Save the Children, Fire the Teachers Unions

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 1/11/2022 4:32:57 AM

It started in Chicago, where an incredible 91% of union teachers voted to go on strike and refused to do what they get paid to do, which is teach. Then the union walkouts spread to Maryland, New Jersey and California. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a liberal Democrat, has attacked the Chicago teachers unions for "holding kids hostage." She is right. Why doesn't she call a state of emergency and disband the union to save the children from the union terrorists? Or tear up the contract because the unions have violated it? If she did, she would be a hero.

Comments:

To the commiecrats everything is "for the children"…until it isn’t.

More and more info is coming out about the skewed covid statistics. Numbers in all categories way too high. Misinformation galore from the elite to the peons. We have been in school all school year. We are fine. We know what we need to do and are doing it. The teachers should be fired. They are losing their porn covid control and losing their minds in the process. If they are that scared find another job. Stupid is never a good look and these people are stupid. Time to open the school library. Ohhhh, I am so scared. Not!

Citizens should vote to reduce tax dollars going to schools, since their number of students is down and their teachers won't work.

I would be shocked if Lori L does anything other than run her Mouth! SHE has no doubt accepted lots of donations from the Teacher's Union, so, she can't do much else! The Teachers should be fired, but who does that? They also should not be PAID if they are not showing up! Someone needs to step up in Chicago and get the Ball rolling! I don't know if this a State Wide STRIKE or just a Chicago thing, but either way, it needs to be stopped today!!

And the teachers, administrators, education professors, and anyone else associated with education. The whole system is corrupt. Public schools, all of them, everywhere, are child abuse. Yes, all of them, including the one you work for, pay taxes too, or wrongfully let your child attend.

Where unions hold industry-wide leverage, they use it. Think all those airline cancellations are truly because of "illness" or "weather" or some other "act of God" excuse. You can bet that the pilots and flight attendants unions are putting the heat on the airlines, and what better way than to disrupt business nationwide in this age of hub-and-spoke scheduling? Teachers have school systems by the goobers. They still play the overworked/underpaid sob sister act when hauling in six figures for nine months work when all is tallied up. They're not living off those apples left on their desks anymore. (Spare me the "My daughter is a teacher" stories. I'm married to one.) Who elects school boards? Why, we do. Why are school boards populated by union symps? Why is curriculum now propaganda? Why, the community voted for it. Anyone here filing for school board elections?

If you don't show up for work, you should be fired, union or not. I seem to remember Pres. Reagan being told he couldn't fire the air traffic controllers because of their union. Look how well that worked for them.

"more than 90% of the tens of millions of campaign dollars donated by the teacher unions go to Democrats." This has been going on since the days of Jimmy Hoffa and mob control of the Teamster's Union. What a racket, collect money by stealing a portion of millions of workers' salaries and use it for political influence to buy any office you want. I was involved in fighting the PSEA twenty five years ago and quickly learned that I had nowhere near the money and resources I needed to win that battle. It's the same today. Many of us have been disillusioned and disgusted with school teachers for decades. Now that they have dropped their masks (pun intended) we all know why we have hated them for so long. They rank right up there with journalists because they hold the relatively same level in their class at college - dead last. A famous saying tells us that unions only help the bottom ten percent of the workforce. What more proof do we need?

For years, liberal Karens have advised me that my birth and social-group membership mean I am incapable of understanding people of other groups, e.g., "You can't understand what it's like to be black." OK. For the record: Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, is a childless lesbian.

Supreme Court Does Joe Biden's Dirty Work

Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for companies with 100 or more employees officially went into effect on Monday and companies are scrambling to figure out how to force employees to comply. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is sitting on its hands, refusing to rule, and compelling employers to enforce Biden’s totalitarian mandate. On December 15, 2021 a three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the lower Louisiana federal court only had the authority to block the mandate in the 14 states that had actually filed suit

There is a real possibility that the European Union (EU) will endure major fuel shortages this winter. Record-high electricity prices are currently the norm with no end in sight. Russian president Vladimir Putin astutely understands that the EU heavily relies on Russian natural gas, which the Nord Stream 1 and now 2 (NS2) natural gas pipeline will provide. This $11 billion line to the German coast spanning 764 miles under the Baltic Sea will double the capacity of Russian natural gas and be used as a geopolitical leverage point against Ukraine, Poland, NATO, the EU, and most of all Germany, the largest economy in the EU.

Most Americans today have a romanticized (and extraordinarily narrow) historical understanding of the conflict that we call the Civil War. In their imaginations, it goes something like this: With passions inflamed by a moral renaissance in the North regarding the institution of slavery in the South, the two sides decided to go to war over the issue. In the end, the evil South was righteously razed by the armies of the North, and thus, slavery was ended, and the former slaves made American citizens, as Abraham Lincoln intended.
There’s A Reason No One Likes Kamala Harris 38 replies

Most people look at the choice of Kamala Harris for Vice President and scratch their head. “Why would anyone pick a person so wildly devoid of political talent or even the basics of likability?” they wonder. The conventional wisdom is that she checked the right number of boxes to fulfill left-wing interest group demands, which is partially true, of course. Overlooked, however, is how there is one more, rather good and important reason Joe Biden, or really any politician, would pick someone like Harris: because by comparison, you’ll always look better. Harris is such a singularly grating personality that she polls lower than lemon juice on an open wound.

There were a lot of head-smacking moments during oral arguments before the Supreme Court regarding Joe Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate for companies with more than 100 employees. Even though I know the left wing of the court is packed with totalitarians, it always takes my breath away to hear them opine about how the government should be allowed to exercise almost unlimited power over Americans, and their cavalier attitude about the rights of individuals. What I did not expect to hear was Ohio Solicitor General Ben Flowers—a Republican appointee—arguing before the court that the state essentially has unlimited power to force individuals to take a vaccination.

In fact, on most any matter dear to the left’s perverse agenda, one is safer assuming that the leftist you’re hearing or reading is lying. Say one thing for the once-august Smithsonian Institution: When they decide to do something, they go big. The Smithsonian didn’t settle for a replica of the Wright Flyer, it would only accept the real thing, and that’s what’s hanging in the National Air & Space Museum in Washington. Reality used to be the Smithsonian’s prime directive. Now? They’re now building a new collection, but it’s not devoted to science, history, industry, or anything so unifying and uplifting. The Smithsonian’s new collection is nakedly political and linked to lies. And it’s not the first time.

Tucker Carlson used video of Cruz’s comments as the keystone of a segment on how Republicans are being cowardly and granting Democrats their false premises on the riot at the Capitol being an insurrection or even a “terrorist attack.” As Tucker put it, he was delivering talking points for Merrick Garland

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has become persona non grata to progressives. Which is, truthfully, a remarkably easy feat. He started irritating them around a year ago when he criticized politicians who didn’t obey their own COVID-19 mandates. More recently he deplored the “woke mob” and “cancel culture.” The woke mob became truly apoplectic when Rodgers wasn’t clear about his vaccination status and then spoke with popular podcaster Joe Rogan, subsequently saying he had availed himself of the same COVID-19 treatment Rogan claimed to have used successfully. You know, the so-called “horse de-wormer.” Which is not a Dr. Fauci-approved “vaccine.”

Chuckie Schumer wrote to tell Republicans, who will be destroyed if the act passes, that they’d better pass the act or else he’ll destroy the filibuster and pass the act without them.
