How Gov. Greg Abbott plans to punish

Over the past year, Gov. Greg Abbott has promised to punish cities and counties in Texas that “defund police,” though details of his plan remained unclear — until now.  Abbott’s office worked with Rep. Craig Goldman, a Fort Worth Republican, on legislation that would financially punish local governments that reduce a law enforcement agency’s budget, funding for overtime, funding for training and recruitment, or the number of officers it employs.House Bill 1900 would “ensure that no other cities follow Austin, Minneapolis, and Seattle down the path of defunding the police, which serves no purpose other than making their citizens less safe,” a spokesperson for the governor told KXAN. Couldn't happen to a nicer city than my home town of Austin, or as it's affectionately called 'Pyongyang on the Colorado'

Love the Annexit proposal. Talk about drying up the tax base! Soon these cities will be in the Detroit rot mode of poor tax base, quota elected city councils and eventual decimation of the cities.

Very nicely done. I particularly like the ban on raising utility rates so they can't make up the funds. The lame response from the SpokesWoke from the City of Austin complained of the defunding for "family violence" victim shelters and a "science!" lab. Note to Self Regarding the term "family violence": Term was formerly "domestic violence". Nice turn of the phrase to make "family" equal to "violence". Another pebble in the shoe of truth.

I like these new provisions. I would only ask that Gov Abbott pass legislation reminding corporations that it is a privilege to do business in the State of Texas, and if they do not follow the laws of this requiring no mask, that the privilege will be removed. I ask the Governor to enforce his ruling on the cities and corporations in this state. Also, we have not seen any action on ERCOTT. Please clean that mess up with a vacuum cleaner. Thank you.

I unfortunately live in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Austin. A city full of rich limousine lie-berals who elect Communist nutcases to the city council and mayor's office. So now we have skyrocketing crime (since the defunded the police) and homeless people legally allowed to camp anywhere (with all its resulting feces in the streets and harassed women who can't walk alone for fear of being attacked by these insane campers) -- all with massively high property taxes to pay for all their Communist programs!!!! Hopefully the governor can get the police funding back, and we can vote to end this homeless during the special election in April. But I wouldn't count on anything. So many of those limousine lie-berals also live in gated communities, so they aren't bothered by the homeless invaders. That is just for us peasants!!!!

Absolutely great news. Of course, strict enforcement will be key and will be the politically sticky part. God speed to the Governor and let’s hope this is as good as it sounds.

Time Magazine has published intricate details of what they deem “a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans.”
The article even confirms both The National Pulse’s reporting on former Obama lawyer Ian Bassin, as well as Revolver.news’s assertion of the involvement of Norm Eisen in what amounted to a major admission of a globalist set up to leverage the coronavirus, mail-in voting, and corporate interest to oust President Trump from office.
The Death of Civic Nationalism 4 replies

For as long as anyone can remember, to be a conservative meant embracing what is today known as civic nationalism. This is a form of nationalism that champions the traditional liberal values of individual liberty, equality before the law, tolerance of cultural diversity, and individual rights. Unlike old-school European nationalism, civic nationalism is divorced from biology. As Ben Shapiro would put it, nations are just ideas. In fact, there is growing suspicion that civic nationalism was always a lie. It was a way to keep middle-class whites from seeing who was subverting their society and corrupting their culture.

Perhaps stupid is not the right word. Gullible is not right either. It's really hard to pinpoint the main reason behind the disastrous state of our country but the cold hard fact is that many Americans have fallen for two of the biggest hoaxes perpetrated by the left , the media and corrupt politicians. It's too simple to blame the voters of any particular party when the main culprits are the individuals who just can't be bothered with politics. They don't want to get involved so they don't vote yet they complain when their taxes go up or their civil rights are taken away

CEO Ed Bastian offered his assessment of the new Georgia law in a memo sent to employees less than a week after Delta officials joined other corporate lobbyists to shape the final version of a sweeping measure that could make it harder for some Georgia citizens to cast ballots.

Cities such as Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Portland, Ore., and Austin, Texas, have shifted funds from police departments to social services programs. Such cuts have led some departments to lay off officers, cancel recruiting classes or retreat from hiring goals.
