Political prognosticator Larry Sabato has been gazing into his crystal ball at the University of Virginia for 20 years and has seen it all — the Democratic wave of 2008, the GOP tsunami of 2010, and smaller gains and losses from both parties.
But Sabato looked at all the factors affecting this year’s midterm election — redistricting, Biden’s unpopularity, GOP messaging — and has concluded that the Republican battle cry for 2022 should be “Drive for 35” — winning a net of 35 seats would give the GOP 248 seats in the next Congress. It would be the largest majority the Republicans have held since the Great Depression.

As a conservative, I find surprisingly little comfort in this news.

I cannot discount the ability of the national Republican party (aka RINOS) to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I have no illusions about how the Republicans will govern if they win, but I will enjoy watching Nancy and Chuck being knocked off their high perches.

The problem with power and the Republican Party is they never know what to do with it. They put in charge the same old “my turn” Republicans and they start reaching across the aisle. Newt was probably the last congressional leader we had and likely ever will have. All they have to do is defend the Constitution and the laws of the land and they will never lose another election. Unfortunately when it comes to many Republicans, cowardice has become the coin of the realm.

I don't trust sabato. He is a leftist wonk. He has revealed himself as a tool of the democratic party.

I want to be optimistic about Steve Bannon's smash-mouth 100 seats, 100 years, but....they're Republicans. The only thing they should reach across the aisle with is a leaded bat.

Won't make a bit of difference.
The uniparty may let the Rs take a turn, but we end up with the same end results.

Republicans need to quit trying to be gentlemen and ladies. Put their foot on the throat of dim-0s and grind.

I feel much like the other commentators here - so we have a Republican sweep - and then what? Republican Congress or not, three more years of Brandon and the US (along with Eastern Europe, Taiwan, etc.) will be unrecognizable. Republicans need to actually stand up for something. Both Biden and Harris should be impeached and removed from office. But then do we get a RINO speaker of the house as president? If they can’t muster this, then virtually every weaponized federal agency needs to be shut down. Will a Republican Congress vote to eliminate their budgets? Most of academia needs to be defunded. Brandon, his puppeteers, academia and most of the federal bureaucracy are at war with the American people, they believe the USA is the root of all evil in the world and that they have the right to rule us. It really is that bad, the last five years have revealed much. RINO business-as-usual will not turn this back, and we can’t survive if it’s not reversed. It may be too late anyway.

Too many of the lifelong Republicans have the same monetary and sex scandal skeletons in their closets as the scummy Rats. Only difference is, the Rats will run to their media allies and have the scandals run as nonstop news for weeks on end. I truly believe this happens all the time with the spineless R's. Those that don't have any scandals are attacked by the media with the usual racist or any number of the 'phobes' the crazy Rats spew daily. Democrats are destroying America.

What will they do with all that power? That's one question. Another question is what will we do about those who betray US? We need a plan that goes beyond vote them out; that takes too long. Brandon has almost killed America in one year. President Trump had the country soaring only to see brandon roll back everything he did in a few months! We can't play games with these people; they need to be harshly and swiftly dealt with. My favorite term for it is dragging.

Maybe we should consider the Dominion Machines and destroy all of them first.

Genius Larry would not dare factor in the cheating element since it blows all of the positive factors out of the water. Poll watchers have no clue of what and how the Dominion machines are doing. Many states bought batches of new machines and will not be dumping them this soon.

Never underestimate the Rebooblican capacity to snach defeat from the jaws of victory. Yeah, they'll take Congress, but THEN what will they do? Do they have any idea what to do once in power????

Two predictions:
1. The GOP will take the House and Senate.
2. They will accomplish absolutely d**k.
