to conserve electricity use into Tuesday evening.

Over the past year, Gov. Greg Abbott has promised to punish cities and counties in Texas that “defund police,” though details of his plan remained unclear — until now.  Abbott’s office worked with Rep. Craig Goldman, a Fort Worth Republican, on legislation that would financially punish local governments that reduce a law enforcement agency’s budget, funding for overtime, funding for training and recruitment, or the number of officers it employs.House Bill 1900 would “ensure that no other cities follow Austin, Minneapolis, and Seattle down the path of defunding the police, which serves no purpose other than making their citizens less safe,” a spokesperson for the governor told KXAN.
